The service of the hostess was repelling. The food is bland and what ambience!?! It's filled with empty tables and chairs. Theres an adjacent table from the cashier for your packets of mustard, soy sauce or duck sauce. It is a sad house if this is their house special Lo mein. read more

Ordered food through DoorDash from this location. Very cheap prices and you get a lot of food. I got the pick four, and got pork fried rice, shrimp Lo mein, chicken fingers and chicken teriyaki. The food quality was just okay. The chicken teriyaki had a little strange flavor and the chicken fingers were soggy. The rice and lo mein were decent. Great prices though! read more

I've never had an issue here. My go to is the Mongolian Beef, and steamed dumplings. Staff is always attentive when I come in for my order. Hole in the wall place, but if you order the right food you won't be disappointed. read more

It was a cold windy winter night in Old Town. I was waiting for a cab at Hannafords and went in for some crab rangoons. To no avail. So Sadly I left and darn near got blown all the way to China Town. I called my cab to see how long he'd be. He told me 10 minutes. So I decided to get crab rangoons from this quaint little chinese place. I went in, made my order, set my bag down and before I know it my cab was beeping outside. He had arrived earlier than he'd said. I yelled down to the guy, thinking he hadnt quite put in the ragoons yet and he told me they were done! He packed them up, I thanked him and out the door I went! Amazing! Now here I sit in my warm living room eating awesome crab ragoons and still amazed at how that all happened so fast. Thank you dude, YOU ROCK! read more

I go here frequently. Even though I recently moved thirty minutes away and there are closer options, I still choose to come here because it truly is the best chinese food in the greater bangor area. I praise this place to anyone who will listen. Does not disappoint! General tso chicken and beef lo mein are a personal fav of mine, but everything i've ever ordered has been stupidly delicious. I was 20 min late for my pick up order and the food was still decent. the Vegetable fried rice was full of fresh veggies. If you have MSG or high sodium concerns this is the place to dine. My fried dumpling were good. My sons steamed dumplings were " The best" he has ever had and he spends a good deal of time eating in Boston, specifically Chinese food. I have been ordering delivery from this location for about 2 years now. I really like that I can order the food online. However, recently their prices have gone up and the quality has gone down. My most recent experience sealed the deal. I don't think they will be receiving my business anymore. I ordered food online using the online service. After about an hour we still had not received our food. So we called the place and were told our driver left 20 minutes ago. We do not live 20 minutes away from this place. It is a short drive. When our food finally arrived it was cold and flavorless. They did not give the gravy for the Egg Foo Young, did not give the crispy noodles for the Chow Mein, only gave 3 fortune cookies for the four meals we ordered, two forks, not hot mustard that I specifically requested. It was terrible. Time to find a new place. Update 3/24/16 Raised to 3 stars. They must have got a new cook. The food has now been improved to average. Unfortunately, there are no other options here for delivery, so we accepted the average food. Update September 2016 I called an order in, as their online ordering was not in service. A woman answered and took my order. An hour later our food had not arrived yet, so I called to inquire about it. The same woman answered the phone and denied I had ever placed the order. She was rude and made no effort to correct the situation. I just said goodbye. Horrible customer service. I like trying different places from time to time so I went in here, and perhaps I should've walked right back out. The atmosphere was not at all inviting. Since there was no sign indicating whether one should wait to be seat or seat oneself, I went to the "Order Here" counter located near the back. The woman in the kitchen was in no hurry to get to the counter upon seeing me. I placed my order and paid for it. She did not ask whether it was a dine-in or takeout order. I sat down at a table and removed my coat, hanging it behind me on the chair. The woman who had taken my order brought out another order to a gentleman who had been waiting. When it came time for my order, she just held up the bag in a way that suggested that she could not be inconvenienced to walk to my table (which was closer than the previous customer's) and that I should get the order myself. She didn't bother hand it to me either; just sat it on a table. She turned and began walking away. Since the staff hadn't figured out that I was eating in from the removal of my coat, I asked her for a glass of water. That also seemed to be an inconvenience. In the meantime, another gentleman who worked there had also walked past - no greeting, no offer of a glass of water, no thanks for coming in; in short, no acknowledgement whatsoever. The food was OK but was certainly not great quality. They packaged it in a Styrofoam container, because, despite having several tables, I believe they just assume that everyone is getting take out. If I were closer to home I probably would've just taken the order with me, too; as I pointed out initially, the atmosphere was far from inviting. Very drab and cluttered. It seems miraculous that they get any business at all; if I'm in the Old Town area in the future, I doubt I will patronize Chinatown unless their service and atmosphere improves considerably. read more

Mediocre Food and terrible terrible service were the hallmarks of my visit. I went inside around 1:00 pm for lunch after driving for 3 hours. The place was pretty much empty. Straight ahead was a sign that said "Order Here". I went and stood under the sign looking at a to-go menu until a woman came out and said "yes?". I ordered house special lo mein (beef, chicken and shrimp) and went to sit at a table. A short time later the woman emerged from the kitchen with a plastic bag containing a to-go container with the noodles. When I explained I needed to eat there she left and returned with a small square of napkin and a white plastic fork. A glass of water and chopsticks came on request. Condiments were apparently self serve from a couple boxes up front. The noodles were unremarkable. I've had worse. The chicken was in tiny bits and dry but the beef was in thin tender strips and was actually rather nice. The five tiny cocktail shrimp were.... well .... tiny cocktail shrimp. Both 1 inch pieces of scallion were tasty. The noodles themselves were either greasy or slimy or both. Not really bad, just not very good. The woman never came back. I ate what I could and left, never to return. read more

Decided to try this place for the first time and I can say I probably will never go back. I got the combo platter with chicken chow mein, pork fried rice and an eggroll, it came to $9.18. The portion size was tiny for the price. The chow mein was okay but it was very bland, it was pretty much just onions and all it really tasted like was onion and carrot in a watery sauce and the chicken was bland. The rice was also very bland but tasted okay mixed with the chow mein. The egg rolls was just disgusting. It tasted like raw dough. It even smelt like raw dough. I didn't even eat it, it was that bad. Overall I was very dissatisfied, total rip off. read more

The food is over cooked and over priced. The rice has no flavor other than grease. The chicken tenders were dried out with small piece of chicken in large batter. The wings were battered and fried and dry. The pork was slimy and small quantity. The chicken skewers were dried out and mostly dark meat, not white meat. The beef skewers were no flavor although not as dry as the chicken. I would not recommend them for anything. And for the environment... there was more algae in the fish tank than water and it was disgusting. No decor and poor customer service. read more

Almost went to Bangor because the sign doesn't light up and couldn't find it. The following is summed up by: don't even try it once. I feel bad for the employees. The ownership steers a business to be a success or failure. Growing up in Old Town we never ate here. Now, back in Old Town and I know why. Why didn't I just go down to Bangor? The place is dirty and run down. Like the other Chinese restaurants. But at least the others are busy. Not a soul besides employees. I used the bathroom while I waited for my takeout. Dirt all along the edge of the floor. No soap; how did the cook wash his hands after me? My spare ribs were refrigerator cold. And my fried rice was gooey. Not fresh. Probably not made today. If it was my apologies but doesn't excuse the texture. The other parts of my order were all fried so at least those were infallible. Good rangoons and egg rolls; freezer to fryer equals little effort. If you want to do well as a business owner you have to work for it. Theyare not putting the passion into anything.
