We stopped by Chili's in West Valley because we needed a spot where we could catch NFL and NHL games at the same time and it totally came through. We really liked that we could snag a booth right in the bar area, so we had a great view of the screens while still having our own space to catch up and eat. As far as Chili's goes, this location is pretty much exactly like the rest--that's not necessarily a good thing or a bad thing. It's consistent, reliable, and exactly what we were looking for. Chili's is a common chain restaurant so the menu and the atmosphere are what you would expect from a Chili's. We were seated quickly. Our server Bridgette was nice and made good recommendations. The food was actually better than expected. One of the best cooked steaks I've had in a while. The seasonal margarita was pretty good. However, the stars were taken off because of conversations we overheard from the manager, who's name I believe was Eric. He was negatively speaking about customers who tried to come in close to closing time, dropping multiple F-bombs before they walked in. There was another issue with someone calling in multiple times about a ToGo order being wrong and he told the other worker not to answer the phone. Hearing things like this doesn't really make customers feel valued. I understand people get frustrated in any job but maybe share your frustrations in the back where your other customers can't hear you. read more

Honestly we've always enjoyed coming to this location but tonight was something else. We showed up 50 minutes before closing to see if it was even possible to get a table and we were told we'd be seated in 30 minutes so we decided to wait since we'd get a table. While waiting for a text to be seated, I get a text mentioning my name being taken off the waitlist. I go talk to the hostess and she says sorry you can only do take-out since they're gonna close in 15 minutes. Had we been informed this was the case then we would've just left instead of waiting the whole 30 minutes. That was really upsetting. I get it that it was close to closing time, but if you already knew we wouldn't get a table just tell me that so we didn't have to wait around for 30 minutes. Gotta do better. read more

We came here on our way to a concert hoping to save money on drink.s We are aware of the liquor laws in Utah but the manager enforced them in a rude way. We had sat and had a full dinner with drinks. After 2 visits in a week - one for my daughter's 16th birthday and another with some dear friends - where we've had extremely poor service, it's time for a Yelp... er EEEK! To spare the kind reader of 2 poor reviews from personal experience, i will digress and review what happened last night with our friends. Our server appeared new and we were fine with that. Our party was split with 3 on our ticket and 4 on the other ticket. She carefully made note and recapped our orders, leaving our table and spiriting away the orders. Our ticket included bottomless soup / salad, roasted turkey sandwich and an old timer burger. Friends ticket included a plain burger (patty and bun only), an old timer burger with no fries, an old timer burger (as seen on the menu), and another bottomless soup / salad. We've noticed that the silverware is no longer wrapped in a napkin, but placed in tiny disposable paper bags. Knife, fork and straw. No spoon. There were a total of two order updates over the first 45 minutes between ordering and the food arriving. First, at 10 minutes into the extreme wait for food, was the fact that the kitchen would have to make the baked potato soup (during the 6-7 pm dinner crowd?) that two of us ordered as they hadn't any left. we both order the enchilada soup, so no sweat. Five minutes later, we received additional feedback on the order. The kitchen was out of two types of dressing. The head of household for the friends ticket decided to gamble and decided to try something new. Salad is a good indicator that food is on the way, so we stayed. read more

We've never been to this location before. But were in the area so we stopped in. I tried to check in on the app but it wouldn't let me do it at this location for some reason. So we had to wait a bit longer once we got there. The other locations let you check in ahead of time. Once we got seated our server was quick to take our drink order and checked several times if we were ready to order. She was very attentive and did a great job. Of course we got chips and salsa. Duh.. that's a no brainer. You can't come to Chili's and not get chips and salsa. And I was in a ribs kind of mood. I want my baby back, baby back, baby back ribs! They were really good. I got loaded mashed potatoes and French fries as my sides. The portion of potatoes was a little smaller than I would have expected but they tasted good. My hubs got a buffalo chicken sandwich, and daughter got a Queso burger. I didn't taste his, but hers was really good!!! I might get that next time! We didn't get dessert, as much as I wanted to. Some of the worst service I've ever had at a Chili's. The bartender was in her own world, and the other servers were ignoring people sitting all over the place. I saw three different people come to the bar, asking to get served while the bartender just carried on a conversation with some dope at the end of the bar, I would normally have two or three beers after dinner, but there wasn't a chance I was sitting there and listening to this bartender drop f bombs presumably, flirting with some truck driver. We were seated at the bar top. Waited 10 minute without being acknowledged. We left. Big bummer.

I wish I would have seen the ratings on this Chili's before we drove there to eat. The service was okay, not great. I couldn't order the 3 for me because a margarita was one of the drink choices. It was the drink I wanted but they told me Utah wouldn't let them negotiate alcoholic drinks. ( so why is it on their menu?) So I asked about their "craft Beers" like it said to do. The server didn't know what they had and showed me a picture on her phone of the choices. She then made it pretty clear she wasn't interested in learning about the drinks that didn't fit her religion. She probably should go work at a restaurant that doesn't serve alcohol. I ordered a house salad to go with my burger. I got a Caesar salad. The tomato on my burger was too firm and made the burger not quite right. The burger was acceptable though. My wife's Southwest Chicken bowl was pretty good according to my wife. The coke was lacking flavor and my "craft beer" tasted pretty watered down. I can't imagine why a restaurant owner would do such a stupid thing as serve drinks that are not good. But maybe we should not expect decent drinks in Utah. I only visit chili's for specific dishes: margarita grilled chicken, a greasy bacon cheeseburger and a chocolate molten cake. For my last visit I ordered the margarita grilled chicken and it was yummy except for the parts that were extremely burned and the lack of tortilla chips. I ordered takeout from the Chili's on Fort Union Blvd. I ordered a full rack of ribs with house sauce and a side salad with blue cheese dressing on the side. My order was all bagged up and ready when I picked it up. I should of checked but didn't. when I got home there was no dressing for the salad,the ribs either had a dry rub or nothing. I went back and they gave me some dressing and put house sauce on the ribs. When I got back home and prepared to eat, the salad had to be left over from some time ago, because the lettuce was limp and the only thing fresh about the salad was the crotons. I was put on the waitlist that said I was the first in line. We waited for 45 minutes and no call. I came to eat here on Wednesday the food was horrible. I ordered chicken crispers was told they were out of corn on the cob (at 5:00 in the evening) so I ordered broccoli. The crispers were tiny and rubbery. The fries were hard and tasted like they were days old. The broccoli also tasted old. We got seated by a host who had shoes on but he could only fit half his foot in (?). And the seats were grimy not wiped off. Out of all the Chili's in the Chili chain, this one is pretty decent. It is clean and the atmosphere is a little bit sports bar-like. The food is nothing that can't be made at home though. We are loyal to this location for a few reasons. We've had horrible experiences with other locations/restaurants, and here we haven't had a single complaint. Even tonight when there was a mistake made, they were so kind and rushed out a replacement. Our waiters/waitresses are always SO awesome and nice. We get seated fast, and food comes out quickly and it's great quality. The service and food here are superior to most other restaurants in the area. They ID'ed us at the bar even though we were just sitting there, not ordering drinks, so they're responsible. We love these guys! They also are doing great at keeping everyone spaces out, they always wear masks, and keep everything clean. Super impressed. read more

Showed up at 7:50pm on Friday night. No waiting. We got right in. Our waitress came right over. She did not have a name tag on. She couldnt figure out how to put in our orders. After asking what 1 person in our party wanted to eat, she said, I'll be right back. Came back 10 mins later. Took our orders. 15 mins later She brought just 2 of our parties food. We watched them eat for 17 mins before I got impatient and went to talk to someone about it, as our waitress never came back. The manager came over and I informed him that 2 out of 5 of us have had their food for 17 mins. Our waitress never came back to the table during this entire time. As I'm telling him this, our food finally arrives at our table. He said. There you got it. I said, but we've been watching them eat for nearly a 1/2 an hour, is that the way it should be? He said, well no. And walked off and NEVER came back. The waitress was asked by the first 2 that got their food for a "to-go container" after 10 mins .. she hadn't brought it yet. So they went up to the front desk to ask for it. We were all waiting for refills empty glasses around the entire table. IMy husband asked the girl they got the containers from for a refill and she never brought him one. I stood up and walked over to our waitress for a refill. She brought me one. I have been coming to this location for years and in the past this plase has always been awesome ... but boy this place has fallen off the deep end. The server was nice but it took a half hour for anyone to come to our table after we were seated. We ordered and waited for our food, eventually they brought out half of the food because some of the sides were still being cooked. The food they did bring out was dry burnt and cold the ribs were like chewing shoe lether. Worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. The surver was sweet and you could tell she was making the best out of a bad situation.
