So the key is to stick to speaking to the staff, not whoever their calls get transferred to. Tip: when their call center answers the phone, ask them to transfer you directly to the staff in Tracy. I don't waste my time speaking to anyone that picks up from their call center. Don't let them try to talk you out of it, keep requesting to get transferred.

They are very kind, gentle, and understanding. Dr.Razi took her time to explain the procedure to me and my son. They do use a papoose board, which made me a bit apprehensive but Arah did an amazing job making my son feel comfortable and it didn't bother him at all. Fair enough my son is 7, surely that doesn't have to do with a child that can listen and follow directions. After x rays and a short exam Dr. Razi decided his two small cavities are now, in the matter of days, so deep they are to his root and he needs silver caps. She likes to use pictures FYI. And she stated they WILL be using the board to strap my claustrophobic SEVEN year old son down to and if he is doing good "they will release one arm". As far as I'm reading on the American Academy of Dentistry's website the board is used as last resort not first. I left there terrified for my son who is asking me a million questions about what she was saying. I ended up booking the first appointment our regular dentist had once he was back in town for a third opinion. After another round of X-rays he reassured me they were two small cavities on baby teeth that had the adult teeth close under and would be falling out in a year or two and is being treated with two fillings, no sedation.....NO PAPOOSE BOARD. They tell them everything they're doing before they do it, they show them any tools they're going to use before using them. My 6 yr old used to sob at dentist appointments because she was nervous. She just had 2 cavities filled this morning with Dr Nakamura and I honestly couldn't imagine having a dental appointment go any better. The staff hates their jobs as they are rude and can only make appointments. Management cannot submit a simple insurance claim for a kids braces. My daughter took x-rays twice, impressions twice and both times the insurance company sent me a letter stating the claim was submitted incomplete by Western Dental. What a complete let down! They bill for as many services possible to the insurance company such as X-rays without delivering the end product to their patients. Great business model where you bill, bill, bill and give your customers nothing. A total scam!!!! In regard to the response below from management, a perfect example of lip service with no follow through on communication. I'm still waiting on follow up. So funny how sketch this business is. Now that I work AND live in Modesto, I still have no plans to leaving VCARE. I've been going to Dr. Kaur for close to two years now. Other dentists that were rated highly in Modesto are baloney reviews. You never see the dentist in those places. You're treated wonderfully as a new patient but after that it's like a McDonald's to get you through your appointment then schedule the next appointment. Long story short, I found VCARE and Dr. Kaur is an excellent doctor. She has great bedside manners, is very knowledgeable and even completes my teeth cleanings herself. For years, I've been thinking of doing Invisalign and she sold me. Other dentists never made me comfortable with the expenses and the change of lifestyle, but Dr. Kaur did. I'm a third of the way through now and it's easy breezy. So, yes, I drive from Modesto to Tracy to see my dentist; but this office is so well worth it. Janet at the front desk is also amazing, she's soooooooooooooo friendly and knowledgeable. She even communicates through text. If you're looking for a dentist, you will not regret going here!
