    Fajitas

Got the fajitas- no salt & very bland with no flavor whatsoever just tasted slightly burnt. Do not recommend the fajitas maybe something else would have some seasonings added. Food is quite mid to be honest, I got a chicken & shrimp burrito the prior day and about the same thing no seasoning on it. I can't say much for the service or ambiance since I didn't go to pick up the order. Personally I've only eaten here 1-3 times now for good reason.

July 4th looking for an open restaurant, preferably Mexican. Stumbled across Chile Rojo. Food, service and atmosphere all excellent! We will definitely go back when in the area.

After a long day of wedding planning, we worked up a serious appetite for Mexican food and a margarita. Chile Rojo had almost 5 stars on Yelp so we went in with high expectations! But let me just tell you, our experience was far from 5 stars. The choriqueso was just ok. The skinny margaritas were fine. The happy chicken was really good and I wish I had ordered that instead of the chicken fajitas. The fajita skillet was good but the side plate of fajita salad was so sloppy. There were dry/crusty pieces of refried beans on the side of the plate which made me think the plate had been sitting under a warmer for a while. Trevor ordered a dish that was listed to include zucchini, broccoli, and other veggies with chicken inside a pineapple. First, the waiter brought out a plate of alfredo pasta (not at all what he ordered). So, he spoke up and repeated what he ordered originally. About 10 minutes later, they brought out a dish with just chicken/pineapple. No veggies at all. So we grabbed a menu to confirm what he had actually ordered and realized the waiter got it wrong again. Instead of apologizing, the waiter showed us the receipt which made it obvious that the waiter keyed the order in wrong. The food was just average and the service was not good at all. We wanted to go to Mi Casa on Main Street but they were closed on Sunday.

Great service and good food. Looking forward to another visit. Waitress was kind and went over and above. Truly appreciated!!

Mexican food is what was located across the street from our Comfort Inn, and we walked over for a later dinner (7:30) after driving seven hours from our home. I've been to New Mexico and Texas for Mexican food, so we know what to expect. We had warm chips and salsa to start. I ordered the taco salad and a Chile rellano, and hubby had the steak and chicken fajitas. Everything was very good - but I couldn't finish the chili rellano. An extra two tortillas for the fajitas would have been helpful - only two small ones were received.

I was in town visiting family, and I wanted to get Margaritas and Mexican food. My brother said that this place has the Best Margaritas in town. I have to say he is not wrong had a couple of different margaritas, and they were all good. The service was excellent. We had around 12 People. They took care of us like we were Rocks stars and the food was outstanding. all and all I had a very positive experience coming here. great food.

Today was my first time eating at this restaurant. I felt it offered a very nice atmosphere and the restaurant appeared to be very clean, which is always the first thing I notice. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. They have a very good menu selection. She brought out a large basket of chips and salsa. The salsa was good. It was a little more chunky and spicy than expected but I enjoyed it. For lunch I ordered the Carne Asada. It came with cactus salad, which I had never tasted. It looked interesting but I didn't care for it...just my personal taste...too spicy for me. My husband ordered the Chimichanga Combo. He didn't care for the flavor so half way through we switched plates. I actually liked the chimichanga even though the taste was slightly different from what we are used to. He ordered flan for dessert and said it was okay. I really liked their iced tea. I realize that is something that can be taken for granted but I'm picky about my tea. It tasted really fresh making me question if they make it with filtered water. It was brewed the perfect amount of time for my taste. Now, let's talk potty. I despise using a public restroom and try to avoid doing so, however sometimes it's just a necessity. The ladies room was clean but lacked tissue. Fortunately I always carry some in my purse since my mother taught me well. The disinfectant they hang in the bowl was overwhelming. I actually gagged several times and wondered if my lunch was going to stay behind or come along with me. Fortunately, we were able to stay together. I'm not sure if we will return but it's a lovely restaurant and would be worth a try.

We had high hopes after eating the cheese dip and salsa. The cheese dip was the perfect consistency and had just enough kick to keep you going back for more. The salsa was ice cold and had a good flavor. Unfortunately that's where the meal peaked. We ordered the chicken California burrito and fajitas with chicken and shrimp. Both were devoid of flavor and definitely not fresh. The California burrito was lukewarm at best, the chicken within it was dry beyond recognition, and there were no vegetables to be found. The chicken and shrimp fajitas were hot and bland. The fajita sides (rice, beans, lettuce, guacamole) were absolutely terrible. The guacamole was brown which suggests that it had been made previously and sat out for a while. The rice and beans tasted like an ashtray so that was very concerning. The entire meal was underwhelming and disappointing after a strong start with the cheese dip and salsa.

Good food at a decent price. They have the same traditional Tex/mex everyone else does, but the CCP is especially good.
