Extra star for the Shrimp Fried Rice I had today. I thought the best I'd had was from Sushiman last week (review to come) but this one drew major comparisons. I hate to order this dish and get barely there shrimp or small and dry shrimp but worse yet, shrimp that aren't deveined. China King delivers just what I want. Perfectly fried rice with clean, plumb shrimp and lots of them. You could damn near finish the meal with a shrimp in every forkful of rice. I also appreciated that the onions did not overrun the dish. I have a weird relationship with eating onions and these were big enough for me to pick out. I ordered Hot and Sour soup, Wonton Soup, Shrimp Toast, Fried dumplings, and General Tso's chicken combination platter. -The General Tso's chicken was delicious, perfectly fried chicken, and was a lot of chicken for $8. -The Wonton and Hot and Sour soup were great, there Hot and Soup is always good. -The shrimp toast was OK. It could have been more shrimp filling. -Both the egg roll and shrimp tasted good. -Finally, the fried dumplings were flavorful, and you get a huge portion for $6. Overall, the food is priced and a good value, and the portion sizes are large. ***Overall, I Highly recommend this place. read more

General tso's is the best thing on their menu that they make but they also have the best egg rolls and chicken lomein. I do reccomend stopping here to eat lunch or dinner you wont be disappointed. Just went here for a quick lunch break and the prices are quite reasonable for their portions. I've gotten a large egg drop soup and shrimp in chili sauce. Now the egg drop soup had wayyyy too much corn starch and had a jello like surface which it scared me into not drinking it however, it isn't runny and has a good amount of eggs in it. My mistake was getting shrimp in chili sauce. Oh my lord, it did not come out as what I had hoped it would be. It looks like a bunch of minced onions and baby shrimp had been thrown in a ketchup like sauce and drowned in it. This is strictly for the food quality and pricing. Chinese take out is a funny thing, it's almost territorial. You go to the take out closest to you and that's it, good or bad, it's your home base. This is probably why it took me so long to finally try this place out. I used to drive my niece to Northeast high school and pass by China King all the times but never stopped by. Tonight I happen to be waiting on a group of friends near China King. I was really hungry and I had 30 minutes to waste so I decided to eat here. Oh man! What a great decision. First of all, let's be clear that we are only reviewing the food. While I was waiting for my food, I overheard how they were taking orders on the phone and "phew!" Haha. Anyways, I had chicken broccoli and hot and sour soup. The tab came out to be like 8 bucks. 6 for the entree and 2 for the soup. The broccoli were super fresh. It tasted like it went straight from the garden to the wok! The chicken was tender, not dry or tasted like frost bite from old storage. The rice was spanking hot and the portion was huge! It's easily the largest small size I've gotten from a take out. The soup was also food and big enough for two people. I couldn't even finish and had to take the rest home. The freshest take out place I've been to in the Northeast. Don't expect great service (it's a takeout) and you will not be disappointed in any way. read more

They are by far the rudest people I've met since living in Philadelphia. Phone is broke so you have to yell to make your order. The lady told me they're no longer taking cards so she need cash. I said politely that I do not have cash she spoke in her native language then hung up the phone. I figured my phone hung up so I called back and she yelled what you want no cash no food. My Shrimp with Broccoli today was more like Broccoli with a couple of shrimp. The duck also way more vegetables than meat. When you call to order it doesn't matter who answers, they are rude, talk over you, and leave you with the impression that they can't be bothered. So I ordered beef egg foo young, chicken fried rice, and orange chicken. The beef egg foo young was very yummy, but the gravy was DISGUSTING. It was soooo gross. I have never in my entire life had egg foo young gravy that tasted sooooo bad. The chicken fried rice... First of all.. They did not season the chicken at all. AT ALL . I was just a slice of chicken boiled in water and placed in the rice. What in tarnation... Who told y'all to boil bland chicken and sell it to people? Lastly , the orange chicken was amazing. It was very very good. It somewhat made up for the horrible gravy and bland chicken rice. I received two free serving of white rice with my order, and the sticky white rice was very yummy as well. I've been ordering from this place for about 7 years. I have to say, I'm pretty boring when it comes to my orders, usually sticking with the same stuff (dumplings, sweet and sour chicken, etc.), but generally everything I've gotten here has been good. The steamed dumplings are hit or miss, depending on who's cooking that day. Orders are always correct, no complaints on the customer service. I'm moving and will still probably drive the extra 8-10 minutes since it is so hard to find a good Chinese takeout place. read more

I usually get the chicken wings or general Taos chicken both are top notch for the price I nave never had a problem with the service except for one time they didn't give be enough soy sauce but besides that there always my go to. read more
