I've been going to Chief Therapy for 3 months now and it's been a game changer for me and my aching left lower back. It tightens up and can be very painful when bending or carrying things. The worst effect is when I walk it often tightens to such a degree I have to sit down to rest before going on. Since I've begun my regular appointments, the therapy I've received from Dr. Stewart has considerably lessened the severity of the pain and what's even more valuable, he's taught me ways to address the problem through exercises at home. Dr. Stewart starts each session with some light warm-ups and then gives me a skillfully executed massage, of course emphasizing my lower left back. Then we go into the very nice Chief Therapy gym where Dr. Stewart puts me through some exercises designed to loosen and strengthen the problem area. He's very sensitive to my age (76) and my conditioning (or lack of it), but pushes me just enough to get the most out of each session. Let me start with saying that I was struggling with shoulder pain for over two months and I was neglecting it. Finally I decided to see physical therapist and started doing my research and reading reviews. Finally I decided to go with Dr. Allen and I am glad that I did found the right Doctor for my pain. At very first appointment he identified the problems and started working with me. Dr. Allen is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, helpful and caring. He provides immense attention to you and your problems. I am very very happy that I can play with my son again as much as I want and also got back to sports which I was missing a lot. There is light at the end of the tunnel. I was recently diagnosed via MRI with several low back, disc, and arthritis in the spine issues. I was refereed by my primary to see if Physical therapist might help. I was referred to Chef Therapy Dr. Matthew Allen in Temecula. I wasn't sure what to expect. I've been to physical therapy before for an elbow issue and wasn't all that impressed with the assembly line type process. But this office was not like that at all. Dr. Allen works with you for a good while -"one on one". He listens, really pays attention to what you are telling him and works on you accordingly. The office is really nice and super clean. Wesley the office administrator is also so very sweet & pleasant. After a couple months of therapy and doing all that I was supposed to do (home exercise) so helpful -I feel like I am back to some type of normal living. When my son tore his ACL playing high school football, we knew we needed someone to help him get through the long recovery. Dr. Allen was it! I cannot even express how perfect he was. He is extremely professional and knowledgeable. His office staff is responsive and kind. He worked with my son in a way I don't think many could. Dr. Allen recently completed treating my 15 year old son for the last 6 months. My son had ACL reconstruction and a meniscus repair on his knee after sustaining the injury playing football. His rehabilitation was top notch. Dr. Allen spends the entire appointment with his patient. It is rare that you receive your entire physical therapy care from the Doctor. You are never passed on to an assistant to facilitate your care. He provides excellent individualize care while incorporating sport specific training in the rehab process. The facility provides an excellent environment to rehab with access to so many different modalities to make your rehab process successful. His office staff is kind, thorough and very helpful. Dr. Allen helped my elderly mother after suffering a fall. He used his excellent therapy techniques to help her back and leg recover with his tools and medical techniques/knowledge. My mother was excited with improvement and pain reduction that she bought some of the tools to practice his exercises. Dr. Allen is like doctors in old traditions, who become part of the family due to their outstanding respect to the human nature of the patient and make the best of the patient as their ultimate goal. I found Dr. Allen to be super humble and excellent communicator who managed to connect with mother despite her limited English skills. I chose Chief PT after my knee replacement because a friend had passed on really good reviews for knee rehab. I'm glad to say that hey were spot on. Dr. Sandoval knows her business and is very responsive to any client special and specific needs. In my case my non repaired knee is fast approaching the need for replacement and she was able to design work arounds that allowed the rehab of the repaired knee without causing a lot of pain in the "good" knee. Everybody in the office is fun to be around and that is saying something when your entire reason for being there is to work up a sweat making a repaired body part do things that it doesn't want to do. I guess my highest praise is that when I do get my other knee done I'll be right back to Chief for PT. read more

Our experience at Chief Physical Therapy was fantastic. Dr. Matt Allen was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive at our visit. He took the time to understand my sons knee injury and created a personalized treatment plan that is effective and manageable for our teenage son. dr allen is amazing. i was in pain for one month and having gone to the chiropractor and my medical doctor i was still suffering. a friend recommended dr. allen and withing within a day i was in his office having a really through exam. dr allen is professional, kind, gentle and most importantly knew exactly what to do for my pain. after a few treatments my pain went from a 10 to a zero. i was nervous about going however it was the best decision i have ever made. westley the office manager is very helpful when scheduling appointments and is enjoyable to talk to. thank you for caring for me and i will share my great experience with family and friends... go blue ... becky hopkins read more

My daughter injured her knee (PCL) while playing softball and was referred to Physical Therapy by her pediatrician. She was experiencing a lot of pain. Dr. Allen knew just what to do he was able to read her x-ray and identify the injury right away. He gave her very thorough sessions along with exercises to do at home. He also worked closely with the trainers at Victory Athletics so when my daughter trained with them they knew just what to do. After working with Dr. Allen and the trainers she was able to get back on the field. Dr. Allen and his assistant Wesley, are the easiest, most kind people to work with. 5 stars are not enough for Chief Physical Therapy. I have had back pain for 4 years and my doctor told me if injections didn't work then I would need surgery. Knowing there had to be other options and since I have 2 kids and can't have that long of down time, I found Dr.Allen and thank goodness I did! After 4 visits I am able to play with my kids and enjoy life again. The true one-on-one time for a whole 60-min that Dr.Allen provides to each and every patient makes the world of difference. Chief is the best physical therapy place I have ever been to. The entire staff is so awesome. They are very friendly and very welcoming. Dr. Sandoval is an excellent therapist! I spent months suffering excruciating hip pain. Sitting all day for work plus a lack of exercise had done in my left hip. Dr. Allen did a thorough examination and prescribed me specific stretches and a foam roller to try. I did the exercises multiple times and day and within two weeks my hip was 100%. I went from worrying that I wouldn't feel normal ever again to feeling like my old self in no time. In addition to being a great physical therapist, Dr. Allen is also a great guy! The one-on-one time (no turning you over to an assistant) spent with each patient is probably the most compelling reason I would recommend Dr. Allen. I have problems with my shoulder and knee. The physical therapy that was provided was excellent. Not only was the care and concern good, but I have learned how to strengthen these areas to prevent further damage and allow healing to happen. After 30 years of carrying and using a camera with my right arm, the pain got to consistent to put up with. On my first visit to Dr. Allen he said he could fix me up and his goal was to make sure I didn't have to see him for that issue ever again. He delivered!
