I came to Chipotle with my family -- 7 people total -- and we spent a decent amount of money. While trying to find napkins, I didn't immediately notice where they were. When I asked an employee (an African-American male) for help, he responded with shocking rudeness: "What, are you blind? Open your eyes and look up, idiot." I was stunned. No one deserves to be spoken to like that. I immediately approached the manager, hoping for a professional response -- but she did absolutely nothing. No apology, no explanation, no accountability. The employee didn't change his behavior either. This kind of attitude is unacceptable in any business, especially one that claims to value customer service. This is my 3rd terrible experience at this location in just a few months. I'm a longtime Chipotle customer and I can't believe how horrible this location seems to ALWAYS be. Why bother going? My first 2 complaints were for nasty burrito counter prep areas on 2 separate visits, one being late at night where it looked like the place hadn't been cleaned in hours. Today I walked in, second in line, and after watching the burrito maker confuse the order for the person in front of me, I got ready to order. My turn came up, I asked for a burrito and the person didn't understand me and grabbed a bowl, I said no, BURRITO, and she grabbed a tortilla. I guess that was the next best guess, right? Then I asked for double wrap and then this is where it got nuts. I spent at least a minute telling her what I wanted as she proceeded to show me the bowl again, and then folded the tortilla into several shapes, then rolling it!?!? Then she folded the second one into shapes next to the other tortilla, then ANOTHER person came over and they both folded them simultaneously. Both of them started speaking Spanish to each other and came to some conclusion to start over and do it again.... Unbelievable, I walked away towards the pickup order person who seemed to be waiting for the next order and asked her if she could help make me a burrito since the rest of the squad was still making origami with tortillas. "No" she said, "I can only make online orders. " I then asked for a manager, someone came out and just started saying to me out of nowhere they can't make large quesadillas anymore. So I gave up. Never did I utter the word "quesadilla". This was a total clown show. Why is this store always either filthy or clueless ?!?! Anyone that's gone to a chipotle throughout their life could probably walk right on up to the assembly line and construct a burrito for themselves or someone else. How can the employees there getting paid to do it be so clueless? Makes you wonder what goes on with food safety and handling, and prep at this location. Disgusting to think about. read more

Unbelievable I ordered a bowl a steak bowl my favorite. It came on time but when I looked in the bag, it was three quesadillas and a soda. I ordered the meal through. doorDash, I was very upset because it was late night and I really wanted my bowl. I called them and said I don't want this. You can come back and get it. I spent $23.80 to be exact for a bowl and I got four quesadillas and some sour cream on the side and a soda. I asked them to at least have something else sent out the DoorDash people said unfortunately we can't do that now it's obvious this is not my order. All they had to do is call chipotle to see that my order wasn't picked up correctly because someone else's order is incorrect also cause I have someone else's food they told me there's nothing they can do. I was so upset DoorDash does not stand behind products when they mess up. I wanted them to send that driver back to get this and go back and get my food and they wouldn't do it. When they mess up your order they should fix it. The driver made a mistake. He didn't look at the package so it was up to him to redo this. They told me I had to replace my order and then turn they would refund that money. I felt like it wasn't my responsibility to repay again. DoorDash is terrible. I won't use them again. read more

This is the filthiest restaurant I've ever been to, and this isn't a one off experience at this location. The male employee making the burritos/bowls was downright rude, unresponsive and to be honest, a little off. Our family commented on odd the encounter was after. The female worker that helped at the condiments/toppings area seemed pleasant enough but didn't quite understand our request of the salsa we wanted and added an extra one on there that we didn't want. She didn't offer to remake, just a sheepish smile and sorry. She wasn't rude but just didn't really understand. The kitchen area looked visibly dirty and unclean. Same with the riding area. Every table that wasn't occupied had trash still sitting on it and the store itself had a dirty appearance, as if it needed a deep cleaning. I'm not sure if this is a corporate or franchise store but some people with the company need to come in and take a look. There are a lot of options around this area, from high end to casual, to choose from and I wouldn't want to return of changes aren't made. read more

It's a chain, so the usual applies. -consistency -quality -cleanliness The location of this Chipotle is brilliant. Its directly across the street from a hospital and 2 blocks from the Sarasota Bay. There is plenty of parking and the dining area is big and well lit. I appreciated the open feel and efficient service and I was about to give them FOUR stars. But then they served old lettuce. WHAT? Oh my goodness how could they have been doing so good and then, "Bang" out of the blue, poor quality. You can tell old or poor lettuce because of the browning on the leaves and especially around the edges of the cuts. -consistency-yes -quality- no :( -cleanliness -yes I'll be back tomorrow and we'll see if they get new lettuce. read more

Always gets your order wrong and is almost Always out of the salad dressing. If you order on the app and they are out of something they will just skip it. For example: I ordered a solid one time, got home and it had everything except for the lettuce.... When I called they said we were out so we just skipped it. Food was fresh and tasted fantastic; better than many other locations in fact. The service was even better besides the lack of knowing the difference of a burrito and burrito bowl. This review is based in many visits over the course of a year... Employees usually treat you like they're irritated and you're bothering them while you're standing there ordering. Food is RIDICULOUSLY priced. It's crazy how expensive this place is. Food tastes pretty good which is why this isn't a 1 start review. DO NOT order take out... they don't follow the written instructions and the amount of food is about 1/2 of what it's supposed to be. This is likely the worst Chipotle I've ever been to. First, in the parking lot the was garbage everywhere, food containers, trash, etc. Walked in and there were 5 people all sitting near the front. At least 3 of these were employees, maybe all. I saw 3 get up and walk into the back while we were there. There were 2 employees behind the counter, neither wore a mask FYI. There was no guacamole, no grilled veggies either. Being vegetarian, we asked if there was more of both but told no. This was a Thursday night 12/9 at about an hour before closing. I think the owner needs to know this is pretty bad. Where was the Manager? Why weren't people outside cleaning up, why would you ever run out of ingredients? Easily the worst Chipotle location I've visited. Consistently bad from a customer service perspective otherwise I wouldn't have bothered to leave a review. I visited today at 3:30pm, I was the only person in line, never greeted, never told someone would take my order...I left after 5 minutes and got my food elsewhere. There were five employees present including the cook and the guy who shuffled from the back eating a tangerine. There was a "no change" sign at the front, no problem. On other visits they ran out of white rice, and another visit they were out of one of the proteins. The only reason this spot hasn't closed is location, they're directly across the street from Sarasota Memorial Hospital. I suggest Chipotle regional management visits this location periodically as "secret shoppers" to experience this poor representation of their brand. read more

When your staff is unprofessional because THEY messed up an ENTIRE order over $100. Instead of providing customer service and remaking the food (we returned the first order), they decide its a good idea to laugh and make fun of us FOR THEIR MISTAKE. We order from this location quite often, and quite often, they get the order wrong and label everything incorrectly. It's not hard to follow instructions on a ticket. The manager was completely unprofessional as well. Ridiculous. I hope that management and corporate fix these issues. We will never be ordering from this location again, and we're going to network to EVERYONE we know not to order from that location as well. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. I have been to Chipotle all over the United States. And this is hands down the worst Chipotle I have ever been too. The works sucked ass and so did the food. They refused to put chicken in my quesadilla, while every other Chipotle has. I mean it's a CHICKEN quesadilla. And the rice was not cooked all the way and it did not have the lime taste to it at all. Also the chips were awful with no taste to them to. They also ran out of the kid chip bags for the kid meals and did not replace it at all. While we paid for that because its the part of the kid meal. Also the queso fucking sucked ass. The sweet tea was also old and tasted funny. The whole experience was awful and I do not recommend ever going. If honestly they should put something else there, and get rid of the chipot! Today I ordered the food from DoorDash and they brought the totally wrong salad every single item was wrong. I'm on a strict diet and instead of steak they put Barbacoa and I ordered and paid for double steak there was barely any meat, they did not put my sour cream cheese or hot salsa instead they put rice and literally four beans. There was a sticker still on the pepper for the fajita veggies. I rarely write reviews, but this Chiptole is poorly run. A horrible representation of the $CMG standard... Online order placed 8:45 promised 9 pm. Ok, I gave them some time, so I showed up 15min later. I waited until 9:45 to receive it. They would make the order of the people in line over the promised times. They have a second area to make online orders, and it isn't even being used properly. I didn't have the drink I ordered, and the cashier spoke very little English. Who runs this location?
