Wow! Just Wow! The Best! Louis, the Magician, entertained our swim club for a fun Magic Show and Ice Cream Party. He was very flexible in working with us to get the perfect spot at the club for the show and waiting a few extra minutes for all of the kids to get their ice cream. He even happily accommodated what we thought would be 50 kids that turned into 71! Then the show began! The kids were mesmerized- absolutely enthralled! It was very interactive and all of the kids participated. The show was extremely humorous for both kids and adults. Everyone was laughing and enjoying this fabulous show! The whole experience with Louis the Magician and ChildTime Magic, from initial coordination through the end of the event, was fantastic. Our initial request for information on availability and options was responded to in no time. Leading up to the event any questions we had were addressed in a timely manner. The team at ChildTime Magic gave very clear direction on the amount of space needed, and any other details to assist with making the performance run smoothly. From the beginning of the performance through the very end Louis the Magician had the kids' (and adults') attention. His routine has the kids engaged, and actively participating throughout. Our normally shy 5-year old birthday girl was super excited to give Louis a hand as his assistant with one of the tricks. WORST Customer service experience!!! Recommend you do not book! Louis was very disrespectful and was not accommodating at all. We had booked Louis in 2 months in advance for our child's birthday party and had a sudden time change. We had been reaching out to confirm the new time and never heard anything back. When we finally called Louis stated that no refunds would be given and put all the blame on us for changing the event time. No where in the contract it stated we would not be given a refund. We were so fortunate to have Louis the Magician for our daughter's 4th birthday party! He was warm, engaging, energetic, and very entertaining for our guests -- both adults and kids alike! He had some fun magic tricks that even I couldn't explain. The kids were mesmerized throughout. The best part was the animals he brought out at the end. My daughter is still telling everyone about the sloth who came to her party. Best of all? We had originally booked another entertainer who suddenly became ill on the day of the party and called in a favor on our behalf from Louis. Louis so kindly raced to our home and did a fabulous, unplanned show that saved our daughter's birthday party. Louis did a great job at my daughters 6th birthday! There were probably 30+ kids and I held the party in a busy and loud space but even with all of that he calmly found a quieter area and received all the kids rapt attention. Louis performed for my nephew's 1st birthday party last Saturday. He was just AWESOME and let me enumerate why: 1. He communicated well. I found him online so I wasn't sure if he'd actually show up but he made me at ease by confirming through email, calling on the day of the party to confirm we're all set, and sending me updates before arriving that everything's on schedule. 2. The kids loved him! They were laughing and eagerly participating all throughout the show. He really has a way with kids. 3. He has a great sense of humor. Yes, the tricks were all cool but I was really impressed by the way he could entertain both kids and adults! He had hilarious jokes that kept the grown-ups laughing! 4. He's a flawless performer. You can tell he's very experienced. He brought plenty of props for his show and there was never a dull moment. 5. He completes the party. He gives out magic trick sets that the kids can take home and makes animal balloons for each of the kids (we had around 15). Because of all this, we didn't have to prepare games or any other activities for the kids. The party was described as "perfect" by some of our guests and I'm sure Louis is one of the reasons why! I hired him for my daughter birthday party, he came to the party hall, he was not even bothered to see the party host, he did not pay much attention to the birthday child, I paid him for the most expensive package they have, he promised on his web site, that he will use professional back drop, he never took time to do the back drop, he promised to give a majic set to birthday child, he never gave, the best part is once i gave him check for the remaining balance, then i cant even see him anywhere, he just sneaked out. I also hired a face painter from them and then she showed up half hour late, she brought so much of stuff for her other party and ended up storing in our party place, we paid 150 for 1 hour, she started late and finished early. Totally it is not a good company to work, it is very expensive and the customer service totally ZERO. read more

My brother in law hired him for his son's birthday party yesterday and Louis was great. Very friendly, engaging, and great with kids. I wouldn't describe him as like a "magician magician" with a cape and all that - he's more of a comedic magician. He does tricks but with this funny spin on them and it's very well executed. What was unexpected though is this guy is absolutely hilarious and had all of us adults in stitches. He has this like upbeat, self-deprecating dry sense of humor when interacting with everyone that was really funny. If you hire this guy make sure that you get all the adults to sit there and watch him as well. read more

I hired a balloon artist for my daughter's 1st birthday in Alexandria. I booked about 2 months out, confirmed all details and we were really looking forward to having the artist come to entertain the kids. The kids were so excited about it. The artist was supposed to arrive at 2 pm, at 2:30 she was still not there. I emailed Louis and he had no idea where she was at. She never showed up and no one even called us to let us know that she would not be able to make it - very unprofessional! We chose ChildTime because of the reviews on here, so it is so unfortunate how much they disappointed us. We will never use this company again. read more

Louis the Magician performed a magic show for my son's 1st birthday on April 9th. He had different packages that were reasonably priced and we chose the ultimate package which included a live animal (dove) and Louis making balloon animals for the kids. It snowed the morning of my son's party but Louis came on time and ready for us. But we were not ready for him. Not ready at all for his hilariously funny, engaging & super entertaining show for all of us. Yes, ALL of us. Including the adults. I was expecting the kids to have fun, and they had a blast! But I was thrilled to see that all the parents and older kids/teens and adults (myself and hubby included) have such a great time as well! Louis performed at my son's 6th birthday and had to entertain children between 3 and 7 years old (and even entertained the adults! We were laughing the whole time!). He was fantastic! From the mundane (he was punctual, courteous, and unobtrusive to my little guy's birthday party when done) to the artistic (great magic, funny dry humor for the adults, and completely engaging with the children) he was an A+. This was our son's best birthday yet and it was in large part to Louis. One additional thing that sets him apart from other magicians is that he uses a live animal in a trick. Unfortunately, Louis the magician was a great disappointment. One expects the best for our kids, I really regret having hired him our daughter's tenth birthday, and paid for the ultimate package - US$400. Louis forgot to bring one of this props, refused to set up the backdrop (no refund) and did six tricks, most of them really lame (such as the disappearing color books you can buy in Barnes & Noble). His jokes were cynical to the adults and lame to the kids. Louis was having a bad day or really does not like what he does. He appeared not to like kids all that much. I wish he did not put loving parents through the disappointment of having their kids and friends see this sad show. read more
