My boyfriend's Dragon and Phoenix was also good but the clear sweet sauce in the Phoenix side was an interesting twist , not sure if we'd order it again though as it was just a bit too sweet . Strip mall Chinese food is as American as fast food places like McDonald's and Burger King. This place isn't any different than most places you can stop at across the country. It's located next to a dance studio and state store. The food is always decent. The paper menu can be found in stacks at the counter. The same signage above the register of popular dishes. The phone is always ringing and someone is always parking in the fire lane directly in front of the restaurant to run in. The people that own/run it are FANTASTIC people. If it's slow you really get a chance to talk to them more. It's a small spot so I don't wait for my food inside I choose to sit at the tables outside next to the restaurant while I wait. I've been visiting Lancaster for the last 14ish years and always look forward to getting chinas best. It is the best (American) Chinese food place I've ever had and try to explain to others how good it is. I've lived all over the US and consider Chinese food to be my favorite type of food. China's Best had been closed for some time during the COVID-19 pandemic but are now up and running again. They have taken precautions and constructed a takeout window to pick up your order. To minimize contact there is even a drop box outside if the door to put your signed receipt when using a card to pay. Today I ordered the Shrimp Lo Mein Lunch Special which comes with Pork Fried Rice and a small roll. I asked for it spicy and they accommodated my request satisfactorily. Just found out yesterday that Yang's, my favorite Chinese restaurant in Lancaster (or anywhere) for over 30 years, is permanently closed. Very sad. Along with my daughter, decided to look for a possible replacement and picked China's Best based on reviews we read. We took the 25 minute trek to the North side of Lancaster and had lunch in this small corner restaurant. We both got lunch specials; shrimp with lobster sauce for her, chicken with cashew nuts for me. I also got a small order of won ton soup. The won ton soup is very good; nice broth, flavorful won tons, and scallions. Was it as good as Yang's? No. The chicken with cashew nuts, served with a side of pork fried rice, was fine but nothing special. Very little pork in the fried rice. The shrimp with lobster sauce was much the same: nothing wrong with it and the seafood pieces were generous, but it was not as flavorful as the Yang's version. And there was no replacement for my favorite dish at Yang's, chicken with honeyed walnuts. All in all, we'll keep looking for another Chinese restaurant to replace Yang's; this isn't it. If we lived closer, we would have no qualms ordering from here occasionally, but in the future, if we take the trouble to make the long trip in this direction, we're going to Ramarn. read more

Consistently good food. My son gets the chicken lo mein while my husband gets chicken and broccoli with shrimp lo mein. What I don't understand is why they insist on giving you a pint of white rice with a lo mein.. it's way too much carbohydrate/starch. No one can possibly eat all that in one sitting and not sure why anyone would want it all. You could say that you would put it aside and use it for something else but nine times out of 10. It becomes a science project sitting in the fridge. Otherwise good food decent prices didn't mean to complain about getting too much lol!. read more

Online they state they stay open till 10:30. My boyfriend and i work late shifts and understand not a lot of places are open so we check the hours of business. I called this place at 10, 30 minutes before they closed, and dont get an answer till the fourth time i called. The man said they only "sometimes" stay open till 10:30. If thats the case then that is cool, just post you close at 10 instead. The food can only help you so much if you dont have good customer service.
