We were watching on YouTube and saw that the bloggers were reviewing the location in Richmond Hill. We assumed that the Vaughan location was the same one. So, that was our fault. But, we decided to stay and didn't feel like traveling all the way to the other one. We were immediately seated after we arrived. The place is pretty big, with a very elegant interior. Tables seating up to 4 people line the leftmost wall, which has framed paintings adorning it. Circular tables for groups of 8 sit in the center of the restaurant and on all of the tables are crisp white tablecloths with beautifully folded green cloth napkins. The specials are also written on a framed green chalkboard on the back wall and the place is illuminated by built-in spotlights. We ordered the following: Braised Tofu with vegetables - Daughter liked it a lot. She said that it tasted like Chinese takeout but in a good way. Basa Fish Chili Bean Sauce- This was ok, but I thought the sauce was the same as the other orders. Spicy eggplant with shrimp- Hubs said that this tasted similar to the braised tofu with vegetables and it was ok. Overall, we felt that these 3 entrees and sauce all tasted the same. It was ok but no big deal. This place is located next to a mall, so there was plenty of parking. Service was quick and friendly. We told our server about daughter's peanut allergy and it was noted on our bill. There were quite a few other tables occupied. I'm glad we got a chance to try this place. Always wanted to try Canadian Chinese food!

The cream sauce had a distinct coconut flavour which was a bit odd but not entirely unpleasant. The beef noodles were great, gigantic portion, steaming hot and plenty of wok hei. We ordered cold lemon tea for our drinks, cold drinks were $1 extra, but it was worthwhile. The tea was made to order and it was perfectly sweet, lemony and not at all bitter. Prices were really affordable which is part of the HK cafe appeal. I think for the two dishes plus the drinks it came out to less than $35 and we both had plenty of leftovers. Value is definitely there. Overall it's a good option for HK cafe food in Aurora. Most of these restaurants are opening in Newmarket so this is a good option closer to home. Personally I feel that there are better choices in Newmarket but for proximity/value/taste I will definitely order from here again. Also as appetizers, one pork egg roll, and one spring roll. The food was all quite good. The egg roll was missing any pork. It all tasted good. Their fried rice is a little different than most places. Usually if you order chicken fried rice, the dish is prepared with the chicken in advance. It looks like here, what they do, is have a general pot of fried rice, and then add either chicken, or mushrooms and broccoli for the veggie fried rice. Those add-ons are not well cooked with the rice, so the rice has a more generic soy flavor. It's not the chicken fried rice I'm used to. I called the restaurant to mention my concerns. He said that maybe my batch of egg roll just happened not to get any pork in it, but usually they mix it in with all of the bean sprouts. He said that the chicken is fried together with the rice. Then they separate it when they're plating it. In any case they did not offer anything, even after I mentioned that I might stop by the restaurant in the next little while. He did say that I should mention it to the manager when I'm there. I'm giving it a 4, because I haven't tried too many dishes from there, and the food was good and filling.

We struggle to find good Chinese Food that delivers around here but we search no longer! What's great about this place is how fresh it tastes. It is decidedly not greasy, even the deep fried, breaded stuff tastes much lighter than other places. The Bangkok Pad Thai, for example, is super citrusy and has a great spice.
