House Special Soup and Mongolian Beef Combination plate with egg roll and fried rice. And I add my very own garlic oil to all my dishes.

Dinner for one please!! Carry out only! Been here numerous of times when it was with previous owner, and I had no complaints. Since the new owner took over after COVID, been here few times still no complaints, and it still remains carry out only! My dinner for one consists of House special soup (combination of meats & veggies) & Mongolian Beef combination plate (only for beef & onion lovers)! These items were seasoned just right for me, not too bland or not too salty! I add my own level of spiciness as you can see in the pic!!! The price is a bit pricey so I gave it a #4 rating for this reason. However, there was a lot of food for the combination plate. I couldn't even eat all and was still good reheated for lunch the next day! This would be my #2 choice of Chinese restaurant in town. My #1 choice is The Great Wall. This is my very 1st review for this restaurant since I'm part of a Yelp Elite Squad! #ThankyouThursday!

Small town Chinese, big time letdown. While cruising through the rural landscape of eastern Iowa, I came across China Cafe. I was curious to check out the menu and it looked surprisingly diverse, so I decided to grab something to eat. General Tso's Tofu was listed as a special. This meal tends to be hit or miss and it was a major strikeout at China Cafe. First off, the tofu was spongy and not really cooked. Bleh. The sauce was not traditional General Tso's, it tasted like sweet and sour sauce. The broccoli was also hard and not fully cooked. It was very underwhelming. It seems like China Cafe tries to do too much with the menu. Maybe a simpler array with more focus on quality and creativity would boost their rating.

Sesame chicken and vegie fried rice dishes were good! Crab lagoons and egg roll good as well.
