After a music concert my group was hungry and my best friend suggested this place as it was relatively close to his home. I ordered a Pork belly Quesadilla and a Carne Asada Burrito for my lady and I was insanely surprised. I never seen pork belly offered so I figured I'd give it a try. It wasn't too bad but the carne asada tasted so savory and so different and delicious compared to other places. For the price we paid too I think this place is hard to beat. Definitely a "must-try" place in my opinion.

I also liked that they give you grilled onions and lime on the side. We also tried the quesadillas, which were huge and had a really good serving size. We got a strawberry agua fresca and horchata as well, and both were good. Our group of six spent around $80 altogether, which I thought was pretty reasonable considering the portions and the amount of food we got. The food came out quickly too. After we ordered, I'd say it took 10 minutes or less, so we really didn't have to wait long. My only suggestion would be more seating. There were only about two tables when we went, and if other people are already sitting there, it can feel a little awkward having to share a table with people you don't know. I definitely think there's room for improvement there. Overall, for trying this place completely blind, I was really impressed. The tacos were good, the portions were generous, the food came out fast, and the price felt fair for our group. I'd definitely come back!

And can I say the price point is also remarkable. Given the high cost of eating out these days, La Costa is keeping it's price competitive. Service was fantastic! Very friendly service to take my order. Definitely recommend this if you are in the East San Jose area.

Good place to sit down and talk Tostada mixta $10 (3/5): This ceviche was HUGE. This contains 70% imitation crab, 10% shrimp, 10% octopus, 10% vegeatables, and 2 tostadas. Having this much imitation crab was not my jam, it overpowered the actual fresh seafood. Definitely filling by itself, but I personally would rather order the shrimp and octopus ceviche next time. Burrito $10 (4/5): Not your typical big fat burrito with a bunch of stuff inside. It's a little bit creamy but not saucy. The salsa on the side enhances it. Fish tacos $3.50 (4/5): Solid fish tacos, huge portions as well. 2 of these would be filling for me. Would get these again, the bomb.com Thought the prices were a tad expensive, but getting your money's worth, HUGE portions. Would come back again for the tacos.

My colleagues and I met with a retired colleague here for lunch one Tuesday. Parking wasn't an issue. You order, pay, seat yourself. You need to ask for utensils and I question the water because the cup I happened to pickup was dirty. I opted for a soda instead. All of us ordered burritos (barbacoa, carne asada, lengua). We loved and enjoyed all the hot sauces! Some were flavorful and packed with heat. I ordered the supper lengua burrito. It came with shredded lettuce, so a thing to note if you don't want lettuce in your burrito. The lengua was soft and tender. Everyone enjoyed their meal. We will definitely be coming back. Good food and great company... almost a thing of the past now because everyone is so busy and food has gotten so expensive that going out to eat feels like a chore nowadays.

It was my first time and my hopes were high based off what they told me. No lies were told. The food was bussin. 4 sauces at the table : salsa rojas, verde, habanero and chipotle. All good and different spice levels. Menu: massive. Everything you want from quesadilla, tacos, nachos/fries, burrito, sopes and more. Theres like 10 proteins to choose from: carne asada, pollo, cabesza, shrimp, fish (grilled or fried), birria (goat or beef), al pastor and many more. Nice sports bar vibes with tv and bar for drinks. Because of this, they're super busy. Mario was the gentleman helping me out and he is AWESOME! super polite and helpful. He made my first experience nice. Highly recommend.
