All of the wonderful foods that are produced. But the products and spices necessary to produce these unique dishes are not found in your typical Western-based grocery store. And often times, these products must follow strict religious sanitary rules. There must be a grocer that can carry these sundries to make your dish what you remember from home. In comes the International Food Bazzar! Located on the northern Kent border in the industrial park area, this deceptively large grocery holds products from the Middle East, India, Pakistan, and a few others representing South Asia. The store is Halaal certified, and for those looking for that regional specific product from that region, it is most likely here. Going in, I was not prepared for excitement that I felt walking when I walked in to find the spices and curries I was looking for but could easily not find in a western North America based grocery store. Even the frozen food section was a treat: frozen Naan bread, frozen Saag Paneer to take for lunch, and brands of 25 pound bags of basmahti rice. Let's not forget the busy butchery section preparing several Halal cuts for the long line of customers, all awaiting their turn to put their personal request in. It's a great relationship that is forged. As someone who wants to eat as authentically as possible without the America-substituted analogs, I have found joy in this place that can make my dishes shine the way they were intended. Visit the International Food Bazaar for your next shopping trip!

Shopping in Burien, Washington…read more.. This location of Trader Joe's was relatively close to my high school classmate's home, so I stopped by quickly to take a look beforeIhad to meet up with her. I was so happy to see that the peach-colored AND turquoise-colored mini insulated coolers were available (at the entrance)! They're really handy as my niece has been using them to bring her leftover dinner to work for lunch the next day! She said that these mini coolers are a good size! I got some for her father, sister, and mother! Inside, this Trader Joe's was clean, spacious, organized, and well-lit. I got some snacks, greeting cards, and some yellow nectarines! I started looking for the store mascot and asked the cashier if these plushies were the ones. I showed her a photo on my phone, spotted the correct mascot, and took a photo when a female worker approached me and told me that "no photos were allowed in the store". I thought that she was joking until I looked at her facial expression. She was serious. Shucks. Oh, well... it's over. We got our prize (a lollipop) and took a photo outside of the store. We still went back the next day for more snacks and greeting cards because I had a bit more space in my luggage... LOL!

Parking was super easy, and even on a Saturday afternoon the line moved pretty quickly. The store is huge and packed with everything you could possibly need for Asian cooking--hot bean sauces, spices, noodles, snacks, ready‑made BBQ meats, hot entrées, fresh seafood, crab, a bakery, and even cookware like woks and steamers. They'll even clean and fry your fish for free, which is such a nice touch. I picked up some gai lan, bok choy, tofu, chives, bean sprouts, and Asian apples, and I grabbed a few items from their hot food bar to go. The whole Great Wall Mall area has a fun mix of spots too--Chinese restaurants, a pho place, a bakery, bubble tea shop, barber shop, and a cute little gift boutique. It's a great one‑stop destination if you're in the area.

It's ok not there to talk to the staff here to look at the cool interesting food they have. If you come here, take your time and look around you might need to visit a few times to know where things are but once you don't have to ask for anything from any of the staff members you'll be alright. They have a huge parking lot and are also attached to a few deli, coffee, food counters which is nice. Deals can be great from time to time. Unfortunately - 3 out of the 4 types of fruit that we got were all overripe and had gone bad (but everything is packaged in plastic so you cant even tell or open to look at the whole fruit). The milk apple, the baby green mangoes, and the mamey fruit. They were tried the same day - which means they were already really bad when picked off the shelf. Was so excited to eat these exotic fruits and sorely let down because they tasted so off they had to go straight in the bin. This has happened more than once shopping here. Firstly, there needs to be more quality control if we were to shop their produce again... And *please, stop* with the excessive plastic use wrapping everything in saran wrap and foam trays that is not only horrible for the environment but traps/infuses toxins and microplastics in our fruits and veggies. There is so much potential here, but I'm not going to throw money down the drain by continually buying bad produce.

LAM'S SEAFOOD ASIAN MARKET @ TUKWILA…read more Parking is available for free, and they do have their own private lot, so you'll be able to find spots. It does get crowded, especially on weekends so it can be a little difficult, but you'll eventually find parking. I came today during Thanksgiving and they were open, which was really nice. I love how big this market is. They have everything from fresh produce to frozen aisles, canned goods, and even fresh seafood. They even have live fish and crabs, pretty much anything you can imagine. The service here is helpful too. There are a lot of workers around and they're always willing to point you in the right direction. They only do assisted self-checkout, so you can't scan everything on your own, but there are plenty of lanes open. The ambiance is a little on the dirtier side though. A lot of the produce didn't look super clean, and some items felt like they were placed everywhere. The bananas I saw were a bit brown and rotten, and I feel like they could've tidied that up. Their prices are on the cheaper side, which is great, but that doesn't always mean the quality is the best. We bought some packaged bok choy today, and when we opened it, half of it was mouldy and even had little bugs. The price is low, but you're not always getting the best quality. Overall, the market is still great for other items like canned goods, we love getting their canned fruit for sweet treats. It was still a good experience, and I'd recommend stopping by if you're in the area or need something quick.
