Our waiter was incredibly nice and quick to explain menu items and give recommendations. The food itself was delicious. All of the dishes were great and there was a whole section of the menu dedicated to vegetarian options that were not less delicious than the meaty menu items . Really really good. On top of that, the restaurant was decorated beautifully and gave a very nice dinner vibe. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I recommend checking this place out!

The humble outsides and barely existent parking were quickly overshadowed by the whimsical and colorful insides. With a QR code for a menu, and still lacking enough Spanish language to be fluent, I was happy to find my English was welcomed when navigating my order. Recommendations to enhance a basic margarita with grapefruit, ginger, and tajin followed and I accepted with the surprise of some extra floral petals added in. The craft beer brewing company based off the area Boqueron (but actually brewed in Wisconsin) was offered and both selections- Crash Boat and Caja de Muerto had a creamy butterscotch profile on top of the IPA and lager flavors. To satisfy cravings for a shared vegan snack, an order of corn chips with Pico de gallo, refried beans (vegan they said), and guacamole. They probably can make some creative avocado, rice, Pico and bean burritos and tacos too, but I was on my way before I could try more.

The view is amazing, the food (I had the Birria tacos) perfectly presented and beautifully cooked. The service was excellent and the bartender (who I think looked like Robert Downy Jr) made fantastic cocktails. The whole vibe was incredible and I will be making this a return destination, and you should too.

That being said it is decorated nice and plenty of seating in and outdoors. Being that I live in Texas now I eat at Mexican restaurants quite often. As we were seated the waitress told us "what sets us apart is we have Mexican cooks" so initially we were excited to try. However, when the food came we were so disappointed. Maybe the cooks from Mexico were off that day. Lol Absolutely no flavor. No seasoning. So bland. I ordered the pozole, it was broth that tasted like hot water. Awful and I am a huge fan of Pozole. The hominy was hard and not cooked. The flautas were edible but again the chicken was bland. Children's burrito same. Subpar. My husband ordered the al pastor tacos and those were not al pastor lol Same flavorless meat. The guacamole Was a no go since using avocados from PR make it taste odd. The parcha margarita was made very well. The place was clean and the staff was great. I surely hope the cooks aren't dialing it down for the Puerto Rican palette. Some salt/pepper and seasonings go a long way. Use them.

While we waited, the calm ambience turned to karaoke bar vibes, as two singers dressed as Mexican Mariachis started singing with backing tracks indoors at an incredibly high volume. So much so that, when given the choice of where to sit, we chose to dine outdoors (even though it was hot). We ordered our drinks right away, which were delicious (Mango Margarita - $10 and a Mangonada -$16) and served with complimentary chips and salsa. After that, we put in our order: Tijuanas' Dip, Veggie Enchiladas, and Sopes Tijuana. The server came back with the dip around 15 minutes later and told me that the kitchen had just shared they were out of Sopes. She was frustrated and apologetic so I was quick to choose some Tacos al Pastor instead (thinking they'd be quicker than anything else). The dip was teacup tiny; like, it hilariously small. The taste was good, but not enough to justify the price. We got our meal after 25 minutes or so later and when I tell you that we thought we were in a Punk'd episode, I mean every word. The enchiladas plate was very generous, but it was the side of "mexican rice" that almost made us choke on our margaritas. Same teacup plate, bland, microwaved, clumpy, and tasteless...it had to be a joke. The enchilada filling had nothing that resembled mexican flavors (amarillos, mushrooms, raw peppers) and my taco meat was hard and spicy. I asked the waiter if they had any sauce for the tacos (as they came with no onions, cilantro, or lime) and she offered green sauce. I would come to find out that they charge $2 per sauce you order on the side. I ended up eating the meat by itself, my brother left the rice and half of the enchilada fusion and spent $75 on a meal that I wouldn't serve my enemy. I had very high expectations but this place fell really short. If you don't have another choice but to dine here, just order a Blue Margarita (done without the sour mix) and take advantage of the free chips.
