The man at the desk is super nice, the room was clean, the cable TV had extensive channels and the dog is cute. I hate to leave them a negative review because I like to support small, locally owned businesses but... I wish I has seen this review I am writing before I chose to stay there.
This hotel would be just fine at $55 a night, not $98. It is in no way worth spending that much to stay there. My room was #17 and it's not cute and quaint like some pics I have seen of a wood paneled room that is a throwback to the 40's with matching vanities and whatnot. Sterile ice blue walls, super bright overhead lighting, no pictures, cupboards falling apart, and a "febreeze" smell that was way way way too strong. I had to run the fan all night to disperse it. I thought I was going to have to leave. Note that I'm not a "need to stay at the Ritz" person. I love love love older strip, vintage, family owned motels and stay in them frequently. It would have been tolerable, just a "meh" of a place if not so overpriced.
