The provided breakfast with a B&B selection
    Kyle O.

My partner and I spent the night in and B&B Victorian suite, and absolutely loved it. The indoor plunges were very warm, and the outdoor pool was warm as well, perfect for the 40* temps. The outdoor pool could've been a bit warmer, but was still very enjoyable. The breakfast was simply amazing, and in my opinion very well worth the added expense. I've spend over 280 nights in hotels this past year, and this place had the best breakfast by far. The service was outstanding. The property is very old, and a little rough around the edges. If you're FROM Montana, it's pretty much what you would expect, I found it very homey. If you're unaccustomed to the country, keep in mind, this isn't a California Lake Tahoe luxury resort, it's a Montana gem.

A colorful history surrounds these hot springs. The Spanish-style structures and pools were build in 1888, and the property changed hands several times over the decades and eventually fell into neglect. The current owner is restoring the property in sections, and it has respectable functioning soaking and sleeping facilities. There are 3 indoor pools with separate men's and women's soaking pools and steam rooms. Suits required on the men's side, clothing optional on the ladies' side. Most of the clientele was female, and there is a distinct vibe about the place in that regard. The lobby is filled with books and there is a sense of healing about the place. Not only is the entire property smoke free, but it is alcohol free as well. In fact, there are weekly Allonon meetings here. The folks at Boulder Hot Springs have taken the idea of the spring's healing waters and those tendrils expand throughout the resort. There is a tangible sense of purifying, acceptance, and peace here. One of the lodging sections has been repaired and encases quaint rooms with different styles. The least expensive of the rooms goes for $109 in the summer, $99 in the winter and have shared bathroom facilities. The beds are comfortable, the furniture and decor rustic and tidy. The section of the hotel that has not been repaired yet has a Hitchcock-esque tower and rumored to house a ghost. After surveying the property, it's obvious that this was a beautiful resort with fantastic soaking pools. There is one pool that is so ramshackle even all of Oprah's money couldn't fix it. It's a shame as well, as is was a large pool which offered great views and was surrounded by a raised patio area. It is also apparent how much love the current owner is giving the grounds. If you are in the area, stop by for a stay, or donate to this labor of love. Anyone who appreciates a good soak will approve of the tenderness, love, and repair going into the place. This setting really is a healthy mind, body, and soul retreat. Peace and relaxation, my friends.

I called the Inn to let them know and they were more than understanding, saying that their restaurant would still be open by the time of our arrival and that they would have a glass of wine waiting for us upon our arrival. We did not arrive until 10:00 PM and received a warm greeting and as promised, the bartender was ready to pour us a glass of wine. We were able to sip it on the lovely outdoor eating area and fall asleep on the most comfortable bedding. Seriously, the beds here are magic. Rooms are very small and do not have A/C. Simply opening the window will suffice to bring in some cool air. Each wing has a communal bathroom. Bathrooms have all amenities needed moreover; each room has a cute bag of travel toiletries per bed. The building itself is both charming and formidable. While I see its potential, it is lacking in some upkeep and restoration. This the only downside. Something to note, there is a train that passes quite frequently and can be heard during all hours. This did not phase me in the slightest because of the wine. My favorite part by far was breathing in the fresh air and exploring the grounds in the early morning. The sky was beautiful and I managed to get in some pretty special photographs. It seriously put a smile on my face to see pigs roaming around and chickens out being chickens... With that being said, I would definitely stay here again should I find myself in the area.
