It'll be about 15 minutes. Me: There's a Chinese food place that delivers in town? Yes, actually, there is. It's Ivy's. And it's been here for YEARS! Seriously, it's two blocks away from where I grew up. As soon as I walked in the door with my stepdad to pick up our take-out order, it all came rushing back. The mere fact that it's hung around - same location, same owners - for so long is its own testament. It's not a spot I'd be making an extra visit for, but if you're in small town Alberta (aka Millet) and you don't feel like driving all the way to Wetaskiwin or Leduc for the next closest Western Chinese food restaurant, then Ivy's will do you just fine! The menu is full of appys, soups, chicken, beef and shrimp dishes, chow mein/noodles, chop suey, egg foo young and your usual rice dishes. You'll also find a handful of "Western food" like a cheeseburger, fish & chips, steak sandwich, etc. We came home with Wor Wonton soup and two ginger beef combos. They came with rice, ginger beef and beef with mixed vegetables. I'm used to ginger beef being a little more meaty, but again, for the convenience of walking down the street for it, it was a-ok! And as is usual of Western Chinese food, quantities of food in each combo more than enough. Thanks for filling my belly Ivy!

We ordered take out Ginger beef Beef and greens Deep fired wontons Steamed rice Shrimp in black bean sauce Onion cakes Everything was really good (except the onion cakes meh) While I was there picking up our order I took in the decor that reminded me of a movie set of a Chinese restaurant in the middle of nowhere in Saskatchewan. Cheesy decorations made of paper, old tables and chairs and pictures on the wall of some ladies club in Millet all added to the charm. I am not saying this sarcastic at all... I LIKED IT! Alot of people came in picking up and then a family of at least a dozen showed up. I could tell they all knew the owner by the New Years hugs they exchanged. O ya this is a food review... all of the chow was good. Not the best I've ever had but far from the worse. I gave them some a good mark not just because of the food but the way they interacted with all the patrons old or new. I definitely will go again
