My family recently visited Mr. Chen's for the first time, but definitely not the last. This is our…read morenew #1 Asian restaurant. Why: 1) Food quality is outstanding, and above any other we've had. Out of everything we ordered (four separate meals), the Hungarian beef was our collective favorite. 2) Portion size vs cost. We couldn't believe the amount of food for the price. 3) The service was outstanding. If you are looking for a 'date night' atmosphere, this is probably not the place. It is inside a grocery store that you walk through to get in. We actually liked that factor and found it 'authenticating'. Finally, one thing we witnessed that we will return to participate in is the Karaoke rooms (3). We saw a large group of all ages eating and singing. How fun?!?!

I came to pick up a call-in order for their honey wings, which came highly recommended. I got to try one, and wow--they were amazing! I'll definitely be coming back to get my own order. The wings were huge, and the honey sauce had the perfect balance of sweetness. Heads up this is a cash only establishment so prepare yourself before you make the trip.

With large orders they usually throw in a quart of sweet tea (and it is both strong & sweet - yum!). They offer a vast menu. We've had the potstickers, crab rangoons shrimp eggroll, veggie eggroll, General Tso's chicken, shrimp with broccoli, shrimp with lobster sauce, shrimp fried rice, pork fried rice, and honey lemon pepper wings. E-VER-Y-THING was delicious! They will add extra onion or use no onion in the fried rice upon request, and the portions are generous enough to share or have leftovers. It is completely a takeout joint - no seating for eating, just a few chairs for waiting. Speaking of waiting, the wait time is what you'd expect for made-to-order. As others have stated, it is CASH ONLY, so come prepared. There is a Trustmark ATM right next door, but if you don't bank with them then of course there's a hefty fee. If you place a phone order, you'll know your total ahead of time, but I've still had to wait until I arrived and paid for the order for them to start cooking it. That ensures the hot freshess, so I don't mind. The neighborhood could be better, but you'll be in and out for the most part & trust me - the food is worth it! The staff is friendly and efficient. That place runs like a well-oiled machine. Whenever I want great Chinese takeout, always opt for CHOPSTICK! I'm glad I don't live closer or I would likely eat there many times a week if not everyday!

During my visits, she has come across as unfriendly and dismissive, including rolling her eyes and displaying an unpleasant attitude. What concerned me most was the noticeable difference in how I was treated compared with another customer. I observed her warmly greet a Caucasian customer and thank them for their business, while I did not receive the same courtesy as an African American customer. This difference in treatment made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Everyone who enters a restaurant should be treated with the same level of courtesy and respect. I hope management will address this concern and encourage more consistent, professional, and welcoming customer service for all customers.
