I got the garlic shrimp and noodles and it's so good. It comes with a sauce on the side that is amazing. The portions for $17 are also insane. The plate is huge and could last you at least two meals. Don't come here if you can't do the long wait for amazing food. Beef skewers 3.8/5, good but nothing to brag home about or drive out the way for. Garlic noodles 2/5, overcooked soggy noodles w/ fake butter and garlic, not worth the calories or carb consumption. Shrimp 3.5/5, hot and crispy, crack sauce was mid. Needed more lime. 2 bites and was done. Gave it to a homeless person nearby. Service - Friendly. Wait time was 25-30 min. They need to revamp their menu/food photos. Pretty bad quality and size. If you park on the side road, they will bring it to your car. Not sure why the wait is long, the only thing piping hot was the shrimp. Everything else was just warm. Ambiance - Mural was beautiful. VERY DIRTY picnic table and benches, loud music, and across the street from the bart station. I had high hopes for this place especially it being family owned, but the influencers must be getting free food or something to hype this up because this was not it. I've heard that pretty much everything else on the menu is equally excellent, but I'm completely addicted to the fish tacos, so I've never managed to order anything else. It's cozy, friendly, and incredibly efficient if you happen to be in a hurry. I honestly couldn't recommend it more highly, or more fondly.

I really enjoyed the creamy orange sauce. $5.75 a taco may seem a bit much, but at least the taco size and quality justifies the price. I also ordered the smaller size of ceviche for $15. It came with 2 large round tortilla chips (not sure what these are called) and a packet of saltine crackers. I feel like a bag of tortilla chips would have gone nicely with the ceviche because I ran out of the 2 large chips and crackers before I finished the ceviche. The ceviche itself was perfect. Their spinach pineapple agua fresca was refreshing and reminded me of those Odwalla green smoothies. You do taste the spinach but it's sweet and tastes good! I got here around 5:40 on a Friday and there was plenty of outdoor seating available, though it did start to fill up the longer I stayed. You can enter on either side of the back of Aloha.

Even when there's a line, the staff keeps things moving, and the food comes out fresh and fast. Okay, it's a taco truck--nothing fancy, but that's part of the charm. Standing outside with your food, soaking in the neighborhood atmosphere, and enjoying authentic Mexican food straight from the grill is exactly the experience you're looking for.

It's cool to charge $15 maybe even $16 tops But $18 is Rape I know my people enough to know that that ain't it. Didn't feel the love in the food. It shouldn't be about the money you charge because you can because you one of the few places in town. Should hold yourself up to a standard regardless of anything. Didn't feel the $18 burrito experience felt more like $12 dollar experience the way the burrito was. I know taste. Anyway the people sometimes judge, give dirty looks or act as if, so manners and kindness and integrity matter so much. People pay you for a service not just food.

I love the idea of Filipino and Middle Eastern eats in one food truck!…read more I used to frequent this yummy food truck/tent when they used to come to the Kaiser Vallejo and Oakland farmers markets pre-pandemic. Their truck/tent was always colorful and inviting with friendly workers. My favorite and go-to was the shawarma wrap, which was huge, flavorful and delicious. I also liked their lumpia as a side dish. I just tried them again at the Spring Brews Fest in Todos Santos Plaza today and had to get my OG chicken shawarma wrap- it's literally been years since I had it. The wait was pretty long but expected at peak hours of the event. Although it was still good with the flavorful chicken, fresh produce, and tasty sauces, the wrap was smaller than I remembered and more expensive by a few bucks. The staff was working pretty hard cranking out all the orders so I gotta give them credit for surviving during the pandemic and economic crisis. The menu has some other tempting items like my people's pancit, adobo - I'll have to try their combos and the shawarma fries next time I see them in town!

This is a local business that I stumbled upon one night when I was highly craving tacos. I love how they still have seating despite the weather, rain or shine. If you're pulling up to this place, you're in luck -- because they have the best taco meats in all of Oakland. Whether you go for al pastor, carne asada, carnitas, or lengua-- they are all generously seasoned and rich, with that juicy, well-browned texture that makes each bite memorable. From what I've heard, Oakland locals often praise the quality and depth of the meats, and you can tell they're working with ingredients that stand up to the hype. The corn tortillas hold up beautifully too, as they were charred, warm at the edges. It's laid-back street food at its best--tacos that hit hard on flavor and make you want to come back for another round. Honestly, I would be coming here to enjoy with minimal fuss, cash in hand, and a big appetite.
