The rice noodles were cooked just the way I like them, and the shrimp and other meats were served in generous portions. My only complaint was the chicken wings. I should've asked if they came with any seasoning or dips--while they were fried well, they lacked flavor. Overall, I'll definitely be coming back.

I checked this place out and saw that it has a Chinese menu (Cantonese) and I called ahead and asked if they'd be able to make Fish Filet in black bean sauce. The lady who answered was so kind and informed me that they could accommodate me and make that dish! I came in the next day, and it would have been a place I would have drove past because it's so close to the freeway. I would have lost out. The inside was clean, with traditional artwork on the walls. The waitress was friendly and attentive. The dish I specifically wanted was soooo tasty! The right amount of spicy, great protein to vegetable ratio... AMAZING. I also ordered the salt and pepper squid, crispy duck and garlic broccoli. This checked all the marks! So tasty, clean and the friendly service kind of blew my mind. I'll make my way here next time I'm anywhere in Kansas!!

Kobe's used to be the place to go. It has gone downhill over the years…read more I visited Kobe's on 10/3/25. We were there from 3:30p-3:40p. It felt like a very rushed experience. You used to be able to sit just a bit an enjoy your food. Not anymore. It's understandable that you need to get customers in and out in a reasonable time. However, even 30 extra minutes would be good. Just as soon as all the meats were done and put on our plates, the waiter came and told us we'd have a little bit of time to eat, and he'd be bring out the sorbet. The taste of the food itself is not the same either. It was okay but not anything to rave about or drive to the west side of town for. Also, there is no attention to cross contamination. The same utensils are used for seafood, poultry, and the meat. Our chef decided to keep the cooked shrimp pieces for the shrimp toss off to the side and they sat until all the other food was done. A piece of shrimp had fell on a piece of paper and he put it back on the grill before throwing it someone. Not the most sanitary there. Our chef and waiter were friendly. Overall, this would be a great 6/10 experience.
