Toronto has some of the best Chinese food outside of Hong Kong / China, so I normally don't eat Chinese food when I travel in US or Europe.
Let's just say due to business needs, I ended up eating in this place, more than once. This makes me wonder if I should review the restaurant based on more than just food.
First, the food tasted quite bland, lots of deep-fried stuff, no leafy vegetables, and surprisingly dismal "seafood" choices, considering Gothenburg is one of the great culinary cities in the world for seafood. -- if you are looking for somewhat authentic Chinese food, this place would be a "meh".
But for what it is, a relatively inexpensive eatery in a touristy part of the city, it offers something different (i.e. Swedish-Chinese) for visitors who want to take a temporary detour from Scandinavian cuisine, and to Chinese visitors who crave anything that resembles motherland food, this can be an oasis in the desert. -- hence the bump up to 3 stars. read more
