a salad and a salad in a styrofoam container

Monday night 04/24 10:00pm The female employee was very rude and unprofessional. I came in an hour before they close she did not acknowledge me for atleast 5 minutes when I wanted to order take out. She even said "Why do these people keep coming in , we're trying to close." I understand if I had came in 30 before closing, but they had a whole hour left. The entire time making my food she had a bad attitude. Also asked for a side of guac and queso and gave me half the container of both which I have to pay for. Management needs to work on staffing and training.

My wife just called to discuss the fact that they hadn't added her base of cauliflower rice which is an extra expense and that our food was cold and when we told the employee on the other side of the line that we weren't exaggerating when we said it was cold and had our food thermometer in it and the chicken was 76°F the employee said "you got a thermometer? Bitch bye!" By far the worst we've ever been treated anywhere. This all occurred within 10 minutes of picking up our food.

The stingiest Chipotle ever! And nothing is ever ready. They are always waiting on rice. Or salsa. Or cheese.

We paid $26 for both plates and the side of crab rangoons which is a great deal for this amount of food. Ladies taking our order were very friendly and helpful. Spot is tucked away, not easily visible but worth a try. Place was empty so lots of seats available for indoor dining. It is good and I would stop by if I was in the area and looking for some good, inexpensive food but I wouldn't go out of my way to drive to this spot if I lived far away. 4 starts because it is Good Chinese food, similar to Puerto Rico but not quite it. Friend chicken was missing a bit of flavor but won't lie it was fried to perfection.

Translation: This…read moreestablishment is one of those unassuming places that are located in economically challenged areas yet offer surprisingly good food! They really need to do a lot of work with the aesthetics, but the place has potential. This is a straight up Chinese Puerto Rican spot ... a fusion that can't be beat! They have young Latina's taking orders up front while the Chinese guys cheffing it up in the back. The food was better than I expected and did remind me of my favorite fast food Chinese takeout back home in the Bronx back in the day. The beef and broccoli were disappointing because the meat was really rubbery. But the Mofongo was sooooo soft, like buttery soft. It was really good. The boneless spare tips were excellent but the fried rice slightly bland but nothing some soy sauce couldn't remedy. I enjoyed having a can of Coco Rico with my meals like I do when I'm back in my other home of Puerto Rico. Im ready to try other menu items!

It was super packed when we came in for dinner on a Friday night, but the bar area had all open seating so we sat there. We started off with our cocktails and some spam musubi. The regular spam musubi is delicious, but the fried spam musubi is out of this world! The Hō'āhi Rita was deliciously spicy and perfect for my fiancé's taste. The Koa & Kane was a very spirit forward rum drink that was right up my alley! I honestly would try every cocktail if I could. Another beverage I got was the POG juice with vodka added for $12. It was dangerously good. My fiancé and I both order a Mix Plate with varying options (pick 2 proteins and 2 sides). Collectively, we tried the kalua pork, shoyu chicken, shoyu ahi, and spicy ahi proteins with mac salad and spam fried rice. The spam fried rice and the shoyu chicken was our fav combo! The chicken was so soft and deliciously marinated. The ahi tuna tasted like any other ahi tuna you would get at any nearby poke spot, but the chicken and pork were out fantastic! I would have the kalua pork in their sandwich next time instead of as a protein in their mix plate. I absolutely do want to come back here! They have brunch on Sundays, but this menu has a couple all day breakfast items so you could really have brunch whenever. There is no happy hour here (yet) unfortunately.

We also got the thick beef ribs, which were not to our liking but appeared to be cooked well. I missed that that these were beef ribs, not pork. The Kailua pork and cabbage was moist and seasoned just right. The sides of rice and mac salad were good and plentiful. I would go back for the Korean chicken and Mac Salad, but that's about it. Well, I could be talked into more of the Kailua pork and cabbage too, it's hard to make at home. I paid the required 3% surcharge for the back of kitchen and my adddd my standard 20% tip, because the total was still reasonable. But I would have maybe cut back the tip to 15-17% if it had been more costly of a meal. If this becomes a restaurant trend, I will do this for sure.
