The service was great. Between the server, I believe her name was Elizabeth, and the rest of the staff. I was very impressed. Our waitress was great at her job. Drinks never got low, table was always free of dishes we were done with, any questions answered. I was glad we got her! I've had other waitresses before here, although it's been years, who were very indifferent to their table. This one really put effort forward, and she seemed to enjoy her job! She was good with my chatty daughter, too. That's always a plus. She made sure to put her order in quickly so she didn't get cranky. The rest of the staff- even down to the bartender. They were running each other's food and checking on tables. Huge team effort. It was nice to see, and not one of them seem irritated or bothered. Not knocking prior staff, but before I've came (years prior) and everyone was miserable. Not now. These girls and guys really knocked it out of the park. There was another waitress who's section was close to ours, who also made sure to check on us and make sure we were taken care of. That was thoughtful, and really made the experience better. The food was good and came out hot. There was little wait for it, and you can tell it wasn't sitting under a heating lamp or anything. It took 15 minutes to get our drinks and another 45 to get our lunch. The food was mediocre but the service was pure crap. I guess if you are going to suck, suck as much as you can. The server acted as though we were disturbing her. She could only bring one thing to the table at a time, like one glass of water when all 6 of us wanted water. Took her 4 trips to deliver our water. I asked for corn tortillas and she told me they didn't have those. I asked her to check and when the food finally came out, she tossed a box of corn tortillas at me and said, "We do have those", about as annoyed as possible. I have eaten here for years now, but this year I can't get an order right. We have had to take back an order 2 times and this last order was a burnt burger ( I ordered pink). It had wilted lettuce, no cheese that was suppose to come on the burger. The fries tasted old. I will NOT eat here until things change for the better. They need a NEW CHEF!!! The food was actually good I asked for extra green onions and they loaded me up like crazy still ate everything, but seemed like the chef got happy or the bartender went to the chef and told them to load it up extra on purpose, also came in by myself to have a beer and chat then the bartender seemed more interested into pouring her coworkers shots and talking about what dresses they bought than into her customers, still tipped well over 25%, but would of liked if the bartender spent more time talking to her guests rather than workers who sit at the booth right next to the bar. read more

Service here tends to be slow even if it's not busy. The food is what you'll find at any Chili's. I like their menu options as most of it has great flavor and there are plenty of pictures in the menu which I like. I ordered a sirloin steak there as medium rare and it was very rare. I have ordered to go before. If you do that, check your food as my order was VERY wrong and I had placed the order using their online system. They have you pay the bill now at these kiosk devices which is convenient so you don't have to wait for the waiter to bring the check if you don't want to. This somewhat takes away from the experience and I feel like I'm doing the work for the staff. Not the best place but for Angleton, there's not many choices. read more

This is a typical chain restaraunt. They don't do anything great but you can go to any Chilis and get the same mediocre food. I ordered the lunch special with chicken enchilada soup and a double burger. I honestly don't know how you can screw up a burger but this place does it every time! Always over cooked hockey puck that's way too salty! I ask for a rare burger but they tell me they have to cook it to medium. Their medium is well done! We rarely eat here because across the street is an independently owned establishment with far better food. I wanted to go there but the wife said Chilis. My husband and I had to go to Angleton for business and decided to have lunch at Chili's. He ordered a burger and found it okay. I ordered tacos - when they arrived at the table the food was cold! Needless to say, I rather enjoy my tacos warm. But what I found somewhat strange - or better not good business behavior - was that Chili's charges their customers $ 1.99 for using the little table monitor!!! I couldn't believed that. Especially because the waitress didn't mentioned that when we asked about the meaning for it (not being in a Chili's restaurant for a very long time, obviously) nor does the monitor give you a hint once you start using it. I've been eating here about once or twice a month for the last few years. Service is usually poor at best. I've had to wait up to 15 minutes just to place a drink order numerous times. Once I ordered a 10oz sirloin and was actually served the 6oz. After about 5 minutes of wondering if I was served the right size steak or not, I asked our waitress. Her response? She stated," yes, I noticed that. I was going to ask you if you wanted me to bring another 4oz of steak or if you just wanted to be billed for the 6oz sirloin." She passed our table about 4 times before I mentioned it and at no time did she look concerned about my order being wrong. I have no doubt I was going to be billed for the 10oz steak if I didn't bring it up. If you order to go, Beware. Last night my wife and I made an internet order and I went to pick it up. My wife had ordered the Quesadilla Explosion Salad. You know, the one with the chicken breast in it. Well, I didn't open everything and check the order. I drove 15 minutes back home, she opened the box and yep, not one single piece of chicken in it. I drove the 15 back to Chilis, then stood in the to go line for another 10 minutes. As I stood there I watched a lady in front of me do the intelligent thing and check her order when they gave it to her. It was completely jacked up. This is the worst Chili's I've ever been to. Service is slow and it's pretty consistently bad. I've been here a couple times to eat and it sucked.... Normally, service is great at this Chili's restaurant, however, Sunday, May 5th was a totally different experience. The waitress, Emilie, didn't smile at any point nor did she even make eye contact with either one of us at the table. She would turn her back and put the food/drink on the table. We watched to see if it was "just us", however, she did the same thing to other guests. This was sad because it's normally wonderful service. In Angleton, Texas, there's not a overwhelming restaurant selection. Chili's is one of the "nicest" restaurants in the area. We frequent the restaurant often and the experience has always been good. However, the experience that occurred on March 27, 2014 was completely different than usual. ***I wasn't the good person in this situation and I know it. I was NOT in a good mood as I had one of the most horrible days I've had in over 5 years. I wasn't feeling 100%, in a lot of pain, and extremely stressed. I was incredibly bitchy, picky, and stern in my speaking. I was not being kind very much at all this evening. When I stated what I wanted, I tended to end the statement with "ensure that's done exactly as I just said". I should've just gone home vs. going out to dinner. ***Arrived around 5:30 PM - Party of 2 - Waited several minutes for a very slow-moving hostess to WADDLE her way to greet us. Then, upon approaching us, she sighed heavily and said, "party of 2?". ***Got to booth and I had to ask for napkins to wipe off food particles and liquid from the booth seat. When I asked for the napkins, the VERY young waitress stated very rudely, "We use sanitizer to clean the seats". I responded with, "This isn't sanitizer! Large food particles and a puddle of liquid isn't sanitizer!" ***Waitress Description: She couldn't have had more than a few months experience - at the most! She was leaning one hand & arm on the back of the booth seat, one foot placed on the lower part of the opposite leg, and head cocked to the side. ***We ordered drinks and appetizers. Received them. All was fine in this aspect. ***Stance of waitress upon asking for dinner order: Leaning one hand/arm on the back of the booth, one food placed on the lower part of the opposite leg, and head cocked to the side, staring out to space .. AGAIN! She appeared to be disinterested and just dying to get away from the table. I ordered a sirloin filet dinner. Requested to have no type of sauces or butters on the steak, medium well, and ensure that the broccoli was hot when delivered. She asked me what I meant by "hot". Really? Ensure the food is hot coming out of the kitchen!! ***Received a piece of meat that was about 2 1/2" thick.. I knew immediately that it wasn't a sirloin!! I cut it on the edge to check doneness before I would let the waitress leave the table. It was extremely rare with blood running out. I then asked for a correct steak to be cooked, medium well and butterflied. ***When I returned the steak due to the facts that it wasn't a sirloin and it wasn't cooked correctly, the waitress made a very snotty manager approach the table. The manager had a horrible attitude. She was obnoxious and - with her hand one hip and the "returned steak" plate dinner in the other - explained that the steak would be re-cooked and that the steaks do not get butterflied, along with the fact that the waitress didn't understood what I asked for. I replied with, "I'm not an idiot. I've worked in the food arena and understand what I asked for.. which is NOT something crazy in the restaurant arena! The waitress should know exactly what a butterflied piece of meat is! Also, if I want my filet Mignon butterflied, then that's exactly how it will be cooked. Per the my request. This is not the 1st time I've received a butterflied filet. I also do NOT want the steak in your hand "recooked" as it's the wrong steak to begin with." She said a new filet would be cooked - to my spec's. At this point, I was about to "loose it" completely so I left the restaurant and waited for my partner to come out with the correct order and bill paid for. This was the worst experience I've ever had at the Angleton's Chili's. The restaurant wasn't clean, wasn't busy, the waitress was clueless and rude, and the manager was just a plain snot. As a manager, she should've been a lot more professional with me.. no matter what my attitude was to her. I was not loud in this entire situation, however, I guess I should have been. I would've matched the manager's stance, attitude, and loudness. This is probably the last time I'll willingly give any of my money to that Chili's. read more
