OMG! This trip just made me realize that there is no come back for Chili's, the quality of food has declined! The mugs they serve you are old and worn and they show it. My stomach turned as I was getting ready to drink my water, I saw a shadow and as I was turning the cup to take a look it looked like a worm but as I got closer it was a giant crack. Ordered 3 for $10.99, Old-timer with cheese WELL done, salad and a coke. Burger came out laying in red juice( blood) sent back, husband eating his meal. They return with my meal, obvious they put back on grill with original cheese on it, brought back with ice cold fries, I did not want at this point, husband about down with his meal. Recieved the bill and instead of taking $10.99 off bill, they took off $6.34 charging me for a small bowl of lettuce and cheese and a coke full of ice. We added ourselves to the online waitlist & the host didn't even know what that was. He said it was a 20 minute wait for 5 people. He put us on the list. Ten minutes later he asked how many were in our party ?!? Dude, I just told you, I saw you put it into the ipad. We waited 10 minutes more and he seated a party of 7 right when they walked in. We left. Host needs to push aside his curls from his eyes and pay attention. We have no plans to ever return to this Chilis. read more

We had not been to chilis in 5 years because at our last visit the restaurant seemed shabby and cold and the food un memorable. I'm very glad we decided to try them again because the atmosphere had completely changed. The building, inside and out was new looking and very comfortable. The menu has some good choices (even though I would have liked to have seen a plant burger option) and my meal did not disappoint. This is THE worst Chili's - coming from a local. It doesn't matter what time of the day you come it always takes over an hour. Our last attempt was on a Monday evening at 5 and it took over two hours. This restaurant has changed managers but it has remained the same over the past 10 years we've been here. We've been dining at Chili's for many years, but the service that you get at the Chili's in Sulphur Springs is horrible. The last time we went, it was because the time before was bad (we had chalked it up to the restaurants just being reopened due to Covid-19) was just as bad if not worse. After we were seated, (it was a little after 3pm) it took the server over 10 minutes to come and get our drink orders. Since we almost always eat the same thing when we eat at Chili's we told her that we knew what we wanted to eat. We love the 2 for $25 menu because it has everything that we love on it. So we told her that we were going to get the chips and guacamole as starters. I got the steak with mashed potatoes and gravy while my husband ordered the ribs and loaded mashed potatoes. For dessert we got the cheesecake to go. She left and we thought that our drinks and chips would be right out. WRONG!!! We sat there for about another 10 minutes or so and no drinks/chips. Another server walked by and we asked her what was going on. She said that our server was probably busy with other tables, but there was only one other couple in our area of the restaurant. She said that she would check into it and get our drinks/chips out quickly. Suddenly our server was there with our drinks but not with our chips. I asked her where they were and she said that she had forgotten. She asked us to repeat our order and would put it in immediately. She quickly brought out our chips and guacamole, but by this time it had been almost a half hour since we sat down. We are our chips and guacamole, drank our drinks but still no dinner or refills. Asked another server to find ours and what happened to our dinners. Finally out she came with our food. I cut into my steak, which I had ordered rare, and there wasn't even any pink in the middle. I immediately sent it back to be redone. I mean how do you screw up a rare steak? This time I think she waited for my food because it came out quickly. This time it was perfect. She finally found time to come and see if the new steak was right and ask if we wanted refills (dug yeah). Along with the refills came the bill and she said that we could pay on the device that sits on the table. We finished our dinners and drinks, waiting for our cheesecake. The device on the table wasn't working so I had to pay for our bill through the server. She acted like I was stupid and couldn't or wouldn't use the machine. She finally came back with my card and what I had to sign. We left her with a 1 cent tip and went to find the manager. I explained about our experience in his restaurant and his server. How long everything took, the screwups, her not bringing us our dessert and the 1 cent tip. His response was to go and get our dessert and then proceeded to "explain" that he only had 4 servers for the entire shift and that was why our service was slower than usual. He also said that by leaving only a penny, I was only hurting the other servers as well. I let him know that I wasn't happy having to wait for drinks/chips/food cooked wrong and her attitude about the check. He started to say something, but by that time I was so mad, if he would of said something to defend her, I probably would have started screaming. No apologies no effort to adjust our bill, NOTHING. My husband told me to go out to the car and told the manager that we would not be coming back and we would be telling our friends about our experience and to find somewhere friendlier to their customers other than Chili's and we walked out and won't be going back again. read more

They did not get a single order correct (when asked to correct the mistake the waitress became confrontational), could not provide anything in a timely manner, and over charged several items on the bill. This past Saturday night, we were travelling back home and came upon this place, because the first place in Sulphur Springs we went to, Bodacious BBQ, which I wrote a review on, did not want to provide a full menu, but wanted to charge full price. So, because I have long be a fan of Chili's Restaurants, and knew that everyone could get what they wanted, we went there. Best decision of the night! First, the place was busy, as other reviewers have noted, and to me, that is a sign people like the place. We were sat down promptly for our party of 6. Our waitresses attended to us very well, and right now, her name escapes me, but there was a black lady who knew that menu front and back. She was EXTREMELY helpful, kind, and courteous. She attended our glasses, and they never once went empty. Now to the food. It was delicious, hot, and fresh. My wife had the steak, and I had a bit of it. It was the most tender sirloin I think I've ever had. My honey chipotle chicken crispers were full of flavor, and everything was simply awesome. One thing I really admired was the manager of the restaurant, not afraid to roll up sleeves and help bring out trays of food, cleanup, etc. That's the hallmark of a leader, and as restaurants come, the food, service, and everything, always comes back to how good is the management. In the case of this location, the management is firing on all cylinders. How good is this place? So good that when we are passing through next time, we will stop here. Food was horrible. Ordered a plate of "classic" nachos. Well there was nothing classic about them. Presentation was awful. Just 10-12 chips on a plate and each individual chip layered with small amount of beans, queso and cheese. No salsa, sour cream, tomatoes... How is this classic? On top of all that, several chips were burnt on the bottom. The taste was just ok at best. We ordered quac on the side and it came in the tiniest sauce cup, maybe 2-3 tsp, for $1 extra. The waitress was really friendly and she was very attentive to our table but the temperature of the food and the presentation of the food has just declined more and more. Considering all the spots that sell this type of food around burgers, sandwiches, and appetizers they don't try to go above and beyond. With food coming out of the kitchen like this I would be ashamed as a server to deliver it to a table. Server was great but if the food comes out cold and sloppy looking that won't make up for it and in turn it can directly be reflected in her tips. Ordered food to go for a business lunch. I tried to order online but after inputting everything, the website deleted everything after I checked out, so I had to call it in. The staff were very friendly and helpful with taking the order. The food was good, but the prices are very high. A simple club sandwich was over ten dollars. I had the guacamole burger. A little salty but a nice patty. The fries were decent. I can't say I would eat here again due to the prices. There doesn't seem to be much available in Sulphur Springs so this might be your best bet. A typical Chili's with the remodeled interior. There's a good variety on the menu to make everybody happy. Burgers are always delicious and their new Mexican food menu is an Americanized not-too-spicy addition that adds more breadth to their menu. Walked into this Chili's at approximately 7:15pm. There was only one table available for our party of five; it was a very busy Wednesday dinner rush. Our drink orders were taken immediately and we were able to get our drinks with very little wait time. The waiter returned to take our order but we needed a moment to decide what we all wanted for entrees but we put in our appetizers order. The appetizers came out with what felt like normal wait time and he took our entree order. Our drinks were not refilled until after our appetizers were completely finished and we had stacked all our plates. Almost 30 minutes passed and the waiter finally cleared our plates away and told us our steaks are "coming out right now". He accidentally gave us a sweet tea instead of an unsweetened tea. Another 10 minutes passed and he finally got our entrees out to us. The food was delicious and our food was cooked to our satisfactory; it's Chili's-- you can't expect extraordinary food here. My sweet tea was replaced with and unsweetened tea, but for some reason this tea tasted like the way toilet water smells. I'm from Hawaii where the tap water is insanely clean so maybe I'm spoiled but I cannot stand the way this tea tasted. It was weird too because my first unsweetened tea tasted perfectly fine and delicious. We ordered dessert after dinner and it arrived with little wait, tasting amazing. Overall, the waiter was nice and friendly and the food got to us in the end. My assumption is the place is either understaffed or just really busy. I would come back again but only because the staff is nice and food is pretty good. Still, though... would rather go somewhere else and pay the same amount to get my food delivered to us quicker. Edit: When the waiter brought our check, he neglected to split the check and explained we needed to input our rewards into the digital table kiosk to get our discount. After wrestling with a difficult system and asking for assistance and even a manager (for which none arrived to help) for more than 20 minutes, the waiter finally inputted the discount himself and gave us our paper tickets. GET YOUR DIGITAL KIOSK SYSTEM TOGETHER, CHILI'S! Honestly, this is the WORST Chili's I have ever been too!!! The waitress Chauncey was rude and dismissive. She acted as if she didn't want to serve us. She dropped my friends steak dinner on the floor and by the time the manager came out to "resolve" the issue, we were all done eating. Basically my friend left hungry as they were out of everything... broccoli, sour cream, etc... The food we did get was horrible. Food were sloppily plated, the broccoli (yes they had some apparently) was old and stunk, not to mention cold, Another friend's salad was old and droopy so they saturated it with salad dressing to cover up the wilted leaves. By the time Nick Murray the manager came out we were over it all. He was no better. It explains why the service is the way it is. He did nothing to appease the customers. I was in town for a business trip, didn't want to eat fast food so I gave this chilis a try. I ordered a to go over the phone. The person that took my order was very nice and energetic. I ordered with no problems at all. I showed up about 20 minutes later to pick my food up. I paid with ease and was in and out within 5 minutes it was awesome. I went back to my hotel room to eat and everything I ordered was in my bag as well as extra napkins and silverware. The food was still hot and was able to enjoy it. Overall my food and experience was good. I have been to quite a few chilis restaurants good and bad but this one I would have to say was good. Before you read this you should know that I am a server in a family of natural complainers of wait staff. That being said this is THE worst service I have ever had. Our server, who didn't even tell us his name, was actually training some poor guy to be a terrible server. Our drinks were brought to the table in a timely manner, but after taking our order they were empty. My family began complaining about how long it took for refills, and I as a server and a trainer, talked them down.... For the first 5 minutes. After 7 minutes without refills, the server walking by, as well as managers, I began to get irritated. I would understand if you were busy, but we came at 11:30 when they only had about 5 tables in the whole restaurant. Finally 10 minutes without drinks, and our appetizer plates stacked in front of me, I stopped some other server and asked for refills. It took about 4 minutes, and the 2 unsweetened teas came out as sweet teas. Naturally my family was unhappy. When the food arrived my chicken crispers with mash potatoes loaded and corn, came out with broccoli instead of the corn, and 2 others were missing the corn as well. We then asked for the appropriate sides and sauces, and he had to make several trips because he forgot things each time. My chicken was cooked through, but when I bit in to them felt like rubber in your mouth. All I can say is, I really tried to give them a chance, because I've been there and I'm usually doing everything in my power to make my family happy by talking up the server. I typically don't pay much attention to reviews of chain restaurants. I guess I feel like there is general consistency in the food/quality and that most issues arise from service. This Chili's has earned their two star rating and I feel like that is generous. The service was quick, but abrupt. It was if the waitress was going through the motions to make it to the end of her shift and we were just part of that process. All of our food was poor quality. See attached picture related to the chips and salsa. All the chips were soaked with grease. If anyone actually cared, I don't think any of the food we received would have make it out of the kitchen. We have eaten at this chili's several times and it has always been pretty good until last night. My husband always orders a ribeye medium. I always order a burger. The steak came out rare on one side and raw on the other. I have seen undercooked steak but nothing even close to that. They took it back and burnt it on one side then put it back on the same plate. He was sick to his stomach the rest of the evening. My burger was dry and the bun was burnt. I couldn't eat it. They offered to bring us something else but after what we had seen of the cooking we were just ready to leave. They didn't charge us for the burger but shouldn't have charged for the steak either. We will find a new place to eat in the future. read more

I'm a regular Chili's customer and I was extremely dissatisfied with the service this location had. The host was not nice at all, she cussed under her breath when a party of 8 entered after us, she did not give us silverware, and she did not represent the company in a professional manner. Service was extremely slow. Server was not very attentive either. She asked us if we wanted refills when all of our glasses were empty, and our food was not even out. We constantly had to keep reminding her of what we ordered. My food was cold and the portion was not accurate. I always get the Cajun Chicken Pasta and it looked like they just splattered the food on a place with no kind of organized presentation. This was by far the worst Chili's experience I have ever had.
