I was surprised to find out how delicious the food was at this hidden gem! If you don't know it's there, this place could be missed. I'm also from California visiting and thought I would only have the option of Subway and Pizza Hut but this Chinese food was So So So good and it's tough to find quality Chinese food back home. I know of 3 very good Chinese places within Los Angeles and Orange County so I was pleasantly surprised with Yummy Yummy in Lyons, KS. If they don't have something you may want, the service is so great that they will make a dish to your specifications. What other restaurant is willing to go above and beyond like that? I wish they would make it a bit more "inviting" to sit down and dine in. I hope they will continue and expand. For now, I will gladly stop in for my take-out.

Flavor was missing on everything. The frozen dessert contained zero dairy. There was one beef dish and I used the term beef loosely. Not even the Coca-Cola was good. I had very low expectations going in, I really didn't think it could get worse than it was. Our server was nice, but never refilled our drinks or checked on us once. We arrived at 11:30 on a Sunday, several of the entrees were empty and when I asked when they would be replenished, the server told me she wasn't sure if they would... Very odd considering they don't close until 8 PM and the lunch rush had barely started. When I went to pay the ticket, the cashier asked me how everything was. I said not great and she said OK. Your total is $42. $42 for two adults and two sodas.., barely worth two dollars. I did leave a $5 tip but only because I felt bad for the "server."

Let me start by saying - we were super pleasantly surprised to find a Szechuan place in Kansas. Secondly, the spice wasn't too spicy, so it's more manageable. And lastly, for 10 people, we shared 10 dishes, and it came to only $150.... plus tip, we were still less than $20 a person! That's amazing... that's probably only 5 dishes in NJ/NY, at most. Favs: - Stir fried cabbage, a little spicy but solid. - Veggie lo mein was a hit with the kids, didn't even get to try it. - Egg fried rice was solid, good flavor, enough soy - Hot & spicy fish fillet in chili oil was excellent, not too spicy - Beef in hot sour broth - probably my favorite with the sour pickled veggies - Braised eggplant w/ garlic & chili was solid Just ok: - Braised pork was fatty, and the sauce wasn't as savory as I wanted - Sizzling beef - a little too long on the sizzling plate made it hard by the time I tried it, so probably need to revisit when the dish first comes out and the kids don't delay it - Spicy pig's blood w/ tripe & veggies was ok; I've had better versions but this included a good mix of the offal and veggies. - Potato w/ vinegar flavor - I get the feeling they probably didn't hear that we wanted the one that was spicy; this lacked that peppery ma-la kick. They ran out of the sauteed water spinach, but that's ok... we were full up! Definitely a delicious surprise and good spot to grab food. That being said, service was very slow, so make sure you're aware of that before you go in at a busy time... temper your expectations on speed of service.

The service was a bit slow and looked like they could use more help in the restaurant with host up front and serving. I was expecting the fried rice and chow fun to have two different flavors, but it was very similar flavoring. Felt like I was eating the same thing, just different textures. Fried chicken wings was okay, a bit more batter than what I'm used to. The ambiance on the inside was a nice sit down style.
