The food was awful..cold and the chicken stringy..the egg roll was so greasy you could hardly eat it. They didn't answer the phone so we had to get service inside and make our order then had to wait forever for it to get done. This place could definitely use an upgrade on everything. This has always been my favorite Chinese restaurant in Wilkes. Lately things haven't been as superior as usual, but it's still really good. The sugar donuts have been very burnt the last 3 or 4 times so we stopped getting them. They have good lunch specials. Service is always good. Be sure to call in before you go if you are in a hurry as they stay busy a lot of times. Dining in is an option. read more

We used to eat here for years. We ate almost weekly. It seems like it constantly is changing hands and it continues to go from bad to worse. It is VERY DIRTY and is not being maintained at all. The quality of the food is really terrible. I see them go out the back door, smoke and do what ever and never wash their hands. They still do a decent business but when you talk to the customers waiting they seem as disappointed as we are. We will drive a mile or two more rather then risk getting sick or being even more disappointed. We sure hope they read this, realize how filthy the place is, spend a few dollar to modernize and clean it. Then if they improve the food it may survive. read more

Standard Chinese take out. Good, hot and large portions. Good, not wow, but good. Soups are just ok. Cream cheese wontons are the best in town. Good Lo mein. Beef and chicken are tough and chewy so we just get shrimp in our entrees. read more

Ok, so two days after...you know Chinese food is good as leftovers. I still had my almost full plate of that Singapore Rice Noodles. I heated it up and ate it all. It still had that off taste, but it wasn't as strong in my opinion. I don't know if I ate the whole thing because I was hungry now (remember when I originally ordered this I wasn't hungry), or that Chinese food really does taste better after a day or two, but I ate it! I was soooo disappointed in this place tonight. We live closer to Shanghai Express and usually order there but it was closed tonight so we ordered at the next closest place. Bad idea. First issue was that the lady who rang me up had the NASTIEST fingernails and hands I've EVER seen in a restaurant (and she was also the one cooking and handling food). I'm taking, dirt caked under the fingernails, not just dirty from cooking. We ordered the General Tso's chicken, egg rolls and cream cheese wontons. The portions were way smaller than Shanghai but that wasn't a huge deal. But the chicken...it was legitimately like cardboard. I ate a few pieces and my jaws are literally hurting from trying to chew it so I gave up. It was by far the worst Chinese fried chicken I've had anywhere, ever in my life. The egg rolls were also a lot smaller and had a different wrapper than Shanghai but they were pretty good overall. The cream cheese wontons were good as well. But man...that chicken...just don't go here if you have another option. read more

I called in an order for dinner a few days ago. The food was served in skimpy portions when compared to all other Chinese food locations around Wilkes. The pork fried rice had very little pork and no vegetables. The cheese fried won tons barely had any cheese, and the sesame chicken combination plate had only 2 small sprigs of broccoli and very small amount of sesame chicken. Ala in all it was disgusting and even the dogs of my neighbor who get in the trash every week did not want any part of the food when the owners gave me permission to offer it to them. 0 stars if I could give 0 stars. read more

I like this place, it's close to my work so it's great for a quick meal. Their meals are the typical Chinese restaurant. The sesame chicken is good, and there's a lot of it. The beef and broccoli, however is incredibly sparse with the beef. I eat here for lunch, and will never get the beef and broccoli again. read more

As a quick walk in and out Chinese restaurant, I like this place. They are packed at lunch for their specials. 15-20 combos to choose from for $4.95!!!!!! That comes with your entree, fried or white rice, and a drink. A local family (husband, wife, and two small children) runs the business, and they are very kind. I think the food is delicious, and they also support the local Wilkes County Schools. They are closed on Tuesdays for "family day" the sign in the window says. As a fast food restaurant, I'd give it five stars. MUCH BETTER food and selection for cheaper than the local Burger King, McDonald's, or even Subway. I saw another review recommending the place near Walmart on 421. My experience with them is NOOOOOOOOOOO! All you get wilted lettuce, and the vegetables tasted "old". Now, to be fair- I haven't been there in over five years because the food was so crappy, and they also had a "B" food rating from the health department. This place is clean, the food is GOOD, and the family that owns it are wonderful kind people that support our community. Give it a try! read more
