Tim and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit. My strawberry daiquiri was precisely what I needed. The drink and food menus presented a diverse array of options, including margaritas, skinny margaritas, beer, specialty drinks, and cocktails. The food menu has a wider range of options and multiple combinations of different food. We started with chips, salsa, and cheese dip, followed by our entrées, which were served with great care . The ambiance was welcoming, and the outdoor patio and catering services added to the appeal. 6508 Mark Way St., Mission, KS Hours: Friday Saturday 11 AM to 10 PM Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 11 AM to 9 PM They do take reservations online

Secondly, when I went home, I was just expecting tacos, and found this wide array of grilled vegetables in my takeout order. Thirdly, several of the tacos were insanely delicious. The server was pretty chill when I was placing my order. And the music in the background was Bad Bunny style, fun stuff.

Respectfully, nothing was fundamentally wrong with the food, but it didn't distinguish itself. I'd eat there again if nearby, but wouldn't travel for it. Service was good for ordering and receiving time. From order to table was approximately 10 minutes which is exceptional considering the quantity of food ordered. The tables needed to be wiped down, and the table service was pretty much non-existent. You order your food at a register, seat yourself and that's that. No waitress or water; you have to buy bottled water. Price point was ~$65 for the taco platter and another ~$10 for the quesabirria tacos. This filled up the family of 4 with leftovers. There is a condiments / salsa bar but customers ran through it and there was mixed food between all the containers. The pickled red onion has their own kick to it which I enjoyed and their salsas/hot sauces are good. The decor is pretty straightforward, tables and chairs, with typical music you'd expect from other Mexican restaurants. Futbol on the TV's and old movies on others. There is a chef at the opposite end of where you order your food, hats off to that man he was very receptive and worked very hard. He helped with getting our table wiped down, our waters, and to go stuff for our leftovers, if he sees this, I want him to know I appreciated his efforts. This review is for my first time experience in Overland Park. I do not know if this is normal or because it was a Sunday that this is what the experience is but I will say, If they offered free water, had a busser, and kept the place more tidy it easily would elevate the rating.

I felt like branching out and noticed the Kansas Burrito is touted as one of their top sellers. On paper, a triple-threat combo of pork, ground beef, and chicken smothered in spinach dip sounds tough to beat. I skipped the rice and doubled down on refried beans instead. The execution just didn't live up to the billing. It's hyped as a massive heavyweight, but what landed on the plate was distinctly pedestrian-sized. Worse, the ground beef hijacked the entire flavor profile. The pork and chicken were practically MIA unless everything got minced down into an indistinguishable mystery hash. It wasn't terrible, but it's firmly a one-and-done for me. Lesson learned--next time I'm sticking to the proven hitters: the flautas, carnitas, sizzling fajitas, or my personal heavyweight champ, the poblano con pollo. That said, the visit was far from a loss. The dining room was spotless and had a nice vibe, we were seated immediately, had plenty of chips to snack on and our server was sharp and attentive from start to finish. To top it off, the cucumber-chili margarita was absolute perfection. Credit where it's due: across every location, they simply do not miss behind the bar.

The service was okay! Nothing super special but they answered questions and were helpful at the counter. This was our first time here so we ordered a few things to sample and share amongst ourselves. The first thing we had was the chips and queso, which I thought was a bit expensive at $7.99 but not too bad. The queso was fairly spicy but otherwise nothing special. I usually love queso so it surprised me how neutral I felt toward it! The chips were good, thin and light with a crispy bite to them. We unfortunately didn't get to try the salsa, noticing only at the end of our meal that there was a sauce bar near the counter! The birria tacos were also...okay. They were very juicy but not very uniquely flavored compared to everything else we tried. The meat was tender and I loved the texture of the tortilla, but didn't care for the massive handful of cilantro dropped on top of everything on the plate. The dipping liquid (birria sauce?) was alright! It was the same flavor as the tacos themselves so it didn't add much, but it definitely wasn't bad. The "main course" of what we ordered was a combo of soft chicken tacos, rice, and beans. The chicken tacos were unfortunately very cold by the time we got them which was a bit strange, as almost everything else was hot! They tasted good but I'm really not a fan of eating cold chicken, so I passed them off to my friends. The beans were just okay. There's really not much to say about them. The rice also left me disappointed! I typically devour Spanish rice. Not only was it cold, there were also odd, hard grains of rice mixed in. Not enough to get one every bite but enough that the experience of eating it was off-putting. It was also quite bland. Another note: While we were eating, there was this constant loud droning coming from the air conditioner. I'm a MASSIVE fan of air conditioning so I'm grateful it was on in the first place, but that is something they really need to get fixed. Two women seated near us actually got up and walked outside after commenting multiple times about how disturbing the noise was. My experience here was definitely a mixed bag but it leaned toward the positive, so we'll likely try them again! They had several other menu items I'd like to try, including some American fare that I found intriguing.

My build-your-own weekday lunch ($8) included choice of entrée, choice of beans and rice. It was served just ten minutes after I ordered at the table, which gave me time to dig into the complimentary chips and mild (with a little kick), somewhat chunky salsa. The chicken tinga burrito was packed full of moist, white chicken and topped with a very flavorful sauce and cheese. I found the black beans to be pretty good, but the rice was somewhat dry and clumpy. The dining area had a central bar area, unique light fixtures, a mix of booths and tables, Mexican decor, Mexican background music (not too loud), a table-side cart for fresh guacamole and several backdrop spots for photos. I also noticed two rollup garage doors leading to the covered patio area. The food and drink menus included Mexican favorites, taco flights, taquito flights, margarita flights, 88 tequilas, meals for the kiddos and brunch (Sat & Sun 11AM - 2PM). Overall, very nice, especially for the lunch price.

It was served just nine minutes after I ordered at the table, which gave me time to dig into the complimentary thin & crispy chips, salsa verde and mild, tasty salsa. I found the service to be stellar - attentive, cheerful, friendly and polite - nice! The beverage, chips and salsa refills kept coming. The spacious interior was clean and colorful with a main dining area, a secondary dining area and a bar area with more seating. I noticed Mexican background music and several TVs in the bar area.
