This was our first visit to the Janesville Chili's, but it definitely will not be our last. We had a wonderful experience, from the hostess to the server to the food to management. We both got the Triple Dippers as our meals so we could taste a bunch of different appetizers. All were delicious; we especially liked the wings and my husband raved about the southwest egg rolls. The chips and salsa were great, the chips the best I've ever eaten, warm and extra crispy. I'd go back just for those. Every person we encountered was friendly and helpful. Came for lunch with a couple coworkers for a quick meeting. I chose our lunch location because Chilis has 3 for me and can usually get you in and out. My 2 coworkers have never been to Chilis. There was no one up front and nobody around (it was 12:05pm) Also no sign letting us know to wait for a hostess to be seated. So we seated ourselves. The manager Jamie walked by quickly and snapped "you do Not seat yourself, we have a hostess." to which I replied I do apologize there was no sign and nobody around.. immediately my coworkers felt like they wanted to leave and both of them told me immediately they would never come back. We couldn't leave because we had less than an hour to get our lunch and get on with our day. So we proceeded to order she stopped by again and was very impatient and crude. I think Jamie needs a lesson in her customer service skills. Now our server Vanessa on the other hand was absolutely fantastic. Thought ahead brought extra napkins, brought another round of drinks without us asking. And was extremely polite. As for the food, we ordered a burger from the three for me menu and fries that was good I ordered three for me quesadilla and that was also enjoyable And the third-party ordered chicken fajitas. He said the fajitas were good, but he hated the black beans and also said he did not enjoy the rice. just WOW. WHAT EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Tan Bach greeted us immediately and within minutes we had Devon pop in to get us rolling. Appetizer of chips and combo tasty - refill chips - NO problem. The team touched our table NINE times refilling drinks clearing plates smiling and asking if we needed anything. NOT overkill timed perfectly. Did a great job singing happy bday to table next to us. Salmon and perfectly cooked asparagus - 5 stars - smashburger excellent and both chx quesedulla salads were huge fresh and YUMMY. Wish I would have taken pictures! I'm hard to please I guess you can say and even though I've ate at a lot of places I usually don't like, think it's ok or like the food. What I had today at Chilis I LOVED. My husband and I shared the chips and salsa then I had the triple dipper as my meal and dannnggg it was delicious!! We had a late lunch at the Chili's in Janesville this week. The location was convenient which was the main reason we went there vs elsewhere. It was clean. The decor is pleasant. Standard Chili's atmosphere. Our service was excellent. Our waiter came promptly to take our drink orders, deliver drinks, deliver food, and check how things were going and bring the check. He was friendly and offered suggestions. The food and drink were fine but unremarkable. Side salads seemed a mite small even for a side salad. The chicken sandwich was fine. A thick piece of well-cooked chicken, a couple of slices of avocado, the bacon was good. Fries were OK but could have been crisper. The Bloody Mary was rather bland. It was a perfectly acceptable meal but left me wanting something better. read more

We tried the new Chili's location in Janesville, and it did not disappoint! It's located near Target, where Perkins used to be. It is the cutest little "quick" version of Chili's, because it is smaller than your typical location due to putting it in an already established location. I really love it though! They were packed when we were in there, but they were really timely with orders, drinks and desserts. We had a gift card, so we were frivolous with what we ordered, but it was all absolutely delicious. I haven't been to a Chili's in so long, and they really knocked our visit out of the park. Frozen strawberry margarita that I drool over in my dreams, still fantastic. No lava cake can touch their molten! My husband loved his soup and salad, and my sirloin has SO much flavor that I was soaking up all the leftover seasonings and juices with the loaded mashed potatoes. Get out with that flavor! 1. Food - fresh, well made. Never had a meal at Chili's - for whatever reason, I'm going to guess it's the all over the place reviews kicking the management in the rear and got them in gear - the food was hot and well-made. 2. The manager visited our table twice to ensure food was good, and that we were happy with how the meal was going - our server was nice, dude had a lot of personality and made the dinner keep a casual atmosphere. 3. Ambiance. Not a word really used in a chain restaurant. The place was clean, modern, and well tended. I think if I'd had NOTICED an 'ambiance' it'd taken LOTS from the experience. But yeah - for my first time at a Chili's, these folks put a good foot forward and gave a good experience. Would eat there again. read more

Hmm just what Janesville needed another chain restaurant within a 1 mile radius of others. In comparison to the other Chilis restaurant this location is knocking it out of the park with everything from service to taste. If you are comparing this restaurant as opposed to any other no thanks. Food is mediocre at best. Seems to be so many employees they are tripping over themselves yet if you need something and stop someone they aren't as helpful. They did get me in by offering the free appetizer! For being a new restaurant it is disgustingly dirty. The floor is so dirty and slippery that there is black grease trails on the concrete outside at the exit doors. I can't imagine how dirty the kitchen is if the dining room was that gross. Our server has stains all over her shirt on top of poor service. Appetizers came out cold after our meal was finished. After reading that the cops were called about a staff fight in the kitchen I can see why. Definitely not up to Chillis standards. read more

Went on a Tuesday a little after 1PM. Asked for coffee. Nope, no coffee available. Ordered the loaded baked potato soup - it was very good. Added the boneless wings - far better at Pizza Hut than here. Asked the waiter about the ribs and was told if I wanted good ribs, go to one of the Rockford area Chili's, not here. When it came time to pay, the male waiter pulled a fast one with the tip. He got away with it this time. We arrived at 10:20 pm. The hours said they close at 11 p.m. A guy came up and asked what I needed, and told him that we had a party of 5 to eat. He told me that they close at 11 and we wouldn't be able to be served. 2 feet away from me, the bartender was taking an order from 2 people who had just gotten there sitting at the bar. The guy was pretty rude when I questioned him about that, and said we would probably get our food late and that we would have to leave because they close at 11 p.m. He made it very clear he didn't want us there. While we''ve had good experiences with to-go orders, this was really, really poor. Sad thing is that there are very few restaurants open in janesville after 10 p.m. to sit down and eat. We ended up going to BWW with a server that made us feel like he was happy we were there. Won't be going back anytime soon to Chili's. Pretty sad. read more

My coworkers went here and they said the service was subpar. The waiter Jimmy never refilled the chips and had to be reminded a few times about a missing soup. In addition to jimmy slow soup serve his uniform was subpar and the man-bun didn't help. On a positive note all deep fried foods are spot on. read more

I have been there 5 times since they opened. I would give it a 5 star review but the last time was just horrible. We were charged $8.99 for something we did not even order and was never even brought to our table. Our server seemed just lost on what was going on. He was scared to get the manager involved and offered to pay for the extra charge with his tips for the day. Quite weird in my opinion. Never did see the manager. After 10 minutes of trying to explain, I finally just paid the extra and left. Will not be going back until they get the bugs out of being new. read more

We were here for a total of 3 hours just for dinner. Appetizers didn't come until our entrees came out. Food was messed up when it came to the table, and there was hair in the food. My drink did not come until the table for a whole 30+ minutes. Management wasn't not very helpful and waitress did not check on our table. read more
