I love Golden China. They're food is what I grew up on. My favorites are the Mongolian beef, egg…read morerolls and Genaral Tso's chicken. I've noticed some people who are not happy with the buffet selection, although I'm perfectly fine with it for a few reasons. 1. The food has always been much hotter and fresher than any other dedicated buffet. 2. It's so much less expensive. You pay about $5-6 here, where other buffets charge $7.99, plus more on weekeends. That being said, I like them better for the fresh cooked food than the buffet. One meal inside gets you a lot, and can usually be shared between two people. The takeout is also excellent, and very generous portions. I listed some of my favorites above, but here are a few more. * Sesame Shrimp * Kung Pao chicken.

It might be the best hot and sour soup I've had, it tastes like it's their own recipe. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because of the simple ambiance, it has a greasy spoon look to it in terms of furnishings and they use styrofoam plates. But it was very clean and friendly and tasty, so I'll go again!

After four plates of sushi, we had to explain to him why singing the 80s hit "I think Im turning Japanese, I think Im turning Japanese, I really think so" to the Chinese waitress was questionably inappropriate. The buffet area was really clean with the one exception of the seafood salad being errantly stationed next to (and therefore some of it was actually in) the chocolate pudding - some things just don't mix well.

Come to find out it was a lie being peddled because the Health department had shut them down to rodent infestation and scoring less than 60 on their health score. This doesn't surprise me seeing how dirty the eating area, tables, buffet and plates.... pretty much everywhere inside is disgusting. I cannot imagine how filthy the kitchen area must of been. And it would definitely explain how I hadn't been sick for well over a decade and I started eating there recently and shortly after I got the sickest I've ever been. It's quite unfortunate too because I like Chinese buffets but now I'll have to drive to Anniston if I want a good buffet. I'd definitely steer clear of this place, unless you dont mind getting sick, eating old food in unsanitary conditions.

Kati Thai Cuisine in Gadsden is your first and last stop for Authentic Thai in Gadsden!!…read more We were in town visiting our grandson and were craving Real Thai food. This little place is exactly the kind of hidden gem you hope to find--completely unassuming from the outside, a true "hole in the wall," but serving absolutely incredible food with stellar service inside! We started with the Nam Sod, and it instantly took me back to my childhood. It was served the traditional way with crisp cabbage leaves for scooping up every bite of the spicy, flavorful ground pork. Fresh, authentic, and absolutely delicious. I ordered the Tom Yum Goong; which is my scale for measuring a Thai restaurant's authenticity, and it was perfection. The broth had that unmistakable umami flavor with just the right balance of spice, tanginess, and aromatics. The prawns were large, fresh, and cooked perfectly along with the perfect mix of herbs. My husband ordered the Pad Kra Pow with chicken at a FOUR-PEPPER chili heat, and it was exactly what he was hoping for--bold, spicy, perfectly seasoned, and packed with flavor. Our daughter stuck with her okd favorite, Pineapple Fried Rice with chicken and shrimp. She's quite the rice connoisseur, and her enthusiastic thumbs-up said everything that needed to be said! The service made the experience even better. Our sweet blonde server was warm, attentive, and even took the time to share travel tips and local points of interest around the area, making us feel like welcomed guests instead of just customers. Great food, friendly people, generous portions, and authentic flavors--everything you hope for when you're looking for Thai cuisine. We'll absolutely be back again before we leave Gadsden!
