We ordered takeout twice from them and love the food and it's reasonably priced. They are very busy for a reason.

Now named China Town. Very very very slow. Took over 35 minutes to get our simple meals from the…read morelunch menu - cashew chicken and egg foo yung. Soups - wonton and hot and sour were very good but so hot I thought might have come from microwave. They were out of sweet tea - a sacrilege in South Carolina! Entrees were mediocre. Fried rice was good. Dunno if I'll go back.

Chinese delivery close by? Is it too good to be true?! I'll find out soon. Since there was a bad…read morereview for delivery I decided to order delivery. Yes I'm testing them because I know an amazing Chinese place that I normally would have gone to. The curry chicken on the menu peaked my interest. So I made a small order of that and a general tso combo. The call was four minutes and I was quoted 45min-1hr. I live very close. I was told there was no delivery charge which was awesome. With one great review on here and one terrible review I've gotta be the tie breaker. I'm pretty excited as I don't have to go anywhere for this yelp review. I was off the phone by 6pm and it only took 4 minutes with general questions to ordering to giving card info and getting off the phone. Now I wait.... 6:10pm I notice on menupix that they offer a pork bun? 6:12pm No pork bun but I asked them to include a couple of menu's and a pair of chopsticks in the delivery. I have Crunchyroll on stand by for some anime when the food gets here. I'll be posting pics of the menu for everyone because menupix.com seems to be inaccurate. 6:45pm and not here yet, another 15 minutes till they start being late. 7:11pm....11 minutes late....are they walking FROM the 711???? I thought up to an hour was insane to begin with. *sigh* Let's see what happens in the next 15 minutes...... 7:24pm I see there a charge on my card for over $17!? I call and am told that it is $3 for delivery plus tax. Good lord for some general tso and small order of curry chicken? Tip is out the window at this point. 7:26pm, almost 30 minutes late. In the middle of being on the phone with them. Ridiculous. Food is finally here. Two menus and chopsticks - check. 7:35pm...I call back because the general tso tastes sweet????? Wtf? She said honey chicken when we got off the phone last time but our dogs were barking up a storm when they knocked on our door and I know I heard them say honey chicken and general tso does NOT taste sweet so that's odd. *sigh* Alright here we go... General Tso: 1/5 stars Soggy, no crunch or body to it, no heat/spicy means that this mess is a complete failure. The General weeps. Lo Mein: 1/5 stars Overcooked, no bite to them. Everything is chopped up as if it's being served to a toddler. Very disappointing. Curry Chicken 5/5 stars ....Wait...WHAT!? I absolutely REFUSE to believe this came from the same kitchen. It's like it came from a different restaurant!!! All of the wonderful medley of vegetables were cooked perfectly, the chicken was moist and delicate, the spice was just right!! The smell....heaven. There was not only the perfect amount of chicken but also the perfect amount of vegetables and they were all so full of flavor!! I especially enjoyed the occasional mushroom. My god. Fire the cook who made the general tso and make the cook who made this the executive chef. Good god man. Wait a minute...THIS WAS UNDER $5!? I could've had the perfect evening sitting in my car in the parking lot at $12 and a huge headache less!!! Conclusion: Delivery service is practically non existent. If you are somehow able to predict you will be hungry in two hours then go for it. Otherwise don't empty your wallet on terrible delivery service. With one complete failure and one triumph, it's obvious that there must be separate cooks because one has the vegetables and noodles in the lo mein cooked to oblivion and the other seems to be a master of their craft. Due to this experience alone, with horrible delivery service, poor communication, and terrible food (save for the curry chicken!!), I have to give them two stars, and that's only for the curry chicken!!!!

Five stars and then some…read more Lieu's Bistro is one of those rare spots where the food is excellent and the hospitality feels ancestral. You walk in hungry and leave hugged. The egg flower soup is pure comfort in a bowl. Silky ribbons of egg drifting through a golden broth that tastes like it has stories to tell. It is delicate but confident, warm without being heavy, the kind of soup that resets your whole mood. And the Szechuan salmon? Listen. Perfectly cooked, tender and flaky, wrapped in that bold, slightly spicy Szechuan glaze that dances instead of overwhelms. It has heat, depth, personality. Every bite feels intentional. What really sets this place apart is Peter and his wife. They do not just run a restaurant, they cultivate community. Every time I come in, they show me love like I am family. Not the polite, rehearsed kind. The real kind. The "good to see you again" with meaning behind it. If you want amazing food and an atmosphere that feels like home, Lieu's Bistro is it. Some restaurants feed you. This one embraces you.
