Pug family wanting Chinese take out and regular stop is closed. Hit the ever popular Yelp and found a nearby option. Broke the code on the poor pictures as no real menu available online. Placed our order. Pulled into the most sketchy parking lot thats dimly lit. Mrs Pug and I eased into the building, an old chicken joint of some flavor. Fella working was very nice and building was clean. Order was ready and lots of take out menus available for future reference. Loaded up food and headed back to the kennel. Portions were large and all the ingredients were very fresh. We had pork egg foo young and the gravy was fabulous. The chicken in the sesame chicken was clearly prepared fresh to order and not precooked waiting in a bucket for whatever sauce would be appropriate to turn nuggets into whichever flavor you ordered. The beef and vegetables were cooked to perfection, vegetables were crispy but cooked all the way. And the flavor was on spot. Yesterday I ordered on Uber eats the total with tip was $52.41. My Uber eats driver Kyra ended the Uber eats stating delivered with a picture of the food at the resturaunt. With the help of the employee they charged my card the $52.41 refunded the amount and recharged my card $69.14 the transaction shows 19.09 in adjustments. Based on the reviews I read online, here and elsewhere, I gave China Chef II a shot. It is one of the best takeout Chinese I have run into. The ingredients seemed fresh and well-prepared, the service was good, and it was conveniently located for me. I tried the Beef Lo Mein, and was pleased. The beef was thick and tender, the noodles light and flavorful. I purchased the Sweet and Sour Chicken for the kids (I would have preferred to try the pork for this trial run, but was over-ruled) and it was cooked well enough, the sauce fairly standard fare. The Kung Po Beef was my favorite, again with well prepared beef, fresh ingredients and enough heat to keep me interested. The Shrimp Rolls and Crab Rangoon were both delicious. I did not try my usual Chinese bellwether dish, Hot and Sour soup, but I will on my next visit, which I will plan on soon. read more

Great takeout. Beware of the yellow rice. Make sure you get white or fried. The General Tso is great and so are the egg rolls.

I have yet to find a decent Chinese food place in Mobile. Strike 2. The entire experience started on the wrong foot and never recovered. I called my order in ahead of time and I could not understand the woman answering the phone which I thought was a good sign however she took my phone number and then didn't tell me how long until my food is ready. I called her back and she yelled at me 15 minutes and then hung up immediately. I showed up 20 minutes later and the food still was not done. Then she did not put a fortune cookie in the bag.I went back inside after starting my car up and checking the bag(I had a bad feeling) and asked for a fortune cookie. The woman then answered the phone, never acknowledged me, scrambled under the counter for a fortune cookie and gave me a single fortune cookie after I ordered two entrées and I had another person with me in the restaurant picking up the food so it was obvious that two people were eating and she have me one cookie. This place is a disaster. I ordered General Tso, an American Chinese food staple and these dopes couldn't even put in a chili in the sauce or on top of the dish. Amateurs. I hope this place goes up in a giant grease fire, it would be a nice addition to the neighborhood. read more

China Chef II has good food and they get it out in a timely manner. The customer service is terrible and it doesn't matter if you are going inside the restaurant or making a call in order. The only reason I go there is because my family enjoys the food. read more
