I've had the worst experience I ever had at a bar. An intoxicated patron who had already antagonised our table faked tripping and collided with my wife. I demanded an apology and suggested that he relocated to another table, because this was the second time that he had done something to hit someone at our table. He became belligerent and the bar staff appeared. The bouncers had watched both incidents and were trying to figure out what to do. While discussing the issue, the intoxicated patron started shouting that he was a regular and no one was going to do anything. After commenting that to the bouncer how that quality of clientele does not speak well for the establishment and that my party would be leaving the establishment, he assured me that they would be throwing the intoxicated patron out, immediately. During this time, the other bouncers are standing facing me, as if I was the one that had caused the issues. After we left, my friend realised that he didn't get his credit card from the bar and had to return to collect it. During this time, we waited (the intoxicated patron had been behaving as if he was going to assault my friend earlier in the evening) to make sure that my friend got in and out without issue. The bar staff did not escort the intoxicated patron from the premises. Do not go to this establishment. They will keep potentially violent intoxicants on the premises, even when said intoxicant is attempting to instigate a fight. Chill is not a safe place to drink or socialise! read more

I first came here about three years ago and to be honest i didn't care for the place at all. Things change and so does business. With this change Chill has brought in a fresh new perspective that wasn't like i thought it would be. Service here is good, but i would say on the busy nights they need to schedule more people. One thing that that i've found to be pretty consistent is the waiters seem to take your order and promptly run off. I can't tell you how many times i was going to ask for another beer or napkins etc...and couldn't get a word in because once they were done they would run off. Maybe i should just learn to speak up faster, but i've never had this problem anywhere else. I think it's just because they are so busy. I found my mile high nachos to be excellent! Cheese and more cheese with plenty of chips. I had the steak on mine which was great, but they sure didn't put a lot on there. On that note the chips for the salsa are a bit thicker and pretty darn good. Both the inside and outside are great and both look clean and well maintained. I do wish they had a better selection of beer. Prices seem pretty normal I think this place has really stepped up it's game since i've first been. I can't say i've been their late so i'm extremely curious as to what the crowd and dancing bring. As to after work and sports games i think it's a pretty good place to be. read more

They have some decent bar space inside and a better than average sized courtyard style patio. On the occasions I have been there, the crowd has all age groups represented. Girls behind the bar were friendly, not overly friendly but still pleasant. It could be because you cant hear yourself talk let along someone else. My family came down from Seattle and we decided to stop into Chill. We decided to sit outside on the patio. The waiter was new so she didn't know all of the answers but definitely new how to find them (I am always ordering something weird and not on the menu). My Fam order chicken fried steak, and a burger and they said their food was amazing. I ordered the veggie burger and it was delicious. I had a slight issue and the management took care of it immediately without me even asking. I ordered a special drink: I ask the bartender to make something sweet, fresh and strong. They brought out a blue drink which taste amazing. I spoke to management as well to let them know there waitress did a great job. Had a night out on the town with a friend of mine and we hit Grapevine (pretty hard looking at the bank account) and this was one of our stops along the way. We had parked in a lot more in the downtown area and walked to the bar and wasn;t sure what to expect. It looked like a rusty tin hut from the outside and I wasn't sure it was open until we approached and saw people coming in and out. Once inside, it was a different place. A bar to the left, beyond that is the door to the patio area, then going further back and around the corner there was another bar. We decided to sit at a table and was served by a very nice waitress, however we couldn't help feeling her attentions were more directed at the table behind. That said, she did keep checking up on us on a regular basis. No food was consumed here, just the beer which was good and cold for a hot evening. Considering it is a smoking bar, it didn't seem too bad. Overall, nice place shame about the smoke, and attentive service even though we felt our server couldn't wait to get to another table. I wish Yelp would let us rate /10 because this would probably be a 7/10. I can't quite give it 4 stars but it really doesn't deserve 3 either, I'm looking forward to going back another night to give it a chance to shine. read more

They have a great taco Tuesday special. Dollar tacos and 2.50 dos equis/coronas. The patio is insane and if you go there on a nice day it's great. They have live music every so often and everyone I've seen is great. Depending on what you like they will have it. I've been going to chill now for 4 years. This last experience was sad. We witnessed a man kicking, hitting, and dragging his dog on the porch and when we confronted were cussed at by the guy. We got the police involved and asked to see the manager to inform him of the situation. When the manager came up to us he was extremely rude towards us. Saying he wouldn't give us any personal info. Which we hadn't asked for we just wanted him to know, in case police came to him. He continued to be extremely rude and unprofessional towards us. Knowing how he handles a crime (animal cruelty) being committed on the property with multiple witnesses. But treated us like we had done something wrong. Least favorite bar in Grapevine. Called hours before asking if it was okay if we wore nice shorts to the bar since it was 100 degrees outside. Once we reached the door we were denied entry because "entry is determined by the bouncer" even though we called hours before asking about proper "dress code" we were denied entry. We have been in this establishment multiple times wearing "golf shorts" and have never been denied entry but because of one cock sucker working the door thinking that he is big time will not allowed entry to 10 gentleman in "golf shorts". After walking back by to get into our Uber they decided to let a gentleman in with jean shorts and another man in on BASKETBALL shorts. We came to this establishment to have lunch and some drinks before our sister leaves to return back to cali and we had the best time ever. I personnally am 43 years old and have never experienced service like our waitress Torri gave us. We had so much fun.... great laughs. She was absolutely amazing!!! I was prepared to have a skewed opinion since the owner is a friend, however...I am posting a 100% honest review. We were running somewhat late for the dinner hour, but we grabbed a table and looked over the menu. It's really nice to know that they serve late. I ordered the chicken fried chicken with gravy & hubby got a big burger. (it was cheat night) I was totally impressed! Our service was superb and our food was outstanding, like really yummy! They advertised St. Pat's Day with live music on the patio starting at 3 pm. Well they were completely understaffed and unsympathetic about it. They had 1 bartender. It took 20 minutes to get a bottled beer. They ran out of green beer at 2:30 pm. Don't promote a holiday unless you plan to staff properly for it. Went yesterday with some girlfriends for their trivia night. When we got there an hour before trivia started the hostess was very rude. We were told there were no seats left in the front for the trivia night, which was fine. The waitress then told us " we needed to figure out what we were doing". Rude. So we went and sat ourselves in the back by the bathroom. After 10 minutes the same girl came back and gave us one menu for the 4 of us. She got our drink orders and came back with 3 out of 4 waters. She said she'd be back with the other one but after 20-25 minutes of waiting for a water we decided to leave. Wish we could've gotten a chance to check out the food and fun but after that experience with the waitress we decided to go elsewhere.
