I like this Portillo's in particular because they have nice outdoor seating. The direction the seating is facing (I think it's west) always seems to give you a nice, gentle breeze. I think it's only about 5 or 6 tables, but it's very pleasant. I got a beef, fries and a soft drink and everything went as planned. I didn't take a pic, because it would look like any other one that a yelp reviewer posted. I wish I had taken a picture of the seating area though. I go there to meet friends once every three months. It's about an hour from my home, but it's equidistant from the other 3 people that I meet with. The people at the register are friendly and quick. I always use my perks card, so this time I got free fries. I always love going to Portillo's.

The menu has so many great choices... it took a while to decide what to order. It was juicy and delicious! For an extra fee you can add on a side and a drink so my husband added a homemade soup which was cream of Chicken and it was delicious! We also ordered cheese curds (there were 20 of them) and mozzarella sticks 5. They were both delicious but we both loved the cheese curds the best they had a better tasting crust and a more crunchy texture. The dining room is dated but very clean! The booths are very comfortable. They have two and four seater booths... lots of tables too! The people working here are very nice and

This isn't hyperbole. This door doesn't simply close -- it announces itself with the fury of creation. It's a blast so thunderous it could part clouds. When I tried to shut it, the resulting sound wave nearly knocked the sauce cups off the counter. My grandpa, who's lived through enough history to be unshakable, heard it and went pale -- said it sounded like "the sky itself falling." The entire restaurant froze. Fry cooks paused. Toasts trembled. For a full five seconds, everyone in that Cane's shared a single, reverent silence. And that's when it hit me: this door is not just loud -- it's holy. It deserves pilgrims. People travel the world to see the Grand Canyon, to visit the pyramids, to circle the Kaaba in Mecca. But one day, I believe they'll come to DeKalb -- not for the chicken tenders (though they are solid) -- but to experience The Door. To stand before it in awe. To hear its unearthly thunder and whisper, "I was here." You don't visit this Raising Cane's. You make a pilgrimage to it. You bring your friends, your family, your earplugs. You witness something primal and transcendent -- a door that humbles all who hear it. Five stars. A divine experience in fast-food form. Come for the chicken, stay for the revelation.

New day, new review…read more We hadn't visited in a while (time marches on) and I had a burning taste for the Dirty Bird. So back we went. The theme is still the same - CHICKEN EVERYWHERE! It's clear, and they love chicken. I mean they REALLY love Chicken! First off, they are FAST. They were very busy - almost every table filled and they kept filling after people left. After we placed our order, our chicken (two Baby Bird meals) came out HOT and FRESH within around 7 minutes. With my appetite, the Baby Bird is the right size, and I have a big appetite for their chicken. Service was great as well - our drinks were checked, and the server was very pleasant. My friend ordered the soup flight(only available in the fall) and I chose fried pickle burger. (I know a burger at a chicken place) the soup flight had three cups of the soups of the day and a four cup of the brisket chili. It also came with a grilled cheese sandwich. Plenty of food! My deep fried pickle burger was a thick patty, crunchy onions and 2 thick deep fried pickle chips with a dill sauce on top. The burger was juicy and the toppings were delicious with a little crunch.
