Chinese buffets are my guilty pleasure. I don't know why, but I seem to be drawn to them. This visit to China Dragon was pretty good. At 5:30 pm on a Tuesday, there was only one other table in use which would not be a good sign. But I checked out the buffet and decided to stick it through. By 6:00 pm, there were a few more people here. This was good. More than a dozen hot items on the steam table and they included the usual meat and vegetable and sauce. Some noodles, some rice, some soups. Nothing unusual or overly creative but it was tasty and filling and definitely inexpensive. The woman working the register was also clearing tables and refreshing drinks. More food came out to refill some of the steam table items. The restaurant is clean and the table was cleared immediately after patrons departed. I'd have liked to see more options or even some sushi, but this is the Texas Panhandle not San Francisco. The salt and pepper shakers were dirty. The bathroom was not clean. They used to have a young man who kept the place clean. I'm assuming he no longer works there. Then when we went to check out there was a $3.00 holiday fee. There was no food on the buffet special for a holiday. Need to edit saying that the hot and sour soup was completely different than what they used to make. Some of the food was cold. We used to like this place. Totally disappointed. read more

I had to choose a star to even post. This place is disgusting!! The bathroom was COVERED in roaches. If the bathroom is, you know the kitchen is!!! I did turn them into the city, but of course that does NO good. read more

It's good but it's never fresh food and they always have some kind of bug in the meal with it. It's really gross and they never have sushi they always say they'll get it out to you but never do. read more

Absolutely disgusting there was a slim selection on the buffet staff was really rude the food looked like it was left over from lunch time I came around 6:00 I asked if they could put sushi on the buffet we waited for over 20 minutes and still nothing the rice was super bitter wong tongs were overcooked chicken was old and the dumplings were extremely soggy !!! From the reviews I was expecting something far greater. Even though it's a small establishment I was hoping for a pleasant meal. The food on the bus I seem to have been old and leftover from lunch time. The staff was friendly however a cashier / possible owner was not a very friendly individual will not be returning. read more

Just another Chinese restaurant clone. I've never had bad food or bad service here, but unfortunately, they fall victim to the all too common trap of being like every other small community Chinese restaurant in the world. The service is average, the price is average, the food is average. Nothing overwhelms. It's important to note, though, that nothing underwhelms either. This is a good place to get a bite to eat and not have to worry about getting a tetanus shot after. It's clean, it's bright, and its...adequate. Came in on a Thursday evening and to be honest I didn't expect too much from this type of joint in Pampa, Texas. I of course had the buffet. Pretty damn good. Everything was cooked right, tasted right and above all looked right. I pretty much sampled most of the buffet. I recommend trying everything. Three stars for the food only, zero for service and atmosphere. If I'm in the area I'll stop by again for sure. read more

Good selection on the buffet and they keep it pretty fresh. My personal fav is the peanut butter chicken! Servers are attentive to drinks and clearing plates. Parking is a mess if you drive anything but a compact car. As always watch out for free range children who prefer to grab off the buffet with their filthy hands instead of using tongs, and be forewarned that many of the patrons will make you reconsider letting that gym membership lapse. read more

Hands down best Oriental food in Pampa, IMHO. I can't imagine someone not being able to find something they really like on the buffet. My favs: green beans, butter shrimp, pork on a stick and the spicy jalapeno chicken. Food is great and very affordable. Service is excellent too. Oh, and they have "TO GO" meals for taking home.
