Haven't been to this Chilis in a very long time. My friend and I decided to come here since we both haven't been in a very long time. This one is located off Poplar Level Rd close to Norton Audubon. Parking wasn't an issue and neither was getting a table once we got inside. We were seated at a booth and we got service rather quickly. I ordered the 3 appetizer special and my friend got the chicken bacon ranch quesadilla. My 3 apps consisted of the Nashville Hot Mozzarella sticks, sliders and bbq chicken tenders. All which were good but the mozzarella sticks were my fave. My friend enjoyed their chicken bacon ranch quesadilla even though it was bigger than expected. We didn't try any cocktails or drinks this time but, maybe next time. Food was kinda pricey even though they do have my 3 for $10. My friend chose this location since it's equidistant from the both of us. When I came a bit before 6pm, it wasn't busy. Tons of parking spots here. I quickly ordered a drink to get the HH deal. The berry dragonfruit marg was seasonal and it was HUGE. For $6, it was an amazing deal! Prob a bit too sweet for my liking but really tasty nonetheless. For apps, my friend and I got the chips and skillet beef queso which came with salsa too? Not sure if that's the usual? We also got the mozz sticks since the cheese pull went viral online. The cheese pull did not disappoint! My friend pulled the cheese probably about half her wingspan. The apps were both good. A lot better than I expected! I don't remember liking the salsa 15 or so years ago but the food quality seems to have improved. The menu has a lot of options. I was impressed with the selection as I didn't expect to see so many types of things to eat. The server gave us his recommendations and he mentioned the big mouth bites, which are basically sliders. This is our first visit and was conveniently located near UL, which was our evening stop. No issue to get seated right away and we ordered drinks plus unlimited chips and salsa. My husband and I split the Triple Dipper, a large appetizer. You're given a flavor options for the items. We picked the basic: burger sliders, chicken tenders, and southern egg rolls. The avocado dipping sauce was great with the egg rolls. Our teen enjoyed the burger sliders and fries. I'm extremely disappointed with the way we were treated by the manager during our recent visit. The customer service was unprofessional, rude, and honestly petty. I called ahead at 5:00 PM to give a heads up that we would be coming in with a larger party. When we arrived around 6:20 PM, we were told the wait would be 1 to 1.5 hours, which we understood and were willing to wait. After waiting 1 hour and 15 minutes, I checked back in for an update and was told it would be another 30 minutes. During that conversation, the manager also made a comment telling me not to bring my large party anyway, which was unnecessary and inappropriate. While waiting, I noticed four tables next to each other that were unoccupied. We were first in the queue to be seated, so I asked if we could sit at those tables separately. I had also mentioned earlier that splitting up was completely fine for our group. The manager said no. When I asked why, he said "because they have a plan." When I asked what the plan was, he refused to explain and instead continued arguing with me. Less than 10 minutes later, we were seated at the exact tables I had asked about -- the same ones he told us we couldn't have. Once we were seated, the manager was seen talking and pointing at our table, which felt incredibly unprofessional. He also made a point to check on every other table in the area but never once came to ours to see if everything was okay. It felt intentional and petty. The only positive part of our visit was our server, who was absolutely amazing and did a fantastic job despite the uncomfortable situation created by management. The location on Poplar Level has been the best Chili's that we have gone to. We went last Sunday and we had a great server. She was very friendly and attentive. I wish I had gotten her name because she was awesome. The food came out hot and delicious. As soon as someone got up from a table it was cleaned off immediately. Our server was wonderful, it was clear that he really enjoyed his job. I would say the reservation and table setup were suboptimal. There were 2 parties of 20 people that came in before us and the restaurant set up the tables so any table that sat 6 or more had been used by the parties of 20. Had an unexpected great time at this location. Really relaxed space to bring our 2 year old. Staff were patient and attentive and the appetizers we ordered were great. We stopped into Chili's Wednesday evening because of the convenience of it being so close to our home. My fiance wanted to watch the Louisville basketball game so we sat in the bar. The molten lava cake came out covered with caramel sauce and topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I love a molten lava cake but this was just okay ... the taste was blah and not worth the calories. The bartender, Matt, was on top of it! Refills on drinks, chips and salsa without asking. Updated from years ago- wowed by recent trip. Busy and still managed to handle my family and their special requests (sauce on the side, no cheese, etc.,) with a smile on their face.
