All the tables were cleaned and had their chairs all in order and tucked in, they had friendly staff working, I didn't feel rushed ordering, the trash bins were all refilled, and the ingredients in my bowl all tasted particularly fresh too. I only really end up here sometimes for a quick bite during lunch as I work in Davis. But they are always quick. When I order online my order is almost always correct and if there is a mistake it is usually extra things. It's a chipotle so the food is as good as fast food Mexican gets but when you're in the mood for that it definitely hits. I would not eat at this location! My nephew and his friend ate from here on Dec 18, 2024 and both got extremely sick from here. Lol... GO TO ANNA'S. Do not waste your time here, this place is a little bit laughable at the moment. This is my first time at this location, I went in to get the new Carne Asada Bowl that's been heavily advertised to me for the last couple months. They said they couldn't make it. So I pointed at the big sign advertising their other new NEW bowl, and they said they were out of that too. So I said that's okay, I'll have a quesadilla, and they said sorry you'd have had to have ordered that online in advance (what?)... so I said okay, what can I get? "A bowl or a burrito." Okay, I'll have a burrito. Nobody at the counter had a clue how to make a burrito (WHAT?), mine is a ball of ingredients loosely wrapped in foil. I'm not super sure how eat it, they should have just told me they only make bowls, because that's what it more closely resembles. I watched the woman try her attempt at wrapping it into a burrito, then she looked at my burrito and just gave up, walking away without saying anything... the man next to her saw this happen and came over and half-heartedly tried to squish the ball she'd made into some foil. It's not the end of the world, but not the experience I was hoping for. They also totally screwed up the burritos for the other two people in line that I saw order them too, the employee literally asked one of the customers if he could just dump it into a bowl instead, and the customer laughed and said okay. Wtf is happening here? I guess come here if you want a good laugh at your own expense. How do the employees have jobs here and not know how to make a single thing on the menu? I think I've been to a Chipotle before but I could be wrong. They blend with Qdoba and Boloco to me, and have nothing that creates their brand - much as "Welcome to Mooooooe's!" does for Moe's and a really kcuffing fast burrito does for Anna's Taqueria. P.S. I like run-ons, the sound of breaking glass and hockey. Two truths, one lie. So, the wrap shack in Davis Square opened up and I decided to grab dinner there - partly because I had to eventually, partly to fuel my Davis list. Four patrons in and around, no real buzz and very industrial. The menu read like 1984 propaganda: EAT. MEAT. SALSA. SIDES. Even the bags of chips sitting under hot lamps had that generic "Other Guy" look. Moving on. I opted for a steak and chicken burrito. Black beans, cilantro rice, hot salsa, green tomatillo and a little cheese. She scooped the beans and caught a huge chunk of the neighboring peppers and onions in her spoon. Onions are the devil's food - unless fried or in salsa. Whatever. Onion haters understand. I asked if she could remove the offending produce and she acted like I asked her to toothbrush the tiles. The rest of the assembly line went smoothly. Hooray. So, I paid and left and got home and ate the damn thing. Meat was overcooked, tortilla didn't stay together and in the 15 minutes from ordering to my belly, the cheese didn't even melt. The clerk (20s female) looked quite annoyed and said "we don't have that", followed by "is it an iphone?" (it's not).
