Spring rolls are the ultimate way to determine if a takeaway store is worth returning to, so naturally I had to get one at Tony's. And I admit, I was a little disappointed. Much to my surprise, the spring roll tasted like cinnamon. I couldn't really figure it out. It wasn't terrible as such, just unexpected.... That being said, the fried rice was brilliant. It wasn't oily and didn't make you feel guilty for eating most of the container - which I did. The portions were good and prices were what you'd expect - about $10 for fried rice. Tony's chips were also pretty good - crisp and crunchy; just the way I like them, and with a good amount of salt too. There's nothing worse than not enough salt on your hot chips, so while their spring rolls were a bit strange, you can rely on Tony's to supply good fried rice, sausages and chips. Bonus: Tony himself is pretty cool. He was very smiley and chatty and made the wait for the food fly by

The tables are dirty with crumbs all over the place and everything just looks and feels dirty in general. They've also got my simple order wrong quite a few times before, which is ok but I was only ordering one thing so it's not hard to mess that up. I haven't been back since I've noticed how dirty it actually is.. so overall I recommend that you do not come here.

The same two people are always working whenever I come in, and they are super friendly and will bring you your food in the car if you accidently wait in there for too long. The place isn't the cleanest looking, but by no means dirty. The food is always hot and exactly how I order it. One of my favourite Thai places in Auckland and definitely the best out west.
