You pay $75 on the website for the card and you get $150 value at 6 different restaurants. We went to Milton Family Restaurant. When I sat down in the booth there was a bad smell like body odor. I asked the server what we could order because I wanted to make sure it was included on our card. She was condescending and said the fish fry. I knew that but there were different selections on their fish fry menu. So we ordered and the food came out. The food was good but not great. We got our bill and it was illegible. I took it up to pay and they had charged us for one of the fish dinners?!!! I explained I had already paid for one when I bought the card. The woman was confused and talked to the server. She said this is the way they always charge when you use the Fish Fry Card. I said why would I buy the card for $75 and then pay for the other dinner at the restaurant? That would mean I'm paying for 2 dinners. They two women couldn't understand and told me they would get the owner. I waited 10 minutes and he finally came out to speak with me. He too said I had to pay for one of the dinners and when I explained to him that I already paid for one when I bought the card he kept saying the same thing over and over again. I called the restaurant next door that is also on the Fish Card and they said you can order whatever fish dinner you want and they give you $26 off your check. (Their lowest price dinner is $13). The Milton Family Restaurant still couldn't understand! He finally said I didn't have to pay for anything. I told him I wanted to pay just not get ripped off. He finally took off $25 and I paid the rest of the check. I also overheard another person ask our server what the ham steak was and she condescendingly said "it's a ham steak). We won't be going back.

Its only down fall was that the batter seriously under seasoned leaving the fish to be disappointing bland. We had some polite conversation with others sitting at the bar and they asked if we knew any good fish fry places which made us think they were not impressed either. It was very obvious that this place supports the school and community and as I mentioned the staff was kind and courteous . Probably won't be back for a fish fry but may stop for a beer sometime.

Not an issue at all. The service was friendly and they checked back in with me frequently. I just got the basic cheeseburger and substituted the onion rings instead of fries. The onion rings are the really thinly sliced, almost "straws" they were fine, I was worried they might be soggy, but they were not, they tend to be a little saltier than normal onion rings so just be prepared. I like it just fine that way. I asked my cheeseburger, medium, and it was medium, char-grilled as opposed to griddle cooked. It was properly seasoned and came with a dill pickle spear. Everything was delicious. prices were reasonable and affordable. It wasn't fancy or mind-blowing, but it was very solid, tasty bar food. We were early for our reservation, and despite it being busy, we were seated right away. I think during the course of our dinner, every single employee checked in to see how we were doing, and one, I'm assuming the owner, told us about the history of the building. The restaurant is clean, and has a funky vibe to it. The bar area looked nice too. Definitely had the atmosphere of a place I'd stop and have a drink or two in after work. The downside to the place is every single item we ordered was way overcooked. We started with hush puppies, and they were so dark, I smelled them first to make sure they weren't cooked in old oil. They smelled fine, but when I bit in, they were totally overdone. The same went of my daughter and I's fish frys. My wife and son split the filet and shrimp. Despite neither of those being fried, they were overdone as well. Maybe we went on an off night. Not sure.
