I ordered the Orange Chicken. Technically a remarkable dish. The chicken was cooked well, perfect amount of orange peel and the quantity on the combo was excellent for the price. The pork fried rice that came with the combo might be the best side order I've had at any chinese restaurant. My only complaint was that I ordered it extra-spicy and thankfully I picked up 4 packets of hot sauce. If they had gotten the heat right, it would have been 5 stars! read more

We were heading back to Atlanta by traveling through West Virginia and had stopped overnight. Found this Chinese Takeout place called China Kitchen on Maps. Online reviews didn't help so gave them a try. So glad we did. Food was cooked to order hot and fresh and seasoned just right not too salty says my wife. Legit Fire and Wok cooking with passion to serve up our Chinese food fix. Shrimp and Vegetables Cooked perfectly. Fried Chicken Wings were so crispy, hot and delicious. My husband and i order from here when we want Chinese I think it's currently just take out but it's pretty close to me so it's easy to get and they're pretty fast with the order I always get chow mei fun with pork, egg roll and wonton soup. I don't think I've ever had a bad experience with them. read more

Definitely the best (Americanized) Chinese food in the area. My family gets carry out orders all the time. Not much to look at but the food is solid, and the staff has always been courteous. I could eat the chicken teriyaki sticks everyday, and the lo mein is pretty baller as well. read more

I've definitely had better chinese food around the area. Sesame Chicken was mushy and oversauced. White rice was just white rice, nothing special. Cream cheese wontons were decent. i've had much better though. I probably won't come back to this location simply because there's other chinese places that are better. Nothing beats Peking in Harrisville though. read more

We moved to Parkersburg in August 2018. We moved from San Diego CA where we had a huge amount of variety to choose from. We tried a couple of other Asian eateries and one was ok, one was not and the other was good but expensive. We tried China Kitchen with a bit of trepidation after the last bad spot. This was wonderful!! While some things were a bit sweeter than I'd like, adding some more heat would help that. We ate in the shop. Only 3 tables and they were busy with take out orders. We may do that next time but have to remember it's cash only. Their dumplings were great. The shrimp or chicken lo mein was a real hit with the kids. We will definitely be back!! read more

Ok. I wanted to like it...but every time I've ordered the sauces have had a weird taste. The rice tasted mildewed? Egg rolls were ok...but ALL cabbage, no pork in them at all. Ordered black pepper chicken, it was so full of onions, and very little chicken. The place needs a thorough scrub down with bleach water!! Tables are sticky, the paper napkin holder had tons of greasy finger prints all over it. Sweet & sour chicken was ok, but sauce? Umm, different & NOT in a good way!! Cream cheese wontons, also had a weird taste and were runny... ugh!! We had combo meals & found long black hair in fried rice. Don't look around at the windows & door YOU WILL BE GROSSED OUT. NO. No. No. Will NOT be back. Curious as to how they pass health inspection??? I wish I spoke Cantonese so I could tell them how nasty dirty this place is...and that they need to sit down & clean. Parking is a nightmare!! Save yourself & just DON'T!! As for me...I'm gonna call the Health department tomorrow & go vomit. read more

I ordered the vegetarian lo mein, sesame chicken and hot & sour soup for take-away. The noodles were dry and pretty close to inedible. Soup was extremely thick to an almost gel-like consistency and lacked any sort of spice. Didn't try the chicken, being vegetarian, but it was the best looking thing. After eating the chicken, my father had horrible indigestion! I would never order from here again, even if in a bind. You're better off with whatever leftovers in the fridge. read more

Just had the General Tsoa's chicken, I can't eat it spicy hot, so I had them make it for me "not spicy"...it was fantastic and the service was friendly and great! I found a new favorite place! The best thing is because it isn't a buffet style place, they make your order FRESH when you order it. I used to love this place but the last two times that I have gotten take out it has been awful. Tonight the General TSO Chicken and Fried Rice tasted metallic and way too sweet.
