yoga 4 classrooms, otherwise known as 'Y4C,' is a sustainable program where it focuses on social, emotional, and attentional self-regulation within the classrooms using yogic practices. It can be used for K-8th grade students, but can be adapted to a specific age-/grade-level. You can sign up for their staff development workshop, a classroom residency, offer parent education, and, if you're interested, hold on-site yoga sessions for adults at your school. The program has a curriculum where it offers a variety of yoga postures, brain-boosting movements, breath exercises, visualizations, mindfulness activities, community-building games, and health wellness. Our school had a PD and it was interesting how easy it can be to incorporate some of the techniques within the classroom as a warm-up activity or a 'stress relief' for both the educator and the students, especially before test-taking. You receive an activity card deck where it's color-coded by category, easy-to-follow instructions, and can be displayed within the classroom. An interesting program to implement if your school has the budget :D
