Based on what she reported to us, the environment felt unwelcoming and hostile. One staff member became visibly emotional when our daughter was hired, which created an uncomfortable and inappropriate situation. There were also serious concerns about unequal treatment and behavior that appeared discriminatory. Additionally, our daughter shared troubling reports about how some children--particularly students from veteran families--were treated, which raised further concerns about the school's culture and leadership. As parents, we expect any school to uphold basic standards of respect, fairness, and professionalism. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here. We cannot recommend this school to other families.

We love the variety of their education and how they move from classroom to classroom. We love Make Believe Boulevard (an indoor mini city where the kids can use their imagination to play, complete with a slide and ball pit), that Spanish is taught, they do learning bags on Fridays that the kids share an item of what they learned that week and hands down we both love the interactive LEAP Digital board and corresponding LEAP books. The teachers are amazing, very hands on and compassionate. Jelena and Liz in Toddler 2 class, our 2.5 year old absolutely adores. When we first started, we expressed how we wanted our then 2.5 year old potty trained, and within 1 week after attending there, she was. They were so patient and kind with the potty training our daughter took right to it. Corrie in the Pre-K class is so friendly and patient with the kids. Our 5 year old always came home with new songs or ideas she learned from Ms. Corrie. We were so impressed and just love all the staff there: Denise, Amanda, and Samantha at the front are super friendly and do whatever they can to accommodate your family (our youngest is in speech therapy). There are so many great things about this school and the wonderful teachers I would highly recommend this daycare to anyone looking for quality care for your kids.

There has been great staff retention in an industry where I can only imagine that is difficult to achieve. There have been several staff there taking care of him since he was an infant, and the relationship that they have developed is amazing. I appreciate the Montessori principles, admittedly we chose the school based on proximity to home but the curriculum has been excellent. Any time there has been an issue, staff have handled it timely and professionally. We are even considering keeping him in the program for Kindergarten before we send him off to public school. They frequently allow children to paint with non-washable paints (4 shirts and 1 pair of pants have been ruined), children are allowed to cut other students' shirts with scissors (1 shirt has been ruined), and they lose my child's belongings all the time (2 shirts, 1 pair of shorts, a pair of mittens, and 1 brand-new book that they requested we bring). When asked about the missing or ruined items, the teacher refuses to take responsibility for what goes on in her classroom, and the director doesn't hold the teacher accountable. Each and every newsletter they send out is filled with spelling and grammatical errors. They insist that the newsletter be in an attachment to the email, but they forget to attach it about 75% of the time, meaning your inbox will frequently be cluttered with several emails a day from this Montessori. You are required to bring snacks for 20 children at least once a month, as they are unwilling to provide them. The snacks they request are frequently out-of-season and very expensive berries and fresh-cut flowers. If your child attends for a full day, you are responsible for providing his or her lunch, or spending $4.00/day to have the meal catered. Again, this facility refuses to provide food for your child.

I was left in a bit of a pickle when the day care we had been using for several years advised us…read morethat they would be discontinuing their school age program and we had just 2 months to find summer care for my 1st grader. First off, calling ANY La Petite is ridiculous. They answer the phone with a cheery song which threw my off guard, and they will always tell you they have availability at all the locations regardless of if they do or not. I scheduled an appointment for the Thornton location, the director called later on to cancel the tour and I asked if they did had availability and she said no. I said the call center stated they did, she says "yeah, they always say that". So I moved on to the next closest location, Broomfield. This time I bypassed the call center and found the center number and called them directly. I spoke with Kim, the director and scheduled an appointment, she stated that she prefers people to schedule tours with her anyway rather than call the center. I asked if she had availability over the phone and she confirmed that there was space available for the summer program. I show up for my tour a bit early and the assistant director was able to show me around, the day care itself seemed clean and very nice. Kim showed up and seemed confused, she asked if I had scheduled a tour with the call center. I reminded her that I called and talked to her directly. She seemed to just brush that off and move on. She gave me costs and when I again confirmed availability the answer was different now. "We'll, I have to see, I have some families that might go on vacation and are supposed to get back to me and I'm not sure" I was prepared to pay the fees to hold a spot but she really was unable to give a strait answer about anything and told me she was going to follow up with some of the families that day and get back with me by the end of the week. End of the week, no call. I called the following week I believe on Monday and left a voicemail, no call back. I called again on Wednesday and spoke with Kim, she still had absolutely no idea if they would have space in their summer program but told me she would get back with me again before the end of the week. Do you think I got a call back? If I did I wouldn't be leaving this review. I did not call back and never heard a single word back from Kim. She clearly did not care what so ever and I wish she would have just said so the first time I called so I didn't waste time out of my morning to tour the day care when she had no interest or intention of enrolling my daughter. Maybe the day care is nice. I added one star just because the assistant director was nice and the day care seemed nice. Otherwise I would just give one star for the poor communication and poor professionalism of the director.

We recently enrolled our toddler into the Bright Horizons Montessori at Interlocken and are super…read morehappy with everything about the care: the facility is bright and clean; the staff is friendly and helpful; and the teachers are caring. They are super communicative via the Bright Day app, email and in person. If I could change a couple things, I wish they were open just 30 minutes longer in the evening. And I would love if they provided meals (no Bright Horizons seem to do this, but other similar care centers do). Will update this post should anything change along the way, as we're just a couple of weeks in.

I had a terrible experience, and was promised a refund by the Director Kathleen Winters after she…read moretold me to find other care. As for specifics, this center is the most disorganized and rude place of business I have ever encountered. I was so excited to have my son start there and tried to be proactive every step of the way. They didn't send me a bill until June 4th to pay, even though I was told that all payments are due on the 1st and he may lose his spot if not paid on time. Despite me stopping by and personally trying to make a payment on the 1st, no one was able to help me and the director did not call me back after I left a message. When I went to drop off my 2 year old son on June 4th for the first time, neither the front desk, nor the teacher in the classroom knew of him nor expected him. The teacher told me to "just leave him", despite not knowing anything about him, his medical history, allergies, or even introducing herself for that matter. I filled out and submitted everything but the shot records/physical (which I had with me at drop off), so how is it possible that the teachers are not even aware of a new child starting? I let the teacher know of my son's reflux issues, including instructions not to provide juice or similar acidic foods, and to please pass the information onto the afternoon teachers. I informed them that I've filled out a list of foods NOT to give him. Later in the afternoon, they fed my son apple sauce, which was specifically on the list that I provided and no one bothered to read. That day they took my son with no shot records, not signed in, and I wasn't even given a code for pick up. I left another message for the director to please call me. As you can guess, I did not receive a call. Instead, I received a message AT WORK, from another parent. The director had given out my personal and employment information for other parents to contact me. Then she emailed me the code for the door without calling to check on my concerns. When I went by to pick up my son in the afternoon, I again asked her if she could spare a minute to talk. She walked past me and said "I don't have time, if you want to talk to me in the afternoon you need to schedule an appointment". The following morning I finally got to talk to the director, who was extremely rude and unsympathetic. Apparently 20 other children started recently, so that's why the teachers had no information on my son. She works 11 hour days, so she's just too busy to address parent's concerns. And after I complained about her giving out my personal and employment information, she simply stood up, told me she's issuing a refund and to find other care. I have found other care, and would be perfectly happy to never deal with Kathleen again. However, the promised refund is nowhere to be found.
