Great atmosphere and a lot of TVs. We don't live anywhere this one but go to our local one weekly.

Staff were friendly but food was just so bad. Prices are also way too high for the quality they offer.

Came in on a Monday night at 9:30, due to a late work trip. coming close to closing time. We understand that restaurants close and have last call but we were half an hour early just hoping we can grab anything at all. We were denied food and asked if we can just get a beer. Still denied. Really wanted to give this place more credit but workers were not nice and were not trying to accommodate us by any means. Didn't even let us take to go food. read more

We went in to celebrate Father's Day as well as my wife's birthday, first off they had nearly empty store most tables were empty and telling people 45 minutes to and hour wait. This has been the new norm for them something always wrong most people and there was a lot just leave. We were a party of 10 and they wanted to set us at two tables mind you there's plenty of tables empty to accommodate 10 people we wound up putting our two tables together then let's order drinks there out of pretty much everything to make a drink(alcohol) waitress was good food was good but there as well lacking food just not managed properly hasn't been in awhile what's there is good, just not much available food or drink wise now don't open till lunchtime really gone downhill! read more

I checked the closing time online. It said 10pm. We drove up to the restaurant right around 9pm, the sign said open until 10, so I waved at my boyfriend to come out of our car. BUT the door was closed! I waved at the lady worker with glasses inside, pointed at the sign. She gave us some shitty excuses that didn't make sense... Outstanding Service from Gregory at Chili's! I just wanted to take a moment to shout out an incredible team member at Chili's -- Gregory! From the second I walked in, Gregory's positive energy was contagious. He greeted us with a big smile, such a welcoming attitude, and kept that same uplifting spirit the entire time we were there. What really stood out was how genuine and happy he was -- it wasn't forced or fake. You could tell he truly enjoys what he does, and it made a huge difference in our dining experience. He checked in on us regularly, cracked a few jokes, and treated everyone around him with kindness and respect. His energy really brought the whole place to life. People like Gregory are the reason I'll keep coming back. He made what would've been a normal visit to Chili's feel like something special. Give that man a raise -- he deserves it! Not a good meal at Carlsbad Chilis. Ribeye was a lot tough and fatty. Bartender and server were very rude. Server with glasses (did not get name)was very rude and demanded if Iwould tell her immediately if steak was ok. She was also walking thru restaurant cussing (f word and more). Kids did not need to hear that. Locals seem to get all the attention with stories of problem kids etc. NOT customer oriented at all. Really bad experience here. Stopped in Carlsbad, which might be the worst place ever. Ate a few places and this chillis managed to be the best. Never got the hostess's name but she was really nice, she had brown hair, a studded belt, and a knee brace I think. Never go to Carlsbad, but if you do, go here. read more

In the 75 years I've been alive this was the worst food I've ever had. Even the water was stale.

We've been to Chili's across the country and there hasn't been one quite like this. We went two nights in a row thinking the first bad experience was an anomaly. They were out of several food items on the kids menu, we had to wait one evening 30 minutes and over an hour the next, despite how seemingly busy they were. Our food both evenings came in shifts. The first evening it wasn't terrible and my wife and daughter got their dinner a few minutes before the rest of us. The second night, we had to wait 30 minutes for our drinks. Then my wife and daughter received their meals before the rest of us again, but this time they actually finished their meals before we even received ours. All in all, we spent over an hour waiting for our food. Combining both evenings, we spent over 5 hours at the restaurant with the majority of the time waiting. read more

Chain Chili's but some of the easiest to cook things were the worst. The Big Bites buns were hard as the cliché you'd find on the well pad. Bad enough the hockey puck burger bounced when I got rid of the bun. Southwestern Egg Rolls were hard to mess up since all they had to do was deep fry them. The ranch dipper sauce was good. Finally we get to the Chicken Crispers.... I mean c'mon you deep fry them then soak them in some Honey Chipotle sauce with more ranch dressing. What do you expect. Its not a gourmet meal by any account so it was less than expected to say the least Guess next time, if there is one, I'll need a couple Long Island Ice Teas before eating. 2 of us went for dinner, they seated us at a table that was under the air conditioner, and speakers. Cold and loud !! We ask to sit somewhere else ( there were empty tables and a booth ) but the girl told us that was the only table available for 2 people.. the other tables are for lager party's. They don't listen to the orders. No silver we're when we call in orders they add to the bill. Food has gone down in to eating at McDonald's and that suck to. The 3 for me only on the weekday. Means food and drinks. Not charge for something we didn't order no ice in the drinks. I could keep going on. It use to one of the best places to eat in Carlsbad NM. But not any more. SAD. read more

I ordered food to go and it was the worst experience ive ever had. I got to the restaurant at the time estimated the food would be ready for pick up, however it took over 10 minutes to talk to any staff member regarding my order..finally when I got ahold of someone, they told me the food would be another 5-10 minutes which wasn't a problem. I ended up waiting another 20 minutes for a total of two items (wings and a chicken sandwich). When I got home, the food was not well put together in the to go packaging and the chicken sandwich was not crispy whatsoever. It looked like a school lunch gone wrong...they also forgot all the toppings on the sandwich so it was dry. It was not a pleasant experience and I will never be returning. read more

Wow, the food here is awful, it is like they put absolutely zero effort into the food!! Of course, we've eaten at lots of Chili's in different parts of the U.S., but this one is terrible, I'm surprised Chili's don't shut it down. We did a to-go order in the Chili's app of a burger, shrimp pasta, margarita chicken and a few salads. Food was not at all fresh, old, overcooked and gross, and very small portions. They also gave me Watermelon Teas although I ordered Watermelon Lemonades, which took another 10 mins to fix after I had to go back inside. The people working there were really nice and friendly, no complaints there. If you can find any other place open to eat, I would choose that place instead of this Chili's!! They put zero effort into their food, I wish I had read other Yelper's reviews before going there. It made me mad that I left a tip for a to-go order, when the food was so bad. At least when you sit-in, you know the experience and you tip because of the service, and you're influenced by the food, but when you do a curbside order and it is this bad, it makes me not want to tip for my to-go orders again....but that's completely another conversation, lol!!! read more

Just came with a big party. Party of 13. We were told there was a 30 to 45 min wait. In no way shape or form were these girls doing their best to seat us, going back and forth from the front to the back. Why didn't the manager just come up and talk to us from the gate since clearly these kids in the front have no authority to make decisions and clearly cannot properly seat people?? Horrible teamwork. Horrible communication. Best way to lose money. The food?? Didn't even get to try it! ZERO STARS CHILI'S!! Shame on management!! Never again Chili's of Carlsbad. read more

The usual American fare, located in the southern tip of a small oil town with many tourists that come for the local caves and rock formations to explore. Stayed at a local hotel and came on recommendation of people local to the area, as the hotel we were staying at did not have an open lounge on Sunday nights. It was crammed busy, but were able to get in by sitting with a local couple who agreed to share a table with us in exchange for us buying drinks. We shared an appetizer platter, which seemed greasy and cold, but tasted well enough to eat. We all ordered burgers and fries. Mine came without cheese and was sent back and returned quickly. The burgers were all overcooked and dry, but it had been about an hour since we ordered, so we were all ready to eat. The add-ons were all fresh and the buns were lightly grilled. The drinks were not cheap or well-poured. The waitress was young and seemed overwhelmed, but gave back a bad attitude to a man who complained about his check, so we didn't say anything. She was really busy with her phone after that, so we gave the couple we were with our balance of the meal in cash ($70 with drinks and tip) and went back to the hotel. I've never in my life been to a chilies. Well my husband and I went today. The female bartender, Desie, Denise, I can't remember was terrific. However, I ordered ff and they were really old and cold. I didn't complain because my salad was worse, with slimy black molded salad greens. I ate the fries because I was famished and returned the salad for a veggie quesadilla. That was good. Picked up curbside. Arrived early but somehow the potato soup was still ice cold. Not warm, not cool, ice cold. Yall aren't even trying any more. The cajun chicken pasta was room temperature. The chicken was white. Like copy paper white. No seasoning. None. To say it was bland would be an insult to bland foods. This was the most unappetizing looking meal. Shelby was our excellent and attentive server. The service was fast, hot and delicious. I did the 3 for $13.99 deal because I could get the margarita for $2.50 more. Yes please! So my 3 were a margarita, the side salad, crispy strips and french fries. It was perfect. My husband ordered the $10.99 deal which was a beer, the soup and the chicken sandwich with french fries. This place should be embarrassed, ashamed, just everything that comes with those two words. Was waiting for nachos to finish for the order to be complete and then they come out looking burnt and I bite into it and they're ice cold. Pasta is absolutely F****** TRASH!! Chips and salsa was about a quarter of the way filled up. I can't believe this place is still in operation. If I were the manager, I would do what I could to find competent staff. I asked to speak to a manger and was told manager couldn't see me. I asked for a discount for having to wait so long. I was told they could do 10%.
