Crispy chicken and Wan-za, a spicy seafood dish.

I'm updating this review because I got to eat China Inn for the first time in years. I read that they changed owners and also changed their menu, with disappointing results. I also read (and heard) that they went BACK to their old menu. When I went this past weekend, they had the same old menu. If you eat China Inn, I HIGHLY urge you to try the Crispy chicken dish instead of your normal American Chinese dishes. It's one of my favorites in Nebraska. China Inn is still a great restaurant and I will try to hype this place as much as I can.

Authentic and delicious Chinese food! The green beans are incredible and they have plenty of vegetarian options, which the owners happily recommended to me. It is clear they care about their customers and their service is excellent. The food is authentic, not your typical Chinese take-out! Definitely a favorite :)

Fun place to visit on a rainy night...provided it's 2001! Why is this place still open? Didn't that dysentery scare in 2003 ruin this place?

The food was not tasty; not a good chinese restaurant. I tried the beef with garlic sauce and it was a disaster.

We had Brussels sprouts and calamari for appetizers. Both dishes were crispy and had great flavor. The sprouts had a sweet balsamic glaze which complimented the earthiness well. The calamari had an airy, crispy breading and a plethora of sauces to choose from for dipping, my favorite being the cocktail sauce which was savory and tangy. For the entree I had a lettuce wrapped cheeseburger and I was really impressed. The beef was juicy and fresh while the condiments were fresh as well. The fries were so good, too! They were crispy, seasoned well and tasted amazing with the ranch. For dessert we had crème brûlée, YUM! The sugar coating was a perfect amount of waxy and sweet, and balanced well with the vanilla custard. The custard was creamy, decadent and super satisfying. The vibe of the restaurant is homey, upscale and warm, great place for a celebration or date night.

Each one is so good. We threw down at this restaurant. The drinks and service is just as good. The team here knows what they are doing. They served us up quick and gave me a very memorable birthday brunch. The only downside is parking, especially if it's a busy weekend! Come early, plan ahead. There's limited free street parking. I strongly recommend making a reservation online. We had one, but still had to wait about 15-20 minutes for a table. The food and experience was worth the wait.

I always get the spinach bread, which is naan-stuffed with paneer and spinach, and is so soft and melt in your mouth delicious. I dream about the naan. Then for my main, I get the lamb bhuna with the soup on the side. I've tried a few other main courses and I honestly think the Lamb bhuna is the most flavorful thing on the menu, and a spiced so well. The mint chutney that they have to dip with the naan is also so good. I could probably drink it. I crave the oven so often. It's definitely a very busy restaurant so I would recommend making a reservation beforehand, otherwise you'll probably be waiting a pretty long time! The patio Haymarket location is super nice when the weather is good.

Everybody at the table loved it. The soup starter wasn't my favorite it didn't have much flavor to it but if you squeeze the lemon in it gets tolerable. Too much soup though. The chicken bunha was probably the best dish forgot to take a photo. Pretty strong onion flavor. The chicken tikka Marsala although good with the right amount of spice was a little different than I was used to. Overall will be back to try again.

I've been looking at that yellow can since 1981 and telling my dad that I'll go there someday -- I still haven't gone but the memories that the yellow can invokes is quite heartwarming. I had the #20 pork belly sandwich. I mean, of course, I had the pork belly sandwich! You may have told your friends and family, and maybe even coworkers, that you had a Vietnamese sandwich but you actually haven't had THE Vietnamese sandwich until you've the pork belly sandwich. This isn't the kind of sandwich you normally get at tourist stalls in Vietnam. The pork belly sandwich is usually made by some auntie who cares enough about your existence to make you that sandwich at home. The sandwich is flavorful and comes with a crapload of pickled daikon and carrots. Cucumbers and Jalapenos are a plus. If anyone tries to sell you a Vietnamese sandwich without cucumbers, get the FUCK OUT OF THERE. I thought the garlic mayo was a bit salty and overpowering, but that's just me. Oh, the fried eggs is a big fucking plus. I had the Vietnamese iced coffee with boba. The coffee is very good, and I like that they didn't try to cut the condensed milk with heavy cream etc. Service was quick and very professional. I asked a dumb question about raw onions and they took the time to assure me that there won't be any raw onions. That's another thing, if anyone tries to put raw onions in a Vietnamese sandwich, get the FUCK OUT OF THERE!!! There's a really cool outdoor seating area where you can enjoy a quiet meal listening to the sound of cars driving by. I'll definitely be back!
