Walked in with my teen daughter at about 6:40 PM. There was nobody ahead of us waiting to be seated awesome right?! We waited about 4-5 minutes in the entryway at the podium. They were moderately busy but nothing crazy. We noted over 8 different employees out in the dining room so they seemed fully staffed. We also had an employee with a tablet walk by us 3 times making eye contact at least once (I believe twice but maybe he only looked once). After walking by us the third time he went into the bar area to go talk to the guy working there. At this point it's been 4-5 minutes of standing at the podium with nobody ahead of us, employees repeatedly walking past us, not terribly busy, not understaffed and nobody can say a word to us. It's like we were invisible. We decided to leave and loudly said "goodbye I guess and thank you". Not a single glance our way. Guess we're mute as well. As I left I called the store where after being put on hold for a few minutes we got to talk to the manager Ryan. I told him what happened and explained that even a "hey guys we'll be with you in just a minute" and we would've stayed no problem but that ignoring people like that is a lower level of service than I get at McDonalds. His response was "oh okay... I guess I'll look at it and see what happened and if I need to I guess I'll talk to someone." Dude couldn't have cared less. If you don't want people's business that's fine but just lock the doors rather than ignore them while they're standing inside and making it clear they don't care when it's brought to their attention. read more

Normally not my first choice , but I was with my nephew and he was excited to get the mozzarella sticks. I ended up getting fajitas with a dark curly hair in it. Our sweet hairless server, I felt bad took it off of our tab and offered food a replacement. I was so not feeling like eating after that. So, I got dessert for the table. It was their new molten lava cookie thing, and it tasted like plastic-so disgusting that no one at the table could eat it. I had an absolutely fantastic dinner here with my best friend. Arctic drift? Refreshing and aesthetically pleasing. Dip trio? Great appetizer. Especially the white queso. It may just be the best, most creamiest queso I've had. Chicken bacon ranch quesadillas? Delicious. Quarter pounder? My best friend said it was super good. I believe it. The "healthy" changes to the previously tasty and great queso dip to something that they should be extremely embarrassed about serving - it's watered down and tasteless. More importantly, the service was negligent regarding a severe food allergy. Despite confirming the allergy twice with our server, the request was ignored, creating a dangerous situation. Chili's used to be a favorite of ours, but it has steadily gone downhill! The Quesadilla explosion salad used to be my favorite items on the menu, but now they just dump pre-washed salad on a plate that looks like it's five days old and the dressing is no longer good. Instead of tasting like they actually made their salad dressing , It tastes like it got squirted out of an old bottle. Probably one of the worst salads I've ever eaten! I love their chips and salsa!!! I don't know what it is...but i could just go here for this alone! I got the "3 for me" which allowed me to get a drink, appetizer, and meal. I had the chips with guacamole and salsa as my appetizer, strawberry lemonade, and the chicken tenders for my meal. The guacamole was wonderful!! My whole family enjoyed it and they did a great job refilling the chips and salsa along the way. I really like their lemonade options. There are a ton of flavors and they are yummy! My wife and I had the "hangries" after spending nearly two hours at the Christkidlmarkt up at "This is The Place" monument park on Friday...and so we made a bee-line for one of our favorite local chain establishments...Chili's at Sandy Mall. I know what everyone says about Chili's...but we find their offerings diverse, experienced great service, and we really can't say we had a bad meal there. And yes, the current management of this franchise has apparently cleaned things up and addressed some of the prior shortcomings over the last 10 years (e.g., slow service, cold food, dirty floors, un-bussed tables, etc.) and for the last few years we've found this store to be doing very well by all measurements. We intentionally like to eat in a small booth in the bar area, and found our table after a short wait. We were waited on by "Bella" (Isabella) who was one of the bartenders, and she was attentive, charming, and had a wonderful sense of humor. My wife enjoyed her chicken fingers and draft beer, while I devoured my de-lish - if not slightly spicey - Sante Fe Chicken Salad...and a "Presidente Margarita"...yum. We got a free order of chips and salsa (through our Chili's app), but found this serving of chips to not be one of their best. These were heavy and thick chips and not the delicate and extra-thin chips we like so much. Nevertheless, the meal was excellent and the service was top-notch. This is by far the best Chili's I've ever been to! The service is always great and the food is always hot and fresh. We always do the 3 for me deal which comes with a drink, an appetizer, and an entree from a list you can choose from. I always get the loaded baked potato soup and the old timer with cheese burger. Both are so good! Their burgers are charred, the buns are golden brown and buttery, and the toppings are fresh! If you love ranch ask for a side of ranch, you won't be disappointed. Theirs is the best! The soup is creamy and has lots of potatoes and is topped with cheese and green onions, it's so good. Also make sure you download the app because they always load a free appetizer to your account to use. We always get the chips and salsa and get a side of ranch which is a game changer to chips and salsa! I love how they have a self serve kiosk at the table where you can pay at the end of your meal. It makes the check out process much quicker. Also you can log into your account and claim any rewards you have to put towards your meal, so it's super convenient! THANK YOU CHILIS! Honestly, these guys have been coming in clutch lately, and we had our first dine in experience since COVID began running rampant. They helped their customers social distance, they were incredibly clean and considerate, our waitress was a freaking gem (dang it I wish I remembered her name so I could give her a proper shoutout). The service truly was fantastic; sadly I can't ever seen to say that about the food. I have had a difficult time finding something that I really enjoy, I will say the chips and salsa/queso/quac is baller. But every entree I've tasted has been a little "meh". The chicken tenders that everyone raves about, not super flavorful. The fajitas, their flavor just seems to be off every time I order. The wings, nothing special. The burgers, I've had better. Just being completely honest, I will always stand by the chips and salsa as well as the chocolate molten lava cake though. Recently came here after the car show in sandy. This location is on the grounds of south Town Mall, not attached. It always seems understaffed. My son likes it here so when we do go, we usually have to wait for a hostess to seat us. It also seems like it's always crowded no matter what time you go. They were advertising happy hour all over but when I asked, I was told it's not for Utah. Well take the signs down because it's false advertising. The food is filling and cheap. They have one of the greasiest hamburgers you can imagine but it tastes so good for a few bites then you just can't finish it anymore. Too greasy. I had only been to Chili's at a friend's request over ten years ago and while it wasn't bad, Tex-Mex isn't something I'd seek out. The burger was huge that I ended up taking the other half home. I was impressed with the service too as we were greeted by a friendly waitress. When we left I thought that must have been a fluke, good service and a good meal, that never happens anymore, right? About a couple of weeks later we decided to test our luck and visited again. While our waiter wasn't as friendly, the meal was still on point. He wasn't bad at all but when the previous waitress set the bar high... Now that brings me to today's visit. We were headed to Olive Garden next door when we decided last minute to go to Chili's instead. So glad we did. Our server, Amy was the best. I always tell people that I will be a repeat customer if the food is okay and the service is great BUT I will not revisit a place that has bad service no matter how good the food. I don't expect a server to be chipper but what I do expect is for you not to show me that you hate your job because it will ruin the food and experience. The second glass door looked OK so I gave it a go. The price of the lunch special was $10.99 but with a drink, and a tip, it came to 20 bucks. So if you're just going for a cheeseburger and a few fries and a small salad it might be right for you. They were quick to get your food to your table. One suggestion I have for chilies, some restaurants warm up their chips before they bring them to your table. I'm talking about the bottomless chip and salsa appetizer. My husband and I invited my sister to meet us at chili's because I was not really happy with them the last time we visited during covid and thought they deserved a second chance.... First a shout out to the service it was really pretty good. But she lost point for not sharing our complaints to a manager. But we tipped her good anyway. The table too was clean though just the surrounding wood had been neglected for quite some time, but even dirtier were the zayas (self paying gadget) it had sticky crap on it and I noticed other tables had the same issue from where I was sitting I could see sticky finger print's probably from kids playing games while eating their fries with dipping sauce they also had dust on the tops of the screens and on the stand so not cleaned for some time. We ordered there bottomless chips and salsa like we traditionally used to do back before covid and every other chip was stale like we were eating a mixture of yesterday and todays chip. We were a bit disappointed but ate them anyway. I thought I'd have the lunch special boneless wings with a salad and fries... upon arrival the lettuce was warm like big red flag. The boneless chicken nuggets looked a lot like frozen chicken nuggets from McDonalds but the sauce in better at McDonald's, so misleading BQ boneless "wing" sauce made the chicken taste like hotdogs. Seriously the weirdest boneless BBQ chicken wing masquerading as nuggets experience I've ever had. The fry's were so salty you could see the salt laying on the fries like someone accidentally forgot to screw the lid on the salt shaker and then shook them off and put them back on my plate. My husband had the burger and he said it was pretty tasteless and lacking flavor. My sister being the nice person she is expressed her thought after we left saying. "I'm never going to chills again". All in all we were disappointed. I hope this review will inspire change in this restaurant. I having worked in the restaurant business for several years I feel obligated to share the lack of management skills and quality control. I ordered the sirloin steak. It was not fit for human consumption. The meat was all gristle and I believe it was a chopped and formed patty and was even less edible than hamburger. For $13 I would expect more for a tiny 6 ounce steak. The potatoes were not edible either. I'm pretty sure they were made of potato flakes with a few skins mixed in, and an overwhelming amount of garlic and salt flavoring. NASTY. I had asked for the broccoli to be cooked so that it would be tender, but it was basically raw and too hard to chew. The entire meal was not edible. I had hope for my server at the beginning but he only stopped by once to see if we needed anything. I had asked for steak sauce when they brought my plate, however he never brought it, which in hindsight was just fine because I couldn't eat that meat anyway. I don't think a dog would even eat that meat. I haven't been too jazzed about Chili's since last time I tried their fajitas and the peppers and onions were slimy... I know that places are shortstaffed right now I know that people are trying in their own way. But that food was not fit for human consumption. First off we called to get a table for my husband and I and our 6 kids. They said that they couldn't do that. Because a table for 7 is the max. So we checked in on Yelp and were the first in line... we got there, checked in and still waited for 30 minutes. Our table was so gross. So sticky. The whole restaurant was gross and sticky. I noticed how the kitchen as I walked to the bathroom, it was beyond filthy.... I honestly wouldn't have stayed if my daughter wasn't so hell bent on having some south west egg rolls.
