We met with Denise and Amanda and we were so impressed with the facility, we signed our kids up right then and there. We love the variety of their education and how they move from classroom to classroom. We love Make Believe Boulevard (an indoor mini city where the kids can use their imagination to play, complete with a slide and ball pit), that Spanish is taught, they do learning bags on Fridays that the kids share an item of what they learned that week and hands down we both love the interactive LEAP Digital board and corresponding LEAP books. The teachers are amazing, very hands on and compassionate. Jelena and Liz in Toddler 2 class, our 2.5 year old absolutely adores. When we first started, we expressed how we wanted our then 2.5 year old potty trained, and within 1 week after attending there, she was. They were so patient and kind with the potty training our daughter took right to it. Corrie in the Pre-K class is so friendly and patient with the kids. Our 5 year old always came home with new songs or ideas she learned from Ms. Corrie. We were so impressed and just love all the staff there: Denise, Amanda, and Samantha at the front are super friendly and do whatever they can to accommodate your family (our youngest is in speech therapy). There are so many great things about this school and the wonderful teachers I would highly recommend this daycare to anyone looking for quality care for your kids.

Ms. Jessica, Erin and Heather greeted our daughter by name every single morning and every afternoon when she walked out the door. They also knew our son by name and asked him how school was going every time he came to pick up his sister. That kind of consistent, genuine warmth is not something you take for granted as a parent. We were lucky enough to have Ms. Belinda for both kids, and she was simply the best. When our daughter said Ms. Belinda was her favorite teacher, she meant it with her whole heart. That kind of bond between a teacher and a child is rare, and we will always be grateful for it. I want to be clear that I am calling out these four by name because of the outsized impact they had on our kids, not because everyone else fell short. In six-plus years, we never once had a negative experience with a single person on that staff. That consistency, across that many years and two children, is extraordinary. If we had more kids, they would be going to Little Sunshine's. No question.

After that, we received no communication for 14 months. When we finally reached out, Little Sunshine reneged on their promise of part-time care and had no opening available as originally assured. When we asked for a refund (given that we paid the fee based on inaccurate information) we were told the fee is non-refundable, even though staff acknowledged that multiple families have expressed similar frustrations about misleading waitlist practices. We were promised a follow-up from a higher-up, but no one ever called. In our view, the $350 waitlist fee was paid under deceptive and misleading circumstances, and the lack of communication and accountability has been very disappointing.

Ms. Kayla has been particularly amazing. She has been with our daughter in the explorer classroom since we started and has been a true partner to us in our child's development. If we ever are having a challenge at home, we know we can bring it to the teachers at GHM and they'll help reinforce our parenting efforts in the classroom as well. The administrative team is hands on (yay for Jesse, Alyscia, and Jessica!) and so welcoming and kind. I regularly see them in classroom and getting g involved with the kids and as teacher support. Love to see it. 2) GHM strives to foster community amongst parents and families at the school. There are dad's nights, mom's nights, family barbecues and more! I have had the chance to get to know most of the parents of the kids in my daughter's classroom, which is awesome. 3) Parent teacher conferences are regularly scheduled and the staff comes prepared with detailed notes on your child's development and milestones. You can really have a collaborative discussion about your child and their needs! It felt really lovely to hear their perspective because they were so detailed and thoughtful in their assessment. 4) Look, all schools are dealing with staffing shortages, but we have had far less of an issue with this at GHM than we did at our last school. Our daughters teachers have been very consistent and in the event of staff turnover, Jesse, Alyscia and Jessica will do everything in their power to keep the school open - we've never had a school closure due to short staffing -- at our last school this was a regular occurrence. 5) We love that the school takes care of breakfast, lunch and snacks for the kids! Balanced meals, and such a relief to not have to do this at home every night. Helps free up the time we have at home with our daughter for play and connection! The neglect of my son not being given water or having sun block put on him by the director of the center while she was in preschool filling in for the lack of consistent teachers and chaos in preschool as is.. Coming home with his underwear having serious skid marks from the teachers not caring for his proper hygene, to his paints and underwear being backwards and shoes on the wrong feet. When I tried to tell the teacher she raised her voice to talk over me and interrupt me to tell me " Well he did that" before I was able to voice my other concerns, veing please wipe his butt better next time and clothes on properly. I thought teachers are supposed to teach the kids how to do things the right way and stand for GHM own "Morals and standards" what a joke. He hires woman is mini shirts and people who have no experience becaude he is desperate for the fill in. No wonder with the way he treats and represents people internally. It looks sparkly on the outside until you get your child in and your family in then you realize it is nothing but terrible communication, an owner out for money and a director who doesnt support her teachers or get out of her chair. Then I got a phone call, not the decency of a face to face conversation by the owner Jesse being told I screamed in the classroom, an over reaction, he nor his teachers cared to listen to my concerns. This is just one exampke of many. There is a new teacher there every week and they don't last for for then a couple weeks if that. I have called state and jeffco for child neglect a few weeks ago and will do so again. The countless teachers that come through this center is unreal. Eight teachers I counted in April and the list goes on. Your child will not have consistent teachers or care. Preschool is out of control as I have had a sub teacher tell me how the director thinks that yelling and screaming gets 3 years to listen and they feel inadiquite and uncomfortable there because they feel it a lost cause. If you want true care for your child and genuine "Vetran Buisness owners" who care about the true well being, BEWARE. Take your money elsewhere as you will be highly disappointed. She starts her day excited and comes home just as cheerful. It amazes me to see how much she has learned--counting to ten, reciting the alphabet, singing tons of full songs--and I know these milestones are a direct reflection of the amazing teaching and support she receives from the staff. My child loved her first year here, didn't struggle with goodbyes until she moved into this classroom and she would not want me to leave, one of the teachers walked up and grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her to the other side of the classroom telling her it's time to be at school and made her cry even more. If I could have missed work that day I would have. I do not feel children are safe in that classroom. He never once getting down on her level to try to make her feel comfortable or offer any sort of empathy. She told me she was scared to go every day. My last straw was when my child told me that another kid followed them into the bathroom and touched their private parts. They told the teacher and not only did I NOT get a call from the teachers, and NOT get an an incident report, they told me my child made it up. The office staff was absolutely useless, first claiming to "investigate" which just meant I had to follow up with them for any answer. They said it never happened. One of my child's teachers told my child in front of me that they made it up and that never happened. I had to demand my child was switched to another class room. I do not recommend. My child is still upset about getting touched inappropriately and I hate that it was met with absolutely no support.

I was left in a bit of a pickle when the day care we had been using for several years advised us…read morethat they would be discontinuing their school age program and we had just 2 months to find summer care for my 1st grader. First off, calling ANY La Petite is ridiculous. They answer the phone with a cheery song which threw my off guard, and they will always tell you they have availability at all the locations regardless of if they do or not. I scheduled an appointment for the Thornton location, the director called later on to cancel the tour and I asked if they did had availability and she said no. I said the call center stated they did, she says "yeah, they always say that". So I moved on to the next closest location, Broomfield. This time I bypassed the call center and found the center number and called them directly. I spoke with Kim, the director and scheduled an appointment, she stated that she prefers people to schedule tours with her anyway rather than call the center. I asked if she had availability over the phone and she confirmed that there was space available for the summer program. I show up for my tour a bit early and the assistant director was able to show me around, the day care itself seemed clean and very nice. Kim showed up and seemed confused, she asked if I had scheduled a tour with the call center. I reminded her that I called and talked to her directly. She seemed to just brush that off and move on. She gave me costs and when I again confirmed availability the answer was different now. "We'll, I have to see, I have some families that might go on vacation and are supposed to get back to me and I'm not sure" I was prepared to pay the fees to hold a spot but she really was unable to give a strait answer about anything and told me she was going to follow up with some of the families that day and get back with me by the end of the week. End of the week, no call. I called the following week I believe on Monday and left a voicemail, no call back. I called again on Wednesday and spoke with Kim, she still had absolutely no idea if they would have space in their summer program but told me she would get back with me again before the end of the week. Do you think I got a call back? If I did I wouldn't be leaving this review. I did not call back and never heard a single word back from Kim. She clearly did not care what so ever and I wish she would have just said so the first time I called so I didn't waste time out of my morning to tour the day care when she had no interest or intention of enrolling my daughter. Maybe the day care is nice. I added one star just because the assistant director was nice and the day care seemed nice. Otherwise I would just give one star for the poor communication and poor professionalism of the director.
