The employees were GREAT! They did their best to provide the recall updates to my car. I'm assuming that all of that is as it's supposed to be. I wasn't having any noticeable issues but went in because Ford told me to. On the other hand , the waiting area left a lot to be desired. It was a cold day outside and it was colder in the waiting area than it was outside. The place needs a serious facelift and winterizing maintenance. There are large gaps around the door and window seal that need attention. Also, several ceiling tiles were damaged or missing. The bathroom was NASTY and also very cold. I am surprised that FORD would allow an establishment that represents their company, operate in that condition. I have never seen a waiting room at any dealership that looked that bad. After talking and texting Ed Smiley about a particular car, and he absolutely knew we had to drive an hour and a half to get there, and we texted the night before and the morning we were leaving to see him, and we MADE SURE to let him know I have extremely bad back pain, we got there to this dealership. Got my oil changed and tire rotation here. I've been going here for about 1year. But unfortunately last time I was here the mechanic forgot to tighten my lug nuts all the way and as I was leaving my truck started shaking driving down the road. I immediately turned around and went back. They actually found the lug nuts in the parking lot as I turned in I'm guessing they finally fell off. Then they cancelled our warranty, received the refund to the dealership, yet it was included on our financing contract. So we are paying for a warranty that was cancelled and they received the money for. They prey on those with bad credit so they can lie and tell you that you need something that you don't have to have for approval. They had to start paying to hide the negative reviews. Oh, how I wish I could go back in time and read the reviews before I visited this junkyard. Everything about this "dealership", if that's even what you want to call it, is a JOKE. We found a truck on AutoTrader that suited everything we needed and immediately contacted a salesperson Aaron. He's mistake number one but we'll get into that in a minute. He gave us the ok and we made the 17 hour drive. Yes, SEVENTEEN HOURS. Thinking we had found the truck of our dreams. We arrive to what quite literally looks like a junkyard, with a broken and dangling Ford street sign. The office was a literal trailer, that was so dirty, filthy, and smelly. It felt like an illegal underground dealership, oh wait it is. We show up exactly on time to our appointment and walk around outside and find the vehicle, which we look at for 10 minutes and not a single salesperson has come out, red flag number two. We go inside and finally get acknowledged by Aaron, who walks out to the vehicle with us. He stands off to the side texting on his phone while we look at the interior of the vehicle. He doesn't chime in and give any facts about the vehicle, ask how we like it, ask if we have any questions. Not a peep. We have to ask him if we can test drive it. In which he gets in the back and immediately starts texting again. We ask him a question and he literally doesn't answer it because he's too locked into his phone. Along the drive we tried to start conversation and he would just laugh and not keep the conversation going. All I could think to myself is what is this place? He takes us on a 2 minute test drive, I'm not exaggerating, and we go back inside. He immediately starts asking me questions that he is putting on a credit application without asking if we even wanted to move forward. We were given an out the door finalized price, in which the manager Jeff tried with all his willpower to change right in front of. I made an appointment approx two months ago, for a transmission (10 speed) recall on my 2020 F550, on the day of my appointment, I was told that they do no longer do transmission recalls, because the "tech" quit the company. I asked why I didn't get a call, as a heads up, but the Service staff said, they didn't know this until this past weekend. I've been in the Maintenace service industry for many years and I have an idea what customer service is and what needs to be done, in situations like this. I just really literally got raped at Chiefland Ford . I got an oil change new spark plugs balanced floor tires and added one quart of rear end grease to the rear end and it cost me $1,039.11 . They charged me nearly $600 to change the spark plugs . They charged $164 to put a quart of oil in the rear end . There's just no sense in this I know prices are expensive but that is ridiculous and then the guy in the service department had the balls to tell me that he figured it would be more than that . On 8/22 I called for an appointment to get 2 rear shocks put on my truck. Talked to Justin and got the appt for the next day at 8 am. 8/23 at 8am gave the keys to Jake and told him to also check the AC, not cooling enough, and the ABS light comes on sometimes. He said the truck would be ready that afternoon or the next day 8/24. Then he called to say that the rear seal in the differential was leaking and should be replaced. Est cost $350.I gave the OK for the fix and he said the truck would be ready on 8/24. Afternoon of 8/24 Justin called and said the bearings in the differential were worn and needed changed. Est cost $750. I asked if they had the parts to fix it and he said yes and the truck would be ready Saturday the 26th. Called Monday 8/28 and was told that they were waiting on parts.??? FOR WHAT?? You said that you had them in stock. Called 8/30. Parts are in and tech is working on it. Called 9/02 and Jake said the tech would be in at 9:00 to finish up. Called 9/05 and Jake said the tech never showed up on Saturday and he was having employee issues. Called 9/08 talked to jake and he said he had a new tech and he was putting the differential together. Called 9/11 and jake tells me he's waiting for a bearing puller to come from Auto Zone in Williston so they can change the bearings. WHAT!!! You said you were finishing up and in reality, You haven't even started!!! 20 days you have had my truck and have done nothing. Called 9/14 Jake said the truck was being put back together and would be ready in the afternoon. 3:50 the same day he called to say they dropped a shim and it broke and they ordered one from NAPA. so, the truck will be ready tomorrow 9/15. Next morning, I show up and they say the part will be in by 11am and they will call me. At 11:45 they call and said NAPA sent the wrong shim and had to reorder. It will be a few days. 9/22 stopped in and Justin said a few more hours and it would be done. We waited for THREE AND A HALF HOURS and he told us that they had to redo one of the seals and he would call. Saturday 9/23 No phone call. Monday 9/25. No phone call Tuesday 9/26 No phone call. Wednesday 9/27 Called and Travis said they were waiting on another part because one highly skilled tech took the differential apart and another highly skilled tech is putting it back together and can't find all the parts. Stopped in on Thursday the 28th and still wasn't done so I told them to have the truck outside the building Friday morning and I would have a tow truck come and get it. Friday morning the 29th of October, 38 days from when I brought the truck to them. I picked it up with the differential and the gears in the back seat and the drive shaft in the bed of the truck. The only thing they fixed was the 2 shocks and my bill was $ 995.17. Out of that $596.00 was labor. For only replacing two shocks and giving me a box of gears and shims that I don't know if they even are for my truck. read more

It all started off with looking at a 2021 F250 it had a full stereo system in it as you can see in photos below they even bragged to us about how nice the stereo was and that they would play it to bring attention to the dealership. I went up to the truck and immediately realized the stereo system had been removed from the truck at there dealership in no attempt to even hide the fact that they had removed it leaving the wires cut underneath the seat and trust me this is only the beginning. I then confronted the manager and told him about the problem he replied with "I don't have any of your f***ing money yet you can leave" and blows cigarette smoke all into my face. We still decided we would buy the truck that they have listed online for $84,000 we then tell them we'd like to negotiate the price since items are missing. They then stacked on all these insane fees pushing the truck over $110,000 which was still no issue I still purchased the truck. Brought it back, for them to tell me it's over $10,000 in parts alone to fix. I know they new of the issue, as he was able to tell me I had a 75% blockage of my DPF system nearly immediately, which does not happen in 90 miles. They also FALSE ADVERTISED, in multiple ways. One of which, they sold me this truck with a 34 gallon tank, however it only has a 26 gallon tank. This truck has costed me so much more money, that I assumed have just bought a new vehicle. So, first off this is not a bash on the sales folks at Chiefland Ford, but more about fraudulent sales practices and bait and switch practices used to lure you into their sales facilities. We were looking for a car for our daughter. We went online and saw a 2014 Subaru, had some miles on it but looked like something she could use. Went on site Friday evening, December 2nd, 2022, to look at the car. Was met by the Finance manager as the sales folks were busy. She was very nice, and she led us to the car. Exterior was decent, but upon further inspection, found engine parts in the back and when I opened the hood, found that the engine had been disassembled and a sticker on the window that this car is not for sale. Now why a dealership would advertise a car for sale with the engine disassembled and a replacement engine sitting on a pallet behind the vehicle is beyond me. So, we continued, my wife mentioned we had seen a VW Eos for $8884 with 98K miles. We looked at the car, took it for a drive...seemed solid enough so we sat down to make a deal. After a few minutes the salesperson comes back with a breakdown of the cost of the car...$9800 now for the car and a $3800 appearance fee. Now they were giving me around a $1000 discount that the salesperson seemed pretty proud of. I stated number one, the price of the car jumped from what was on the web advertisement, and we do not need the "Optional Appearance Fee" which he stated covered Lo-Jack for a year, Paint and rust through protection and a few other things. I stated we do not want or need that on the car. He stated sorry sir but that is NOT optional. So now with tax, tag and license with the added Dealer Fee and "Appearance Fee" the price of a $8884 car is now over $14000 and that is with their $1000 discount. I asked as to why the price advertised for the car was different, the salesperson stated that they have to show low prices so that they can get good placement from the search engines on the internet. Shocked that they would openly admit fraud, I told them this is Bull$^&t and walked out. Funny the next day that VW Eos jumped from $8884 on their website to now $10984. Listen, they say buyer beware and that is no joke. Buy from them as your own peril. I will never buy a car from them. I found a reputable dealer in Crystal River and they were honest and upfront about costs...that dealer has earned all my business and my family's business moving forward. I called to see if I could bring my Raptor in for a small warranty issue. I explained the issues and the service guy basically started yelling at me. While he was spazzing out I was thinking , " Why the hell are you yelling at me?". Really bizarre. He told me to take it back to the last place that worked on it and that they can't do warranty work. When I told him the last place that worked on it was in Texas. He said, "Well I can't look at it for a week and it's going to be $139 an hour". I contacted them because I received an email stating that the dealership price for a new 2021 Ford Escape Hybrid had just dropped $1000 and I was ready to buy. According to their ad, the car would have cost just under 35K including taxes, destination charges and all other gadgets described in the ad. I called them to confirm that price and the answer was: "We will give you the best possible price but cannot do any negotiations over the phone." I told them that I would have to drive 45 miles round trip and would take the car outright if the price was within my budget. So their sales manager said: "Just come". At the dealership, after making us wait for more than 30 minutes (I guess it is part of the ploy as it makes the customer more "eager" to buy), the guy finally came back with an offer of 39K. What a joke! I asked him what the point was to advertise the car at 31K plus Tax if it was going to end up being 4-5K over the advertised rate. His reply: Well, there is great demand on this vehicle, we have only that one and we are also offering a special package with free oil changes for life and paint protection for five years. I told him that I did not want that package (I wanted to stay polite!) and he replied that it was a "compulsory" package. This guy did not want to make a deal. He was out to rob us blind! Purchased a new F150 Platinum on 8/15/19. We did our search on line and found the truck. Bob worked with us and showed a passion, purpose and persistence for his job. He worked out a good deal with us on our trade and our new purchase. When we arrived at the dealership we noticed if was not the usual big showroom. Instead it is a small and friendly atmosphere. He then proceeded to tell me that the car had been sold and he needed to take down the ad. He lied and said a hard pull had not been made on my credit and transferred me to a sales man named Michael. Not sure what for. How can you be the finance person and not know that you don't have a car on your lot and tell me to apply for credit? I made an appointment to test drive a car at 9:00am - after driving an hour to get there the salesperson informed me the car was not there, but had been loaned out the night before. If you go on a third party site it will not explain their fees at all. Only told them i wanted an oil change and spark plug service, they tried to convince me that my only option was to replace my entire 5.4 engine... which was unbelievably suspicious from the beginning so I said "Absolutely not, do the original services or give me back my vehicle today". They just deflected this by saying they weren't sure when they could do it just to get rid of me and not communicate or cooperate for weeks. Took my Wife's 2013 Explorer in to Chiefland Ford to get checked out because it was bucking and shuddering under acceleration. We left the car there and went to Walmart to kill some time. Around a hour and a half Later we came back and the service manager told us they couldn't get to it yet. We said fine and told him we would leave it with them and drove about 20 minutes home. As soon as we got in the house my phone rang and it was the service manager. He advised me they would need one more hour labor added to make it 2 hours at $139.00 X 2. I told him to go ahead. A couple hours later I get a call and it was the service guy. He told me that my transmission torque converter was bad and gave me a couple of unsettling options. One option was to get a new converter and flush the valve body for an outrageous amount of money. The other was to put a new transmission in it for somewhere around $6,000.00. I told him we would come and get it. Upon arrival he gave us a bill for $308.00. Included in the bill was $20 some bucks for shop supplies which they finally took off. No shop supplies are needed to hook up a scanner. The next day I took the car to Larry's Transmission in Williston and he told me to drain and fill the transmission with new oil. 5 quarts of new oil and 40 bucks walla, the problem is gone. Do not, I repeat do not go to Chief land ford. You will be sorry because they are nothing but incompetent thieves. 2 hours labor for a 30 minute scan. I wouldn't take a kids bike there for air in the tires. These folks are nothing but crooks and will screw you over in a heartbeat...I would rather rate them a zero but it won't let me.
