She was very nice and patient with us as we were trying to learn the different techniques to create our model. Cool tip that I learned was to not worry if your clay starts to crack as a little water can help soften your clay and makes it easier to smooth out the cracks! The establishment was also very clean and welcoming, also filled with a lot of miniature models created by the owner. We had two hours booked to complete the project and never felt rushed. I highly recommend coming to Petite Workshop! Be sure to make a reservation on their website at least a couple days in advance as the Petite Workshop was popping nearing the end of our session. Firstly Anita was super friendly and accommodating for the planning session. On the day of the event, most guests arrived 30-45 mins late because of highway closures and Anita was a GEM! She assured me not to worry and there were no "set times" to end. As for the actually art session...Marley the instructor was awesome! Anita also popped in and really helped out to get us moving along since we had dinner reservations. The set up is the best I've seen...each person can paint whatever they want. None of those "everyone paints a boat sailing during sunset" cheesy stuff (unless you're into that). Instead, everyone got to express themselves however they felt comfortable doing. All the guests had SUCH an amazing time and at the end, Anita had the guest of honours painting framed as a surprise. Definitely planning other events there!

The studio is spacious, clean, and large enough for team building events, or kid's birthday parties. They offer various options such as ceramic painting, hand building and potter's wheel. My plus one and I choose to use our hands and make our own bowl and cup. The staff were friendly and gave us a short tutorial and provided us various tips on placement and design. Not only were they friendly, they were patient as I had to make the same cup 3 times and smooth it out. In the end we left pretty late leaving the venue. Thank you Crackpot for not kicking us out!! Some tips before going, clip your nails, especially if you plan to get down and dirty with any clay. Not feeling the clay? no worries, they have plenty of premade ceramics and paint. You don't even need to be extra creative as we watched others around us make lily pads and clay hands. Keep in mind that once you finish your creation you can't take it home, it takes a couple of weeks for them to dry and give it a glaze finish before you can pick it up. Overall this is a relaxing place with friendly staff and a fun environment to try something creative. I would highly recommend giving crackpot a try. JimStar Out!!

But, the instructors did a great job of making him feel like he was doing a great job. He ended up raving about the night where I really thought he would just go to appease me. He wants to return very soon. I like that you can have a glass of wine while painting, it never hurts. The location itself is very nice inside. A little tight if you are lined up at the tables. We scored a 2 seater table off on its own. They served light snacks and cookies included in the event price. I didn't love that people treated it as dinner, so some people got quite a lot and others nothing at all. Though, that is not reflective of Studio Paint Bar, rather how people are... Plenty of parking available and restaurants within walking distance so you can make a nice night of it. Or a nail place next door if you want to spend a nice few hours with the girls. One was covered in the Groupon cost for a smaller/ thinner ring, and then we made a thicker ring for additional $60 each. We learned a lot during the process and Sam was able to pay close attention to all of us working in the workshop. She was there to guide you, help you out, and answer any questions you had. I can't remember the last time I had so much fun working on a hands on project. And I'm super happy with the final products!! I originally booked because of all the great reviews, but I really should have listened to the bad ones. Booking was a mess, I purchased Eventbrite tickets on Friday night for their 6 hour session on Sunday. It's Saturday night now, and I don't get a confirmation email, details, nothing (red flag #1). So I reached out the Kristin myself.. only to be told it was fully booked and booking SHOULD HAVE closed on Friday, but it wasn't so here I am now. I decided to rebook cause I've been wanting to do this, but on a Thursday night (only other night available). My session time was reduced from 6 hours to 4 hours.. My boyfriend and I were super excited to do more intricate designs, which we were informed we couldn't do in a 4 hour session and were told we SHOULD have booked a 6 hour session if we wanted to do such designs.. excuse me? We tried doing that. Thanks. -_- We settled for something more simple and made 2 rings during the workshop. We made the one included and another one since we were there anyways. Extra silver comes at an addition $5/gram (FYI: silver is incredibly cheap, like less than $1 a gram lol). I made an addition size 5 ring (?) I believe and that came out to apparently 4 grams ($20) and my boyfriend's was 6 grams ($30) which I find hard to believe. Our second rings were on the tighter side and my boyfriend brought that to her attention. Her response was: It's supposed to be like that! Both of us experience discomfort wearing our second rings (it leaves imprints if we wear it for the day.) If you do decide to go to their workshops and make additional projects, I'd suggest asking to see the weight of the materials yourself. She gave us a lower quote for the rings at the beginning. We ended up being charged a lot more. I was pretty annoyed during the workshop. Then I saw my total at the end and was really confused. I was charged tax because Eventbrite doesn't charge tax, which is fine, but Eventbrite also charged their own fees which I didn't know and thought it was tax. Then I got charged a "Square fee (5%)" on top of the extra materials AND my tax? The Square fee appears to be her payment processor. Again, on the materials and stuff, fine. But to have that charged on top of the tax??? On paper my bill appeared as: Square fee (5%).... $xxxx HST + Square (18.5%).... $xxxx As per other reviews, her lack of transparency was very shady and unprofessional. Seeing 18.5% as tax had me freaking out! And then another 5% on top of that! I asked her about the fees, but she was really hostile about it so I had to go home and figure this all out on my own. To top it off, the event listing says it is $20 overhead for addition projects, so it should have been $40 total, but she charged me $25 per additional project which comes to $50 total (separate from silver cost). It's all these small "hidden" fees that add up that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I'm really not one to complain or write bad reviews (this is literally my first one), but this one was one hell of an experience. I've never dealt with such a lousy business like this. I feel like I've been scammed. I've tried reaching out to Kristin several times, only to be IGNORED. The fact that she dodged my attempts to contact her suggests that she knows what she's doing and that it's unethical, but like her responses to her negative reviews, she can't own up to her mistakes. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I love supporting local, small businesses, but I can't support The Den. A lot of my friends asked me where I got the rings done and I referred them to The Devil's Workshop. I'd advise whomever reading this to check them out too. They're a lot more professional AND they respond to their emails + calls. Their silver quote for the same sized rings was $14 versus $30 + $40 + an additional overhead project charge of $20? $25? I don't know and I don't think they know either. She keeps changing her response to my Google review so good thing I screenshotted her original answers. She's been changing it everyday. LOL.

I have emailed quite a few times regards to reimbursement over the course of past few months and still No luck. Extremely disappointed with customer service. I was really looking forward to it with my partner but turned out to be a bad experience overall. They have not even mentioned the fact they took the money and not reimbursing for something not offered is not okay. They simply told us to deal directly with Groupon. It is disappointing to hear at such hard times that we all are in together.
