I went to Peoria for a meeting. Afterwards several people from the club I was attending went across the street to Chili's to eat. The service was good and the burger I had was great. I usually prefer to stick to local/independent restaurants and am often unimpressed with chains, but the truth is, Chili's is indeed A-OK. I've only eaten at this location once, but when we did, the food was hot, fresh, plentiful, and quick - and that's even when we took advantage of the 2 eat for $20 deal (one app, two entrées). Our server was friendly and engaging, answered questions we had, and checked up on us frequently without making us feel harassed. They have a number of tempting specials, and it can turn out to be a very affordable meal if you make the right choices (on the right days). Our meal of two mug-sized margaritas, guac & salsa app, fried shrimp, and a bacon burger (plus sides for the entrées) came to $35 after tax and a (slightly generous, 'cause our server was pretty cool) tip, and we were more than full enough to skip dessert. Usually have good experiences at Chili's, however last Sunday was a stinker. Server was ok, brought us refills as Chili's normally does. But...the food! Took much longer to arrive than on any weeknight, and my favorite Buffalo Chicken Ranch sandwich was soggy, as were the fries. No crispy flavor here! My companion's meal was also sub-par...hoping it was just a fluke. Must be the B-team on Sunday afternoons. read more

As far as Chilis goes, this is one of the best. Servers are incredible, especially Anthony and Katie. They go above and beyond for the picky eaters like myself. I always am asking for extras like ranch or cheese and I am hardly ever charged. The food always comes out great and the atmosphere is very inviting. I've been here with groups, on a date, and even by myself. My only knock is the to-go portion. Wasn't all that hot and I was always charged for extras. read more

We visit Chili's often for dinner and it's a decent place to eat. The service is always friendly and we are seated quickly. I usually have the Big Mouth Bites and Kevin tries different things, and while the main entrée is usually great, the fries and other accompaniments can be very standard. This restaurant used to be our NO.1 choice in Peoria. Used to wait in long lines just to eat there. We decided to eat there today and it was a way different story. Ordered the Monday special fajitas mix 2. steak and chicken $10.99. Steak was so stringy and chewy neither of us could chew it up. asked to have shrimp instead because the steak was not edible. Waiter brought us more steak. If we can't eat this steak why would you bring us more? He did bring out shrimp when we were done eating all the chicken. The music was VERY loud, could not even carry on a conversation. Probably why the waiter did not hear me ask for shrimp. I was more than ready to get out of there! Only thing good was the chips and salsa which are now $5.99. They did not even offer more salsa when our bowl was empty and we still had plenty of chips. Used to be free or at least a LOT cheaper. Then we got home and looked at the bill and we were charged $16.99 instead of the special price $10.99. Chili's is marked off my list! read more

We rarely go here since it's not our choice for food, but we keep getting gift cards for Christmas to this place. We used to eat at the East Peoria location because it's closer to where we live; however, the food there is terrible. Anyway, we used up our last gift card at the Peoria location last night and it was great. The food was actually good-cooked properly and seasoned well. The food did take a bit longer than we expected, but I'm willing to wait a little bit and get good food. The server was great, didn't have to ask for refills, she just brought them when she saw we were out. The big drawback to this place is the noise level. It was so loud that my husband and I sat quietly because we couldn't hear each other. We were seated near some people who were practically shouting at each other due to the noise level. We won't go out of our way to eat here, but if we get anymore gift cards, we'll choose this location over the one in East Peoria. read more

Chili's has never been one of my favorites but we received a gift card and I don't waste free food. We stopped for lunch on Saturday. There were several tables for two throughout the restaurant but the hostess seated us in the noisy room with all of the families. The table was so far from the booth my husband and I had to sit at the end of the booth to reach it. The lunch specials were only available Monday through Friday. I thought the prices were a bit high for lunch but we were already there so we ordered. However, as we waited for the free chips and salsa that every Mexican restaurant serves and I sort of remember receiving them the last time we ate at Chili's we never got any. Looking at the menu they were only available to reward card members. Big bummer!!! The waitress was not overly friendly but she did check on us from time to time. On a positive note, the food we ordered was delicious however it will be a long, long time until I go back to Chili's again. read more

Me and my friends came to this location hoping for a really good dinner to start off our night (my best friends 21st birthday). We were not at all disappointed. Chili's Grill & Bar I just received the worst experience from your mgr Robert. He overspoke me many times. My daughter's dance team hosted a competition and I've been on the Run making important errands all day. It is 11:16 p.m. I ordered curbside service about an hour ago to come to find out my meal was not in the bag. This means from the time I woke up at about 9 a.m. to now all I've had to eat was a small fry and two energy drinks. He did refund me my money but it was the worst experience I've had calling anywhere in my entire life. I worked in a call center for over 11 years and I've never spoken to a customer like that and dealt with 20 times worse. I will be making a BBB complaint a negative Yahoo review as well as a poor Google rating due to the experience. Chilis you lost a value customer this is the second time this has happened. Since day1 when Chilli's opened it's doors I have only ordered 1 thing and I will say it's the best Chix Ranch Sandwich with no bun lettuce and tomato, both sauces on the side and fries with cin. apples is the best thing since sliced bread. "There's no place like Chili's!" I know where the Chili's are located by using my GPS during my travels. San Diego, Las Vegas, Colorado, Arizona, Utah....you name it. The "frosty" Margarita's are refreshing! My favorite is the local Chili's on N. University in Peoria, IL. I sit down, talk to the "awesome" servers, read the newspaper and have my Margarita and lunch (or dinner). Or, I meet my friends and we catch up on the news. It's a great refresher between errands. My family of 6 went to Chilli's on Friday Nov25th for dinner. around 8pm. we were very disappointed in our food. first the corn on the cob was cold on two orders, then the chicken nuggets. planks or whatever you call them was half done. When we told the waitress all she said was I will bring you more, my girls said ok on the corn but no on the chicken after biting into half done chicken they did not want any more. You would have thought the manager would have come to the table and at least offered them free meals ,but no all they did was took 5 dollars off of each bill.......POOR SERVICE THIS TIME AND POOR FOOD. we could hardly talk from the waitress staying at the table, even when we said we were not ready to order she just stood there.. read more

Chili's is a great place for lunch or dinner. Soups and salads are particularly tasty, and the service is always speedy and friendly. I've lingered at the table with a good friend for hours and the staff don't seem to mind it at all. Love the pictures all over too. read more

Great menu, great server. We had a blast with her (tall blonde). The lunch prices can't be beat (half sandwich, fries, and bowl of soup for $6-$8!)- and you can get the lunch combo all day at this location! Though those are great prices, I get the delicious beef fajitas, which aren't on the lunch combo menu (the chicken are) and it is worth the price! When busy, the food can take 20 minutes, but anywhere else you go during the busy time would be just as long. Would recommend! read more

I want to leave a good review. Normally, when I go to Chilis I have a good meal. They normally have new items on the menu when I return to Chilis. The menu is normally always very delicious. Unfortunately my last trip to chilis over this past weekend was a 100% opposite of all the good things I just mentioned. My server Ruth was so unblieiveably rude to not only myself but my guests as well. The food came out cold, it took entirely too long to get our beverages refilled. On top of all of this, After she brought the check out to us, she circled our table like a vulture trying to hurry and get us out the door. It was extremely uncomfortable, She could not wait for us to sign our bills so that she could, I would assume get off work for the evening. I have been living in US for 15 years. I don't know why I didn't go to Chili's more often. Well, I went back recently, I relized how much I missed. I truely think Chili's is a great place, actually it is a very cool place to eat! OK Typically i would never feel so compelled to review on these sites but my last experience at this restaurant was beyond disappointing. Last week on a Tuesday my family and I decided on carry out from this Chilis. Granted this is not my first time ordering from here. Well on this particular occasion, the so called meal given to us should be a embarrassment to this establishment. The food presentation was disgusting as if thrown together with little regard to customer satisfaction. The rice with one order was burned, the pizzas for my boys were wrong, the side orders for my meal were wrong along with the guacamole was brown as if been sitting out for an extended period of time. My order was so egregiously incorrect and unappealing that i brought this to the attention of the manager. As i complained in a civil matter two patrons who were witnessed to this both opted out of their order in disbelief and disgust. It is one thing to get an order wrong but it is clearly another when an apparent indifference is shown in the preparation of ones food. As a result of this unfortunate experience i do not believe i will return until a professional change in the culture of this particular Chilis is changed. read more
