I was at a buddy's place in Bloomfield Township and craving some Chinese food, so I jumped on Google Maps and found China Jade. The reviews looked great, and one of them mentioned that while the outside doesn't look like much, the inside is a totally different story. That turned out to be 100% true--this place is really nice inside and looks recently remodeled. They even have a bar area with a TV and another TV visible from the dining area, which gave it a cool vibe. When we walked in, a lady at the bar welcomed us and told us to sit wherever we liked. Our server (I think her name was Soon-Yi, apologies if I got it wrong) was wonderful--super friendly, attentive, and kept our drinks filled the entire time. Service was quick and spot on. I ordered the #9 sweet and sour chicken, which came with wonton soup, an egg roll, and fried rice. The wonton soup came out first and was delicious, followed by a crispy, flavorful egg roll. Then the entrée arrived--huge portions and really great-tasting food. Everything was fresh, hot, and full of flavor. All around, this place is amazing. Great food, big portions, excellent service, and a nice atmosphere. I'll definitely be coming back to China Jade. Highly recommend if you're in the area and craving Chinese!

This is a place where my child went a couple times with a friend and the friend's family and really enjoyed it, so we all decided to try it together. Three out of four enjoy the experience. It looks like the restaurant was refreshed with decorative updates in a semi-modern sense. There was plenty of seating and a bar plus a very busy carry-out business in the front. They had a steady stream of people picking up food. We were greeted and told to sit where we wish and even encouraged to move since they told us they would give us a lot of food. We stayed in our spot near the gas fireplace. The people working here were extremely friendly and seemed to go out of their way to accommodate us and make our experience a good one. We started with soup and wanton chips with orange sauce. I got the hot and sour soup with a wanton, others got the wanton soup. I enjoyed mine and the chips. We also were served an egg roll. I enjoyed it, it was nice a crispy. The orange sauce is nice, and their mustard had quite the spicy that traveled through my nose. I ordered the sesame chicken and fried rice. I quite enjoyed it. It reminded me of the Kung Pao chicken I would get at Pei Wei, which I miss terribly. It had a nice crispiness and good sauce. I did have plenty of food and it tasted great the next day as well. One kid got their favorite dish here, the sweet and sour chicken, and one got the BBQ spare ribs. Both were tasty. The sweet and sour chicken is very crispy and crunchy. The ribs were nice, had that classic five spice flavor and the red sauce. Unfortunately, my husband was not impressed or pleased with his order. He got the teriyaki chicken. It was very bland and rubbery in some sort of gloopy brown sauce with a lot of bean sprouts. It was a total miss and he would not order this dish again. I do not blame him, the quality and flavor of that dish did not match the other three dishes. Overall we enjoyed our time here and I would consider coming back and ordering the same dish. I would also like to try their noodles to see how they taste and perhaps some of the appetizers. The shrimp toast is a throw back to my childhood and I would like to see how their version compares.

We did DoorDash from here today, we wanted Thai food but there wasn't a large selection of places open for lunch, so we decided to try China Jade instead. I ordered the cashew chicken lunch special, which comes with an egg roll, and my fiance ordered the Mongolian chicken. He asked for medium spice and it didn't seem like it had much spice at all, so he was disappointed. My cashew chicken was pretty good - there was a lot of chicken and some mushrooms too although I wish there were more. The lunch special comes with an egg roll, which was also tasty, and your choice of rice - no upcharge for fried rice. We ordered the fried wontons with pork and I was expecting more of a dumpling but instead it was more fried than I expected. Otherwise everything else was 3.5/5 from me. I'd order from here again but might try something else on the menu.

Truly the best Chinese food in the area!! We've been coming here for years and always look forward to it. Affordable prices, huge portions, friendly staff, and the food is consistently delicious. We're moving, but will go out of our way to support them!

AMAZING! I DoorDashed my meal and was impressed. Egg rolls are outstanding, very generous portions, great fried rice and I was thrilled with the orange chicken. Also very reasonable priced. When craving Chinese food, this is my new go to spot 100%!

Some of the best Chinese food I've had outside of LA/Asia. Recently moved to clarkston and there's not a lot of Asian spots there, so you pretty much have to drive to Waterford or Pontiac for some Chinese or Indian food, looked this up, gave it a shot today and was not disappointed at all. My mom got the house fried rice, I got the 4 seasons with a shrimp fried rice(spicy) I'm not gonna lie, the four seasons didn't hit like that for me. It's not bad, but in terms of my taste preferences I'd definitely go with some Szechuan food next time. I think the Cantonese options may be a bit bland. But my fried rice more than made up for it. The flavour absolutely explodes in your mouth. The spices and saffron complimented each other so well and there's plenty of shrimp in the rice which is a nice surprise. Most Chinese places will cheat you on the shrimp, but not here. Chicken egg roll was great as well. Service was pretty good, server got a little snappy at the end when she wanted us to pay so she can leave, but other than that it was chill. Restaurant is very modern and clean, love the contrast of the wood floors and gray walls. Really feels sleek a

Bar none. Sadly this place did not measure up. Let's us start with the order. I did not order the combo, yet they gave me the combo. I did not want the plain fried rice and the egg roll. FYI, if you get the combo, you get less food. I had the "Pepper Steak" and the "Szechuan Chicken". Those are Chinese restaurants claim to fame dishes. If those two dishes are not good then the rest is history. The pepper steak was good. Tasted like buffet style. The Szechuan Chicken was off. Looks like they lost the recipe for the sauce. Lastly was the egg roll. No. Just bad. The vegetables tasted overdue. Too much bean sprout. Bean sprout goes bad. Plus, the dipping sauce is too small to fit an egg roll. Sad. My mother and wife could make better egg rolls. I see a lot of customers. It's sad they don't know what good Chinese food is. Hit up "China 1" in hazel park, MI for excellent Real Chinese food. Also try "Dragon Palace" in Vassar, MI for great Real Chinese food. Recommended

BUUT why are you closed every time I'm craving Chinese? I get it. Everyone deserves time off. You're a small family business. Work-life balance, as they say! But I want my (huge, perfectly crisp, bursting with deliciousness) egg rolls dammit! I've even got my parents who live in Arizona hooked on you like a drug. Only to be disappointed whenever they are in town-sure enough you are closed! It's becoming a running joke in my family. I'll call and get a busy signal on your single phone line as many times as it takes (11, to be exact tonight). Today, I hit rock bottom and ended up getting the most awful/greasy/disappointing almond boneless chicken and salty weird wonton soup from another establishment, like an addict who needs her fix). Never again. I understand that good things come to those who wait... I'll keep waiting for you, Szechuan Gourmet. Please be gentle with my heart. And my tastebuds. And my GI tract.

The guy "tag-teamed" his wife to come out of the kitchen and bicker with me, right in front of multiple other customers, when I "dared" to speak up about their tone and attitude, then repeatedly pointed to a sign on the wall that said "we match your energy" (AKA: "we reserve the right to be total a****les for any and all perceived slights, real or imagined") when I had the "audacity" to complain about how they spoke to me and my dad on the phone and in-person. They were furious that my elderly dad was "taking too long" to place his order for four people (he was not, at all) and acting like it's somehow our fault that they only have a single phone line. Give me a break (take-out only establishment, by the way). They then proceeded to promptly cancel my dad's order and shoo me out, all the while cussing at me in Mandarin, at which point I walked out of there (for the last time). You would do well to AVOID this place at all costs, trust. Not to mention, I've had their food more than a few times before, and it is not even NEARLY good enough to justify them being this nasty towards their patrons. Their offerings are the very definition of "sodium-infused slop" and "mediocre at best" and they act like we are lucky to be allowed to purchase them. What a joke! Do yourself a HUGE favor (like I did) and pay a little extra for a place with WAY better people and service, and MILES better quality food, places such as Shangri-La (amazing!), for example. Never, ever again. You have been warned!

Pepper steak tasted correct. Spot on. Szechuan was clearly off. Did not taste correct. The sauce was more like sweet and sour. Clearly the wrong sauce. I really had high hopes. Another disappointed.
