Only one person was dining in and one other waiting for an order to go. Resisting an urge to leave, I was soon greeted cordially by the hostess who gave me time to plan my order to go. The order was well packed and didn't leak during the drive, a pleasant surprise. We found the food portions ample and very good tasting even after rewarming. No notion can be offered as to why this restaurant appears poorly attended. The premises are decently clean, the staff friendly and the food very good. How much more can one ask? Hopefully, they'll be able to remain in business for a long time.

They do take debit and credit card, which is a plus. The service is fast and very good. About the only negative is that the soft drinks are bottled however, I believe their main business is takeout so that would explain why their drinks are bottled. Again, everything is made fresh in their kitchen. Oh yeah, my favorite thing on their menu is the hot and sour soup!

They use to bake them with real cheese on the outside and it would have chunks of cheese you could break off the edge of the bagel. It doesn't look or taste like it used to! It appears like they added cheese flavoring because there was hardly anything on the bagel. It was like eating a big plain bagel. I ordered thru the drive-through which only took about 30 seconds to order. Waited at the window for over five minutes to get a bagel that's sitting on a shelf! It's my understanding this supper club has been here for generations, with newer owners who built a fresh building on the site. In our opinion, the venue is spectacular with a great view over the lake, and is designed with something like "stadium seating" so that even tables in the back of the restaurant get a view. There's also a great outdoor area with water access so boaters can dock and walk up to the restaurant. We found the staff to be friendly with efficient service. Unfortunately, the food was just OK. I had their cream of mushroom soup, and was more like hot mushroom water. It had to have been the thinist cream soup I've had in my life. My wife generally loves "supper club" ribs, but found their's lacking in taste. To be fair, our drinks, cheese curd appetizer, and my prime rib were good, but overall food was about average. I'm glad we gave Village a chance, but will try other supper clubs in the area before returning.
