We have been ordering or picking up food from Chidoz Nijmegen for quite some time and have been loyal customers. Until now.
We ordered our usual " build your own bowl" and we always choose black rice. I know what cooked rice looks like and yes black rice is more chewy than normal white rice. This rice had a small amount cooked and what looks like an employee decided to make the rest with raw rice, instead of cooking more if there was no cooled rice left for the order. It was definitely raw, you could hear the rice rattle on the bottom of the bowl and when you tried to bite your food, there was rock hard pieces of raw rice that cracked on you teeth if you bit harder. That is completely unacceptable. Especially after waiting over an hour for the food.
My husband called Chidoz Nijmegen to complain as our food was inedible. He spoke to am employee who was instantly dismissive and claimed that's the way the rice is! And she just checked the rice and it was fine ( yeah maybe it was, now, after an hour and was actually cooked). She said it was UberEATS problem now and to take it up with them which is ridiculous as they are responsible for the food preparation, not UberEATS.
My husband called back got another employee, who was ride and clearly just wanted to hang up.
I know it's hard to find capable and polite people in the workforce.
But being this rude to loyal customers who spent a lot of money in this establishment. Well the chances of us ordering here again are slim to none.
If you like raw rice, can afford dental work and like being spoken to as if you are a moron? Then I fully recommend this place. read more
